I keep 100 of everything like flowers, fish, veggies, jewels, etc. I have whole chests of building materials, because those can run into hundreds needed for quests. With the large chests now, I am going to two hundred on my jewels. Flowers, fish, veggies are so easy to replenish, I'm comfy with a hundred for my reserve.
You are a LEGEND for that!! I'm still struggling for stacks of 50 with certain items! 😂
@@atheenabean Hahahahaaa! I've been on since day one and kind of single-minded about it so not sure if there is any virtue in that.
To accrue my jewels, I'd go to, say ten jewels, and then sell any over that until I had ten of everything, then 20, 30, etc...that allowed me to keep the numbers fairly level while selling others for gold. Jewels were my cash cow early on, before I got some other areas unlocked for money-making...and those early jewels add up pretty fast...except for those shiny topazes! :D

I like having a lot of rooms. I have no need for 20 floors yet, but I have a kitchen with all my food and stove, a greenhouse for all my flowers, and a garage for crafting materials and the bench. No room is fully decorated yet, though. I'm taking my time.

The holes only count if they are empty, as long as they have a veggie in them they don't count.

This is exactly what I did!! 😂
Other things NOT to do:
1) Do not harvest plants without a harvest friend. You'll harvest way more with one. Same goes with the other work traits.
2) Do not feel bad if you cannot memorize food recipes. That's what the recipe book is for.
3) Only serve the characters in the restaurant when you're either completing a quest involving that or if you need to level that character. Dailies for that could pop up later.
4) Don't feel like an idiot if you have to refer to the collection tab/file on multiple occasions. Think of yourself as smart for using it in the first place. :)
5) DO NOT give all of your characters the same work trait. Even those out as much as possible so you have the same number of characters for each trait.

I currently have 15ish floors in my house? I am a decorating fanatic so I decided to do every floor decorated (half of them are just the main room) for every Disney movie that we have access to furniture. So 1 dedicated to Toy Story, Wall-E, Cinderella, etc. Also because I've been pumpkin/pumpkin puffs farming forever and well what else am I gonna do with the star coins? 🤣

I feel like its ok to set your console/pc time to a time that works best for you. I tend to only have time to play at night so I have my console set to be 1pm when really its 9pm. That way my game is set to a timeframe where 1. its daytime and 2. the characters are usually all awake
the devs themselves have said that it will break your game if you time travel, so be careful! i'm glad it's working for you for the time being!!

holes only count towards item limit if theyre empty. If they had crops in them they dont count towards your item limit. just FYI

Ok but what about upgrading the house for that initial chest storage?! It’s the only reason I’d upgrade. Basically what’s the answer to storage issues 😹 I’m only 3 or 4 days into the game! Thx for the tips!

upgrade until your house becomes the final stage from the outside! like the one thats in the trailers! you dont need to expand any more than that as you wont get more storage!
You can craft different kind of chests with the last update (not the simba one) it uses black sticks for crafting, dreamlight and something else. Very usefull
Dropping items in or out of your house is not always as cute, but its effective in a pinch or as a temporary solution. Obviously it doesn't work on things like flowers that spread out when you drop them.
Is there a video on the food forest you made. Seems like a better solution traveling to one place rather then all over the valley to certain ones
So I don't have a video on it, but I just moved all of the foragable food to the same biome to make it easier! 😊
@atheenabean how did you get all those gems and tables and them on the tables?
I keep a stock of at least 50 of everything and then any extra of food specifically, especially stuff that is foraged, I'll sell for extra cash

One of my quests with remy is glitched and I don’t think there’s no fixing it. I also spent dream shards when I first started but I’m slowly saving up again. I wanna start over but I feel like I’ve made so much progress
Oh noooo I hope it gets fixed in a future patch!
I had a glitch with Remy where he was telling me to go inside the restaurant but he wouldn't enter or be around to talk to after and it kept forgetting I had gone inside but I ended up fixing this by getting to level 2 friendship and making him hang out with me to walk him inside the restaurant and that fixed it. So there are ways around certain things! Hope it gets sorted.
Same it’s been like this for weeks and I tried many tips I found on the Internet. Nothing works! I bought the dinner table, gave it to him but the quest won’t update.

