As long as you don't have any other veggies in your inventory/storage, the veggie platter is a way better option. Make it with 5 pumpkins instead of just 3 and it sells for around 4,000 I believe 🙊
@@ValleySpot highly recommend! If ~500 pumpkin puffs (made with 1 pumpkin) sell for ~800k as is asserted in the video, your method (made with 5 pumpkins) is only half as good. 100x4000 is only 400k.

I came here to mention this. The actual profit when accounting for seed cost is a bit rough to actually calculate because of the bonus pumpkins you get from having a gardening buddy with you. I think she said 297 seeds though which @ 275 each would cost 81,675 . That said, total profit from puffs accounting for 297 seeds would be 505,815 instead of 587,490 she stated not taking seeds into account.
Don’t really get the point in farming just for coins anyway. Easy enough to buy basically everything without having to waste your gaming experience farming pumpkins
You also can make a grilled veggie platter, you use 3 pumpkins (what is worth 1992 starcoins), and when its a platter you can sell it for 2787 starcoins. So you wont spill money for the cheese and eggs. Only for buying the pumpkins (:
iv gotten 1.3m just for having every slot filled with pumpkins. i mean this way is nice but personally farming up pumpkins is good but if you are to do this farm properly you would have to max out the storage and have 50 in each slot to maximise the cost the goofy gives you. just chucking that out there to let people know if they want to do this
You can also make a grilled veggie platter with three pumpkins which sells for 2,787. Since you are using three pumpkins at a time you don’t need to cook as many meals to use up all your pumpkins or buy other materials:)
Also, if you take all your other veggies in your inventory and home chest, and drop them on your home floor, you can use the auto fill button since the only veggie available will be pumpkins!
If you just make grilled veggie plates using only pumkins you'll have a better turnover. Using three pumpkins the grilled veggie platter is 2,787 which is 929 per pumkin. Don't use any more than three pumkins in the recipe. Because if you use 4 pumpkins the plate will be 3,451 which is a profit of 862.75 per pumkin and the 5 pumkin recipe is 4,115 which turns out to be 823 per pumpkin.
Pumpkim soup is a better choice imo... specially if you only have pumpkims in your inventory (so it will use 2 pumpkims and will sell for 2,5k) and you only need milk and ginger
Would you not want to also factor in the cost of the seeds for planting the pumpkins as well, as that's still an ingredient and cost? There's still clearly a profit made, but i feel as that should be considered as well.
The cost of the seeds is the same whether you sell the plain pumpkins or the pumpkin puffs, so I decided not to include them in this comparison, but they were 81,675 Star Coins. Hope that helps!
Another video idea you might want to add is having more gardening buddies. With 10 gardening buddies at level 10 and bringing at least one of them along when I went to harvest my 260 pumpkin seeds (as opposed to your 297 seeds) I ended up with 790 (with 5 golden harvests) compared to your 592 pumpkins. The more gardening buddies you have the higher the chances you double or even triple your harvests. This applies for every other role as well but since you're a pumpkin farmer, I thought I'd share with a fellow crop hunter that having more gardening buddies increases your yield, tremendously.

the best meal is a pumpkin platter only make it with 3 i saw someone else say with 5 pumpkins 3 you get more profit around 980 per pumpkin and with 5 it’s about 880
Souffles are as fast if not faster than pumpkins and only require the cooking part instead of the waiting for pumpkins to harvest part and then cooking on top of that (Assuming you turn your pumpkins into pumpkin puffs). Here's the math: Time (5 seconds per food) I can cook a Souffle in 5 seconds or rather WE can cook ANYTHING in 5 seconds, the animation to autofill takes up between 1.2 to 1.5 seconds, the delay before you can hit the 'cook' button is about roughly 1 second or less, the animation at the end before you can skip the 'cook done' process is between 2 to 2.3 seconds Therefore, it takes an optimized maximum of 5 seconds to cook anything. This is measured precisely using a software so it's rather accurate to say it takes an average of 5 seconds or less if you spam the buttons. You can buy all the ingredients from Remy's at 820 total which is 1 cheese (180), 1 milk (230), 1 egg (220), 1 butter (190). Each souffle sells for 1230, making a tidy profit of 410. Throw in coal from Kristoff for 5 gold per piece and that only brings profit down to 405. This means you get a profit of 4860 per minute and 291,600 per hour. Multiplied by 4 hours because that's how long pumpkins takes to harvest and you've got a tidy 1,166,400 coins. Assuming you prefer purely button mashing for four hours over roughly 15-30 minutes of planting, watering, idling/doing other work, watering again, finally harvesting the pumpkins then COOKING them, you still gain a much higher profit than cooking pumpkin puffs.
