I bought one for travel since My laptop monitor is broke. tested it at home, great, used it out and about once, great. Tried it a 2nd time, didn't work. Anytime I connect the HDMI it says "No signal, power saving" then goes to sleep so it knows *something* is there.
Sorry for the delay! Did you try it with anything else to make sure it's the monitor? If it is the monitor RMA it and get them to replace it for sure (mines still used pretty regularly - I use two different ones).
Hi there! Thank you so much for this great review. I just received this monitor, but whenever I use it there's a slight buzzing noise unless my monitor is at 100 brightness. Did you experience this issue? Thanks for your input!!
I don't have a buzzing noise on mine (actually using it right now) but what you describe may be what's called coil whine - sometimes in larger (full sized monitors that take heavier power flow) appliances this happens. If you're powering from wall adapter try a different source and check that? Or if you simply have a USB DP out try using just that and see. It may also be a bum built in speaker and interference? Regardless, and if it persists try RMAing/returning and see if you get the same problem from a replacement.
Use the option in display on your OS to extend the monitor instead of mirror the monitor. In Windows its a display property. In Win 11 in the box where you see the two monitors there is a drop down to select 'extend these displays' from.
What settings do you recommend? I don't have a color calibration tool. What contrast, brightness, color temps for the 3 colors, etc... do you recommend using? Thanks!
Idk of anything for under $100, sorry. amzn.to/3OiJx8t this one is usually a pretty good budget gaming buy and goes on sale for the mid 600 range. An extra 8gig stick for it does wonders. (Have one as one of my laptops - would recommend for the price to performance)
Thank you for the video, I recently bought this monitor to try to use with a Steam Deck, however it automatically set the resolution to 480p and I was wondering if you’ve experienced a similar issue and if you’ve found a fix for it. I’ve reached out to their support time to no resolve.
There are some reviews on amazon that siad the volume and brightness button stoppedworking and to some devices it says it cant find a signal i wanaa buy it for a ps4 what do you suggest
As of now mine still works (I've been using it as my daily portable) but as far as sound goes - I believe PS4 supports USB speaker(s) if you just want a better experience from the built in monitor speakers. (or a headset). Like most tiny mechanical devices - use care when operating them. It's not always the case but certain 'ungentle' people tend to break more delicate things in my experience.
Yes got mine on the 2nd of Feb it's decent when i take it to work and we play madden or 2k or any fighting game I have not played online yet but will update when I do
Extending display is a windows (assuming that’s your os) feature. If the display is plugged in and powered on and did not extend - you need to go to display settings and tell it what you want it to do.

Thank you for this well-produced & straight to the meat & potatoes review.
Thanks! I hope it was helpful!
The speakers aren’t that bad. If your only using it for gaming the sound shouldn’t be a problem.

@@EightSixMatt Thanks so much for your reply! You're probably right -- I'm going to try and get a replacement and see if that will help.
Are you able to set this monitor up to be a dual monitor vs mirroring if so I'm so lost how to set it up.

It seems to be more of a steam os vs monitor issue: scroll down to sim590s response and see if that helps you.

And it does mount to wall mount / arm
Can you use it with an external battery to power it up
Only $65 now
Can I put this on a monitor arm?
Yes I got one to
Has anyone tried connecting their ps4/xbox?

I played on Xbox s with no issue
It's trash, unfortunately. I just returned mine. It powered up, but the "extend" feature did not work.

nothing wrong with how fast he's talking, lower the playback speed of the video if you can't keep up lol