My game glitched, give me a sign quest glitched out really sucks as i cant progress in story at all
I think I have almost 700 000 dreamlight from grinding the duties all the time, a have a few million coins 🤑 And I’ve switched all the storage chests with the large ones so I have room for everything in one room

I time traveled in animal crossing and was so sad I broke DDV for 8 days before it sorted itself out. The only good thing to happen was I made a ton of money planting okra so when Scrooge was fixed I had money to spend 😂

I have upgraded my house to 20 floors (max) and all the rooms. And still have over $31,000,000. After a certain point, there is nothing else to spend money on.

Im the same. I've got a shit ton of money and nothing to spend it on.. they said there are a heap of new items comming in store I've had 2 new items since the recent update. I've seen others with alot of new items in theirs but im getting all the old stuff still that I have already brought 🙃

People keep saying not to turn dreamshards but they are soooo common so easy to come across I don’t think it matters I have hundreds of them without trying
So, when the game first came out they were MUCH harder to come by :)
There are 20 floors and you have to update the house to get the castle

Are you talking about the safes? You get them from Scrooge during a quest and then you can purchase them from him once you complete it! 😊

You don't need to fully expand the inside just the house upgrades using scrooge's sign outside

@MsVnice just trying to help, not sure if you know how to change the house but just go into edit mode outside and click the house there should them be an option to change its look and that's where you will find the castle
I’m broke in the game how the heck do you have so much dreamlight and shards?!! Every time I reach 10000 I celebrate so hard cuz it was so hard to rake up that much. I recently just unlocked frosted heights 😢I can’t even think about going for another realm right now 😂 I have like 3 realms rn. Moana, ratatouille, and lion king.
i've just been playing since release and played almost every single day for about 5 months straight. hahaha once everything is unlocked there's nothing else to use dreamlight on (besides the potion enhancers) so it just racks up really quick!

Time traveling will ruin your game can confirm, i never should have time traveled for the black turtle when i could have just got the bountiful fruit croc, now on switch items don't spawn like: fishing holes, mining areas, flowers, wood, all the resources are gone, HERE IS YA WARNING time travelers, i have re bought & moved to pc after losing my entire valley on switch, no point in losing all that hard work (i had 2 unlock spots left) for a TURTLE you have been warned (:

You get the pig from one of Moanas quests! Once you complete it, the pig shows up in your "critters" so you can change it to him!
How dis you get fairy godmother’s house?
That house is automatically placed once you unlock the Forgotten Lands!
@@atheenabeanYayy, I just unlocked Sunlit Plateau so I can get to the Forgotten Lands and farm pumpkins! Can't lie that my carrots are being good to me right now as long as I have a buddy. 😅

Well you can time travel, just move time backwards before you start the game. Then you can do what you want. Once you are done you can move time back to OG time, just don't go past your actual time and date

@@atheenabean that's what I did to get Stitch quickly. Went back 15 days, then moved forward 5 days at a time, until I was back to OG time and date.
Ehhhhh i would never reccomend time traveling in dreamlight valley. Many, many gamers have lost the entire cloud save. I have put 14 days worth of hours into this game personally, no reason to waste that on something this disproven.
My house at this point is the ground floor and the rest is just a warehouse🤣🤣

You still get wood if you remove trees? I'm sorry, I'm 4 days in . I hate the forest of Valor trees 😅 I love this game though. Found four days ago and have almost 48 hrs play time 😅
@@shayleeledevre6401only certain trees drop wood. So I wouldn’t necessarily delete all of them while you’re just starting. You’ll want to grind and hoard for a while

Selling pumpkins for a week helped me raise my bear nothing coins to 10 million almost I wanted to hog my home to be like my comic characters the main family there are a lot of kids the main girl has with her husband and first wave is 11 kids then years alter they have 10 more then even more after they have almost 30 kids whole life wise I wanted to create floors of the siblings rooms but need a lot of furniture to do so
The floors max out at 20 it is not unlimited

Uh oh… I’ve been time travelling for about a week.. if I set my time back to normal is it going to break now for definite?
It will stay broken until the real time catches up to where you time travelled to, so if you travelled exactly 1 week forward the things that break via time travel (picking plants and the like) will be broken until 1 week from now

Go into furniture mode, click on your house to pick it up and then there will be a button to replace your house skin!
Your house must be fully upgraded on the outside first. ☺️
