The most exciting thing about these raids is the fact that with each passing one, we're that much closer to them running out of starters, which means we get to take the copium and speculate that maybe, just maybe, the next raid will be something interesting.

They could do a raid similar to what they did for zeraora in sword and shield. We just needed to KO it and we get it in our boxes after the event. (We can farm the items)

My headcanon is that shiny legendarys and mythicals are possible. That's why they are shiny locked in game. Heh just let a man dream in peace.

Koraidon one shot him. Haven't had one of those for a raid in a while
3 Screech, one Swords Dance, one Life Orb Collision Course. Even only getting two Screeches off will put Infernape low enough that you can brute force the rest after that magnum Collision course

@@drakeling870 Slightly NPC dependent but should work after a few tries minimum. Getting Sylveon, Arboliva, an Intimidator, Bellibolt, Gardevoir, and maybe one other will help immensely.
The one who will mess up the strategy is Heracross.

Not possible. Its shield goes up before you're even finished buffing/debuffing.
Nevermind, I just needed NPCs that wouldn't do too much damage.

I suggest Kommo-o with its Body Press set thanks to its Bulletproof ability, which it blocks Aura Sphere.

worked great, not the first time cause I got crit too much and didn't do it in the right order, after learning the attack pattern it worked
@@monochromekirby2919 it worked, but I’m gonna go stellar though because that way he’s dragon cheer as it makes the crit much more likely as despite not using any defensive boosting moves. It’s still ideal to pretty much hit as hard as you can with body press., even easier defense than your attack.

Infernape is tera rock because it has to reference to a specific rock that cracked opened and a famous monkey hatched from it.

One button build: Fighting Tera Iron hands with Draining Punch and metronome
I can't believe that works. I used my regular Iron Hands for the raid with that strat and I finished the raid with about 40% of the time remaining. I even got useless NPC for the raid, so I didn't rely on intimidators or wall setters to tank the hits. Iron Hands was able to tank a few crits and heal completely with Draining Punch
Annihilape works for this too.
I'm amazed that it's not actually taking advantage of it's Hidden Ability. No punching moves, at all. This should've been difficult, with how versatile Infernape's movepool is.

Used a Metronome but this worked great to me. But i also had 2 turns of him paralyzed that spared my ass after i died once so i was pretty lucky too.
I feel like they are doing easy ones both to take a break after Insineroar and to catch us relaxed with a very complicated one out of nowhere.
Dropped him quick with Kommo-o. Two Nobel roars. One Screech one drain punch, one belly drum then metronome drain punches till KO

I caught it after getting the raid active at 00 : 02 UCT or 1 : 02 AM in my region. I used an Iron Hands that I'd nicknamed 'These Hands' and it turns out Infernape really didn't want these hands. Moves where: Focus Energy, Drain Punch, Force Palm and Belly drum. Careful nature after a mint and Maxed Sp.Def and HP. For some reason the Infernape liked using ONLY Aura sphere and Grass knot to attack Iron hands.
It probably still did more than its physical moves would have. In vgc some iron hands ran similair evs with an assault vest on top of all that
The classic belly drum Azu set seems like it would work. Yeah it’s weak to grass knot but it’s not very heavy.

@@iamjstew___4473 I think you’re thinking of heavy slam or heat crash? But that’s the other direction.
Azumarill has sap sipper as it's hidden ability so if you have one of the hidden ability patches spare then the Grass Knot part wouldn't do much. I didn't use it myself though as I went with a Heal/Anti-Physical Support mon in a group.

Tried out using Sinistcha and Dondozo, neither worked out so I busted out Annihilape again. And because it has the Rock Terra type, I named Infernape after Sun Wukong.
I used good old DrainDrum x Shell Bell Iron Hands and got it first try. Also Austin your chapters say Incineroar.
Took a few tries and some RNG but Iron Hands did do it for me. Tomorrow I'll try the Drago fighters. Never even thought of them
Dachsbun still works just fine. Though I wasn’t expecting a Mixed attacker with NO punching moves to be boosted by Iron fist
Unfortunately I missed the last couple (and a few other ones). Hopefully once they finish all the starters they will do the repeats more often.
Annihilape looking real good for this one, you resist tera blast and are immune to aura sphere and between bulk up and intimidate allies, grass knot is the only damage at base 80 without STAB or any boosts outside of crits so you should easily out-drain punch after a few boosts. Add screech to speed things up before the shield and it's pretty much a guaranteed win

His shield prevents screech, I had learned this the hard way
Iron Hands for the easy solo!! just use Drain Punch a few times until he lowers your stats, then use Belly Drum, then Tera, Drain Punch and Close Combat for the win!!
Kommo-o seems like an even better counter, same typing but immune to Aura Sphere with Bullet Proof and can take even less damage with Iron Defense, and with that same very Iron Defense it can do some fairly good damage with Body Press, or even Swords Dance+Drain Punch.
Although, looking at comments, Koraidon has a chance to OHKO.

