Hi Rajeev, Please don't say anything about your job during interviews. Just say that you will be not working. it's illegal to work in H4 visa in USA. Please avoid that, however it's your decision.
If your h1b petition will not file this year then again you have to go through the lottery process for next year. So it's totally your personal decision.

And in the visa centre they will match the birth certificate and passport if needed usually they don't .

This will create an issue for your visa Interview. All information should be matched with your details. There is a way to fix this called e-request.egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Intro.do
If your company is big then no but if it is small company then might be. If you don't have the this document with you then don't worry nothing will happen. Because while filing the petition your company provide all the details with USCIS.

Hi Rohit, I could share my personal experience. Recently I also booked Visa slots and I was qualified for dropbox. I didn't get appointments and later I changed dropbox to In Person Interview and got the appointments. I suggest to do the same and see.

Hello Pathik, Congratulation for B1 to H1 Visa. I would suggest go for in person interview even though you are eligible for dropbox. There is couple of reasons, 1. It is difficult to get the dropbox appointments. 2.You will be taking your dependents along with you on interview date. On the day almost all questions will be asked to you not from dependents. But if you book separate appointment for H4 then questions will be asked to them only. Please fill DS160 forms together. Hope this is fine.

Hi Bharati, We had shared our personal experience for the H1B and H4 interview. We haven't said that only mentioned documents are required. You always have to check with your employer Immigration team for the required documents.

In the affidavit you have to mention that both the person are the same. Means your name in marriage certificate and name in passport you need to mention.

No no. That's not right. You both can come together and it will be easy to get the visa stamping done for you and H4. We did the same.

Hello, my H1B has been approved and I came to my country for visa stamping. I became qualified for the interview waiver but since I would like to apply for my spouse who has never been to the US before, how can I cancel my interview waiver to go with my spouse for the visa interview. Hi Rohit, I could share my personal experience. Recently I also booked Visa slots and I was qualified for dropbox. I didn't get appointments and later I changed dropbox to In Person Interview and got the appointments. I suggest to do the same and see.

5. Was your most recent U.S. visa issued after January 1, 2008? -YES
6.Did your most recent application result in you being issued the visa? YES
7.Then you will get option to select dropbox or in-person Interview

@@aniqueshah29 Don't be in rush to work in abroad. 1st you complete the Bachelor degree and get a job in IT company and stay there for sometimes and ask them to apply for H1B visa or any other country work visa. There is no shortcuts.

Hello Tushar. Don't worry about the visa Interview. Just prepare for it. They ask basic questions like where will you live in US, what is your role and responsibilities. Who is the employer and client etc.

Hi Tushar, Thank you for the positive comments. There is no recession in the IT Service based companies. Yes some product based companies are firing H1B workers. If you are in product based company then there will be a chance to get fired and this happens all across the world including India. so don't worry.

Hello Pathik, Congratulation for B1 to H1 Visa. I would suggest go for in person interview even though you are eligible for dropbox. There is couple of reasons,
1. It is difficult to get the dropbox appointments.
2.You will be taking your dependents along with you on interview date. On the day almost all questions will be asked to you not from dependents. But if you book separate appointment for H4 then questions will be asked to them only.
Please fill DS160 forms together.

Hello, I have one additional question.
My wife has a very good professional career here in India. She will visit me in US only during holidays and she will make sure not to work while on US soil. Now what should be her answer to VO if she is asked questions regarding her plans in USA? Should we explain all this in Interview or should we take some other approach? Not sure if this will negatively impacts on H4 approval.

Hi Bharati, We had shared our personal experience for the H1B and H4 interview. We haven't said that only mentioned documents are required. You always have to check with your employer Immigration team for the required documents.
Is it mandatory to have the surname to be in sync between marriage certificate and passport of women ?
My marriage certificate has my surname as Tunuguntla while my passport has my surname as Achuta..

In the affidavit you have to mention that both the person are the same. Means your name in marriage certificate and name in passport you need to mention.
