Okay, I only just found this campaign, and I’m working through it, but I got to this part, and I’m trying to be conscious of the spoiler culture in the comments here, but I’m SCREAMING. 2:07:26 - 2:08:34. The Lottery. That is the most coldly logical and *horrendously* cruel use of a creature’s regenerative abilities I’ve ever seen anyone come up with, and it makes PERFECT SENSE. The absolute worst part of it is how genuinely clever and, goddamn it, a good use of available materials it is. If you need to stretch out your food supply, that is a horrifically excellent way to do it. This is such an excellent combination of two creatures and their respective abilities & needs to make the most absolutely stomach-churning plot ever. Stunning work. Damn.

The lottery is the most disturbing thing that’s happened in any of the campaigns I’ve listened to so far. This includes all of edge of midnight. It may be because edge of midnight is more consistently horror, and so the shock amplifies this, but it has the visceral and psychological elements, as well as the story telling around it to be the worse thing to come out of these campaigns. (As in, that was fantastically horrifying, holy shit.) Snatching away the play with all the setup is the most savage thing I’ve ever witnessed a DM do in D&D so far. My mouth was agape further than any plot twist or reveal.

Just started the episode and I love that Mikey decided to cosplay as cool dad Gricko lmao. OMFG Derek is truly the god of this campaign as seen basically half way threw this session. Props to that masterman!! Lastly I love how everyone but Richie and Nikkie reacted to the "??" thing at about 2:10:00 lol they seemed to enjoy it and with those beautiful locks it makes sense hahaha. BTW Merry Christmas from 2024!! I love Y'all and hope to see your other players in new campaigns with no offense as I just want more minds twisting the chaotic nature off any of these campaigns as it just feeds to the epicness you all provide.

The lottery is the most disturbing thing that’s happened in any of the campaigns I’ve listened to so far. This includes all of edge of midnight. It may be because edge of midnight is more consistently horror, and so the shock amplifies this, but it has the visceral and psychological elements, as well as the story telling around it to be the worse thing to come out of these campaigns. (As in, that was fantastically horrifying, holy shit.) Snatching away the play with all the setup is the most savage thing I’ve ever witnessed a DM do in D&D so far. My mouth was agape further than any plot twist or reveal.