That tera crown is comically huge!!!
Surprisingly easy, used metronome and drain punch with Koridon, there was a Gardivour using live dew too so never fainted once lol
Having a life dew gardevoir as an ai partner really is a life saver…

Considering the strategy that Austin John used, maybe Kommo-o could use the Belly Drum strategy here.

This is the first one in awhile that I had to use a solo build for, the main issue is how hard infernape can hit before any boosts.

just to make it challenging, I had to use a Chesnaught build
I used Annihilape in my first attempt against Infernape but didn't go to well so I used Iron Hands in my 2nd attempt & got him. Used an Ultra Ball to catch Infernape. I followed Osirus technique for it. Make sure Iron Hands holds the item Scope Lens as it will help you out really good. In the battle, use Focus Energy first & then use Drain Punch twice. Once Infernape nullifies the stats & abilities on your side, use Belly Drum to get your attack power up & then use Drain Punch until you can Tera & then keep using Drain Punch all the way until Infernape faints.

I came into this with a Koraidon i was using for Battle stadium singles and so I didn’t have drain punch but I did have swords dance so that helped out, Collision Course even without Tera did me good
This koraidon set was more reliable than the iron hands I was using cause it had a very small amount of successful wins compared to losses.
Swords dance iron hands did it for me
Wish they did the mewtwo one again, I hadnt finished the game when that one came out
I beat this thing with Tera fighting max hp/atk iron hands and just spammed drain punch, didn’t even belly drum
Quick heads up: if you’re gonna use Koraidon, make sure you give it an Assault Best because those Aura Spheres will take out a huge chunk of HP! Especially when Infernape uses Nasty Plot
Body Press Zamazenta coming in clutch again for this solo raid running Snarl with Iron Defense.
My build consisted of Koraidon + metronome for item to hold. Since he outsped Infernape, I kept spamming Drain Punch until I broke the shield. Once the shield broke, Infernape went down after 3 Collision Course. I did die twice while using this strategy, but it only took me one try.
Has no punching moves yet has iron fist as an ability.
I blazed through it only using electric terrain Drain punch and belly drum. On my iron hands With max HP ev's And max attack ev's
I thought this would be an easy raid to farm online, but no surprise, people bring in two Bellibolts and an Appletun and just die three times in a row...
I used malamar fighter tera. Same strat with the incineroar but a little different. Reflect first turn, Skill swap afterwards, then let it kill you. once you revive again, superpower your way out and boom you win.
(Btw use a shell bell item. And make sure it has tera blast cuz youll run out of super powers)
Evs: max atks, max def, little hp/little sp def.
I used Annihilape ev max attack and hp and tera fighting. Bulkup and drain punch. Easy win

My opportunist Espathra should have fun with this.
I had to do annialape with covert cloak & ev hp & attack with focus energy, screech, drain punch mx pp & bulk up. Took 6 resets but it rewarded me well with 4 different herba. Lol. I beat it with 1/4 of the timer because I the npcs I had were a corviknight with pressure, staraptor with intimidate, & gardevoir with life dew lol
So use my shiny hyper trained arcuse with fighting plate. Got it.
"Incineroar info" it says on the video chapters. Somebody's got some PTSD.
I did this one last night, second try with Annihilape Drain punch+ metronome spam and fighting TERA. I realized during the battle why its a rock TERA, which is horrible....It because Ceruledge exists. They likely wanted to give it ground, but it would have been walled completely by flying TERA Ceruledge.
I feel like usin a Metagros. I’ll see if I can make it work but if I can’t I’ll use Koraidon too.

I’m probably am going to be using my Bottle Capped Koraidon but then again Kommo-O has a strategy with it to. For those who are using Kommo-O what’s your build with it? Also this raid is easy like the 7 Star Tera Electric Emboar. And I’m surprised it doesn’t have any moves to take advantage of Iron Fist to.

Tried with Koraidon, he did 2 pulse sphere in a row and killed me while i was in tera and at half shield down. The moment he starts to sword dance and double attacking, i'm gone. But Iron Hands worked great

one catch I notice is careful of when he sets up
If you want to help randoms who dont know what they are doing, then i suggest good old Malamar with contrary. Simply skill swap then use swagger then light screen. Then wait. If your group isn't completely helpless, you should win. Note I said if. Some groups still get stuck.
As someone who spent a lot of time doing an Infernape Only run of Violet, I can confirm that Infernape IS that weak defensively. It's a great sweeper, but its defenses are lackluster at best.
So uh The Chapters says Incineroar instead of Infernape, might need to fix that Austin

I can't believe people say this was one of the easiest, even when doing exactly the same as every solo video I've seen using Koraidon, Annihilape, Iron Hands, Kommo-o and Malamar and none worked, it took me hours of tries to finally beat Infernape and was only able to do it with a full team of Kommo-o, I wouldn't say this is THE hardest but I'm so sick of this fight and specially Infernape's cry