Not sure how you've come up with 405, but the cost of 1 milk, 1 cheese, 1 egg and 1 butter is 820 or 825 with the coal. So only 410 profit (you seem to have swapped the cost and profit). However the rest of the data looks accurate so taking 5 seconds average per meal then souffle is 4920 a minute or 295,200 per hour. If you grow pumpkins in the forgotten lands they only take 3h36 minutes, however + planting and harvesting time it probably is about 4 hours, but then you have 45m cooking time as well and in 4h45m you could make 1,402,200 from souffle. Not quite as much, but still higher. It's a lot more effor though 450,000 profit for around 75m work or 1,402,200 profit for 285m work. The pumpkins win for effor per coin, the souffle for coins per minute.
@@nekogod I made a mistake keying in the numbers at the wrong spot but I did edit the post to reflect the correct numbers. But indeed, in exchange for effort you get coins faster with souffles and with less effort you can go for pure pumpkins but if you're going to also cook it into puffs, you might as well go straight for souffles which is why I posted it here instead of the original pumpkins video.
My question is could you have farmed that same number of pumpkins again in that 45 minute time period and sold them as well as the first batch for more than the amount you made by cooking them?
I dug 300 holes in forgotten lands all together and planted 300 pumpkin seeds. I sell and make about $800-$850,000 star coins and harvest when ready with a harvesting companion to get extra pumpkins. After I’m done harvesting I go to goofy’s stall (I put right next to the pumpkins so I can have quick access) and I sell the pumpkins and then I buy 300 more seeds and plant again. All that takes me about 25-30 min to do. I do it in the morning before work then afternoon after work and finally at night before bed. And I always make over a million star coins (I’m at 11 million right now) I also put apple trees and gooseberry bushes to eat and fill up my energy bar, or before that you can just go to Remy’s realm to make and then eat soufflés to really get the bar high. Just need like 2 soufflé’s, they’re free to make but make sure you eat them before you leave the realm, can’t take them with you.
If I recall correctly (and if there's no recipe that uses pumpkin/veg and 2 eggs or 2 cheese), you can get more profit per pumpkin by just adding more eggs and/or cheese. I believe, don't quote me, that both the energy restored and the coin value go up by adding more ingredients so long as it doesn't change the product to a different recipe.
It’s funny because to me planting that many vegetables is way too time consuming. I make about fifty soufflés and sell those every once in a while. I also love going on mining sprees.
After several cooking sessions of the soufflé, Kristof stopped selling coal and changed to snowballs. Not sure if it changes daily or not. But he’s had no coal for 3 days. If that’s the case, it’s still better to just farm.
It does seem to change every day, but as both you and I have noticed, it can take a while for certain things to come back into stock. I'm going to put a chest next to Kristoff's stall just for stocking up on coal next time it's around.
Whenever he has it on stock just buy as many as you can and store it. I have like 4500 coal in my storage lol. Cooking souffles is better than cooking pumpkins though
Thank you this! 😊 Please include the cost of the seed packets. If you mine as much coal as possible, it lessens the up front costs. I am hoarding as much coal as possible as I haven’t unlocked the biome with pumpkins yet. So, by the time I do, I won’t have to buy as much coal and will have more profit.
There's even more money making ways. If you cook a certain fish dish, using the anglerfish and pumpkin for every veggie slot, you can make 2.6k a dish. WIth the 500 pumpkins, you could make 1.3 million
I didn’t even notice you could buy coal… are you sure they didn’t remove that? I’m going to check when I get home LOL.. it’s so hard to get choral mining now
I still think the good old souffles are the way to go. No farming needed, I can just buy boxes full of the ingredients and then start hammering 3 buttons on the controller while watching a movie. Which atleast at my pace gives a ~400k profit per hour.
Lobster rolls are underrated.. You spend less money on buying ingredients and if you take your fishing buddy while looking for lobsters. I made the money back for the 32 butter I bought with only THREE of the lobster rolls I made.
I’m trying to figure out what the purpose is of having a couple million star coins. You could probably buy every item at Scrooges shop for at most 100,000 a day and that’s easy money to make in a day. Sure you can also buy crafting materials from Kristof but how much stuff do you need to craft? I have 2 million and now I just make gardens as decorations and keep a medium size plot of pumpkins growing in the Dark Forest so I’m not a slave to planting, watering and harvesting.
The cost for pumpkin seeds in this case would be 81,675 Star Coins. That makes the total start up price for the Pumpkin Puffs biz 301,185 and the total start up price for the Plain Pumpkin biz 81,675 Star Coins.
