      Inside the little nock I would have used it for a mirror 🪞 and vanity small chair 💺 would have made it even more beautiful and it would have made the bathroom look much larger from the larger reflection of the mirror 🪞

      It's so hard to find someone with a gift that uses it to help other people realize their wants, or respect the original design. These videos are great because really everyone's wish is to hire someone that makes their dreams appear but it is hard to find someone like that, these videos are anxiety free. ❤
      I love barkeeper's friend. Looks like a good regrout is in order in those tiles.

      I'm just curious if you were wearing a mask when you sanded down the walls? Or while you are painting such a small space? The reason I ask is only because of the numerous people who may not know how unhealthy it is to paint & DEFINITELY sand anything without wearing the proper protection. I personally found out the hard way.

I bought a house with a yellow bathroom….definitely planned to change that color…..until Day 1 when the sun shone thru a tiny southern exposure window bouncing joyful light around the room. YUM! Was so excited for this video and it didn’t disappoint! Your creativity is amazing. From the shower curtain to the multiple uses of pole wrap and hook diys! Everything is pretty and purposeful. I love the yellow ceiling and how you brought it down to the top part of the wall, that looks super elevated and I’ll have to remember it! As always I also love that you worked with some of the existing features too. Question: is there a way to put some clear rubber tubing (like the kind used for aquarium pumps-don't they come in different diameters/lengths?) over/around the top part of the bamboo on the sink to keep it as dry as possible? I rented all my life and wherever we moved my mother would repaint the whole house and fix the floor if she could. Her father was a housepainter and she thought it was a necessity.
    Bright, warm, off white was her standard. Adding color was for paintings and decorations. Our apartments were always bright and clean. A good paint job works wonders. ❤

    Bleach works really well on tiles. I spray bleach directly, not diluted, and close the door and leave it for a while. I have tried in the shower and work really well. The smell is unpleasant, that’s why I live it with the door closed. I bought an expensive product and realized it was bleach too. Great job. New to your channel ❤

A toe-kick space for your feet to stand at the sink, two small chrome, dollar store brackets to better secure the soap shelf, and since there's a curtain and towel(s) nearby, just an orange faux candle instead of the real candle and orange box of matches. Thank you so much for making your videos! I love them!

    Very impressed! I just happened to stumble on this video, scrolling, looking for something to watch. I love bathroom and laundry room make overs on a budget. This video did not disappoint! I love your ideas and all your budget friendly tips. Score on that Market Place Cabinet, very nice. I've always loved the quirkiness of Craftsman's with unusual built ins, like the cabinet and alcove. The tip you gave about using cheap paint vs better quality and how much time it can save is so true. My only concern is the wood slats around the sink; with water being splashed the wood will absorb the moisture. Maybe you did this and didn't mention it, but a coat of poly to protect it from wetness. The touch of yellow and blue, pretty. Nicely done!

    • @livingwithlk
      @livingwithlk  7 месяцев назад +1

      Awesome, thank you!! Hi and welcome! 👋 I love Craftsman homes too -- they're so gorgeous. And the wood around the sink won't come in contact with too much water (I think) however there is a coating on the pole wrap it feels a tad waxy so I think it will repel water.. but I was thinking of adding a rubber-type trim on top and bottom however we shall see as its in three pieces...

    I love the cupboard and nook you created, the floor covering, the light and paint.
    The pictures and decor. The shiwer curtain, little stool with goodies, moving the toilet roll holder. Polishing up the old light fitting. Scrubbing the floor.
    The green lamp.
    The plants and decor with crystals. The paint colours are all lovely.

    What a lovely job you did. Its great that the blue tiles look refreshed and add the vintage style to the room. The mix of old and new with the ceiling is great. Glad your feeling better, what a massive effort given how sick you looked.

    I was very doubtful at the beginning that it was going to look ok but by the end I was so excited by the changes you made. Your budget was very restrictive but you pulled it off. Such a great job and while you were also sick! Just wow! ❤

      Well I’m glad I surprised you haha! Thank you! To be honest, I often question if the end result will really be worth it and work out, even though I kind of know deep down it will.. especially with all the upfront energy I put into it… thankfully most of the time it works out after WEEKS or months of debating it hahaha

    You have to leave the cleaner soaking there before scrubbing it off next time! Just a little tip from a gal who has six dogs and a cat 😭♥️ if you do this, I promise you 90% of the dark dirt will come off! You can also fill in with grout after cleaning! This is what I do every few years