I feel like the time u spend cooking the food you could be using planting new pumkings and have them grow while u do other things. I dont really like spending all my time making money in this game cus it is really repetitive.. i am so lazy i just put a nail clipper in my keybord holding E. while my character plant or farm her stuff i will go afk, watch youtube or tiktok. also having wireless headphones helps alot if u like to go afk while she does the farming.. u can hear when she stops or needs energy. :p
Pumpkin seeds are in Forgotten Lands at Goofy's stall. You'll need Dreamlight to get access if you haven't done so yet. Cheese and eggs can be purchased at Chez Remy once you get him up and running by doing a few errands for him. You can get your own coal by mining, but if you'd rather just buy it, it's sometimes for sale at Kristoff's cart. You can unlock his cart by doing quests for him and for Maui. Hope this helps and happy cooking!
How much time it took? Probably more time than what it would take me if I had the Unity project files to add a "cook X amount" button and compile the whole damn thing, trololo. :D
I have 377 plots, i net between 700-800 pumpkins. On average i get back 480k every 4 hours. I do it twice a day. If it didn't take forever to cook i would do this method
So the actual profit is 227,690 But if you’ve got the time and patience that’s not bad considering your next crop of pumpkins should be growing while you cook. Did you see my comment on your dailies video about how to organize your flowers? I also keep my peanuts carrots lobster seaweed blueberries and if I happen to have extra white sturgeon but that’s pretty rare… makes it easy to just drop the chest and pull out food for animals when you see them rather than having to plan ahead.
Can you verify my comparison of this to soufflés? I feel like the gardening adds a lot more work to it and that cost. A single soufflé is 🌟820 and you get 🌟1200 so I got total profit of 🌟205960 for 542 soufflés but the pumpkins add 240 minutes + 🌟149050 cost so that puts it at less profits but way less time and resources. In the 240 minutes to just grow the pumpkins (exclude planting watering and harvesting) I could have made 2890 soufflés making my total profit 🌟1099100.

I've noticed that there are a lot of Memory Pieces that can only be obtained by cooking, and I've been growing tons of pumpkins. I know it might be time consuming but could be a good way to work on completing those Memories while also turning a profit.

Pumkin soup is even more worth than the puffs. A puff is 1400 and the soup 1500. And the ingredients are cheaper too, you need a pumpkin, ginger, milk and a random vegetable
You can buy it from Kristoff's stall, but he doesn't always stock it so check back every day until he's selling it and then stock up. If you don't have access to his stall, do some quests for Kristoff and Maui and it'll happen pretty soon!

I can never get enough coal, I’ll mine every rock in the world and only get 30 if I am lucky.
And on the odd day Kristoff sells coal I can only buy 5!
@@BernardoOne what’s in the soufflé
@@Dabunniii the 4 main things from remy’s, milk, egg, cheese, butter
@@Dabunniii Still time consuming though.... 20k invested only nets about 8k profit, so that plus time to me = not worth it.
They really need to add a mass cooking option
What was the cost of the seeds in your net profit?
At least someone tried this! Good job
Are you not going to calculate the cost of the seeds in it?
How can you fishing in Sunlit?
Lobster rolls are my favourite way to make star coins
Love all of your valley videos
Did you count the cost of the seeds?
I’m trying to figure out what the purpose is of having a couple million star coins. You could probably buy every item at Scrooges shop for at most 100,000 a day and that’s easy money to make in a day. Sure you can also buy crafting materials from Kristof but how much stuff do you need to craft? I have 2 million and now I just make gardens as decorations and keep a medium size plot of pumpkins growing in the Dark Forest so I’m not a slave to planting, watering and harvesting.
You can drag ingredients?? I just click them....
did you factor in the pumpkin seeds too? have to plan ahead to make sure one can do it.
The cost for pumpkin seeds in this case would be 81,675 Star Coins. That makes the total start up price for the Pumpkin Puffs biz 301,185 and the total start up price for the Plain Pumpkin biz 81,675 Star Coins.
There's also an additional $149,050 for the pumpkins seeds at $275 a piece. so a total profit of $438, 440. Still not a bad haul.
I spent $81,675 on pumpkin seeds for this video. The extra pumpkins you are calculating are freebies that are earned from using a gardening buddy.
Can we talk about cute your little outfit is?
I was going to say 5 Horus but 45 mins is much better! I am not able to harvest pumpkins yet so I need to find your other video!
How can I get Pumpkin seeds though?
I am new. Where do you get pumpkin seeds and eggs cheese etc please?
Pumpkin seeds are in Forgotten Lands at Goofy's stall. You'll need Dreamlight to get access if you haven't done so yet. Cheese and eggs can be purchased at Chez Remy once you get him up and running by doing a few errands for him. You can get your own coal by mining, but if you'd rather just buy it, it's sometimes for sale at Kristoff's cart. You can unlock his cart by doing quests for him and for Maui. Hope this helps and happy cooking!
Don’t forget you paid 81,675 for the pumpkin seeds which made your profit, 505,815. Still a great profit at 933 per pumpkin.
45 min cooking doesn't sound too bad for me. I can just listen to an album while doing that.
Where do i buy coal ?
I did see that and it's a great tip!
I will be always amazed how much people know even though the game just came out! thank you for the video ❤
99 at a time to buy ingredients make and sell, takes me about 10 minutes. I usually only do that many in 1 sitting, then break for other things before doing another.
Where can I buy coal please
I have heard of doing this but some people in the discord group said it's not worth the amount of money you need to spend to get all the ingredients.
couldn't you have just made the same continuing regular harvest?
I have a question about the pumpkin farm how often do you have to water them just wanting to know
Water them when you plant them, then water them again at least two hours later. So, two waterings in total.
@@ValleySpot thank you for the help
I wish they would update for bulk cooking )): or at least auto fill your previously cooked meals
Also on pc it's so much easier to macro the cooking
Auto-filling ingredients from a recipe is an option with a controller or on other platforms. I never knew it wasn't a thing on the PC!
Canola is technically the highest money maker if you're selling just crops
Hey hey i have a question. I did max 3 chars of mine to friendship 10 and as an example Vaiana gives a very cute dress. But its not in my inventory. How can i get it? (Sry i hope you understant what i want to say, english is not my best)
Hey! It should be in your wardrobe section under dresses.
All last items in friendship lines are given with last quests.
Some great tips, thank you!
If I didn't have as much crash issues as I do on my ps4, I might have done it your way. But I risk crashing every like 5th minute for no reason at all, I think I overall prefer to hand over my pumpkins raw....for the moment xD I didn't know about the pumpkins until yesterday, and I've already upgraded all the houses in town...I just need money for shopping now x)
2:57 my reacting too
I've noticed that there are a lot of Memory Pieces that can only be obtained by cooking, and I've been growing tons of pumpkins. I know it might be time consuming but could be a good way to work on completing those Memories while also turning a profit.
I just opened up pumpkins. Then my Switch said charge me. Gotta sell 50 carrots then grab more.
I cooked over 1,200…then just planted 2,200 pumpkins which sprouted over 8,000! I made almost 5 million. I think the more you plant, the better your bonus gets? ❤
My mom has got over 7 million star coins from selling pumpkins, but y'know...if you make pumpkin puffs with 3 pumpkins makes a lot more money
Pumkin soup is even more worth than the puffs. A puff is 1400 and the soup 1500. And the ingredients are cheaper too, you need a pumpkin, ginger, milk and a random vegetable
If you could the Grilled Vegtables which is just one vegetable alone you make 769 star pre
isn't the profit more like 438.440 with buying the pumpkins?
Should have made pumpkin soup. Use more pumpkins in the left over ingredient slots
Where do you buy coal
You can buy it from Kristoff's stall, but he doesn't always stock it so check back every day until he's selling it and then stock up. If you don't have access to his stall, do some quests for Kristoff and Maui and it'll happen pretty soon!
How do I get pumpkin seeds?
Forgotten land
My girlfriend made me watch tangled for the first time, cuz she likes Disney stuff I haven’t watched a Disney movie in like 9-10 years lol I guess if she wants to watch more I can cook and watch
Great workm however What this doesnt factor in is all the side quest and things you could be doing instead of cooking, personally plant sell pumpkins, quest etc. rinse repeat
But you didnt account for the cost of pumpkin seeds
The should add batch cooking.
How do we get pumpkin
Forgotten land
This isn't a bad idea. I'd probably just do half & half to avoid having to spend so much time cooking. LOL
Yeah we seriously need a bulk cooking option based on number of available ingredients.
Which location do you unlock to get pumpkins?
Forgotten Lands
You didn’t include the pumpkin seeds as investment for this dish
Eggplant is also a good idea to use 👍✨
Since I get usually over 1000+ pumpkins, this would take a lot of time.
Technically Tomatoes have a higher profit ratio to Pumpkins but you have to plant more and check on them more often. Pumpkins are less effort.
Wait really? Cuz I didn't think you had to water the maters twice but you definitely do the pumpkins.
@@thefatsuccubus You do water them twice but you plant them more often. The problem is you'd have to plant 7 tomatoes to get the same amount of coins from 1 pumpkin.
@@aliciacharline good lookin out, thanks!
I have a 2,045 pumpkin farm. That’s a lot of cooking
If they add a option to happily cook more then the same meal I happily do this but I wouldn’t do that.
with the amount of time you spent you can probably grow another batch of pumpkins and make more money.
