Man im not much of a mountain guy, but i would freaking love to own that castle and live in it man! Can you imagine having wild parties in those dungeons bruh!!
I would love a castle like that especially in a country like Romania when they have snow and you are warming yourself by a log fire or even visiting one of the markets that sell delicious food and drink. It would be fantastic just thinking of it, if Wales had cold weather like that it would be great. 🏴🏴
Nice to think about but when you’ll experience -30C with the dry air of Transylvania you’ll change your idea, adding tons of snow and blizzards each winter till like may ( especially by the mountains )
Yo he estado en ese castillo visitandolo y es imprecionante y muy bonito recomiendo visitar y el castillo de la reina Ana que tiene una habitacion toda hecha de oro , Rumania es muy bonita me gusto mucho .
@@Laura-tp8wz If it is really beautiful and inside much more. Decorated of the time and secret passages between walls, also around the castle there are small shops with the houses of the town. I went in winter and that day it was snowing a lot, it was incredible to see the mountain and the castle coming out of the fog and snow. I sincerely wish you that one day you can visit.
@@FernandoJuarez069 Wow! That sounds beautiful! Thank you for sharing! Do you know if Bram Stoker changed his name after Bram Castle? I am just hooked now and so fascinated!!! Greetings from the US. 😊
Bran had NOTHING to do with the real Vlad Dracula whatsoever. Bran castle is simply named Draculas cadtle because it lures tourists in. It was named Draculas castle because its the only castle that resembles the castle described in Stokers novel in the way it looks, but Vlad Dracula III's real castle is placed further up in the mountains and is a ruin. Castle Poenari in the Arges region. It can be reached by a half hour climb up stone steps across the side of the wooded mountain that is also a bear sanctuary. So for those going to Bran castle thinking the real Vlad Dracula lived there, sorry, he didnt lol.
Vlad Tepes, the cruel tyrant who gave birth to the Dracula legend. Would anyone spend a night alone in his castle? Not me. Here, in Lexington KY, there's a university called Transylvania. I think that people who want to be vampires study there. Funny
you can't actually stay there.... this entire bit was done super weird. The guy narrating also made it sound like he was actually there, but I didn't see any video of him there. The Bran castle was looted by the government before being returned to the family that it was taken from, so now it looks nothing like what it did before. Its a very disappointing tour.
So is discovery now doing "reality show" documentaries? You can't stay at the castle over night, and this guy narrating made it sound like he was actually there.... but where is the video of him there then? Just a disappointing video to see discovery make. Please don't become the history channel.

@@keithwhite5657 It's literally part of Transylvanian's history, Dracula was a real person and his real name was Vlad Dracula, Dracula in romanian means son of the devil ( in old romanian drac/ dracul meant dragon ). He was part of the order of the dragon hence the name, he was also referred as Vlad Tepes which means the impaler in Romanian... he was obviously not a vampire but was really a messed up person thirsty for blood and death hence the inspiration for the Dracula novel.

@@BillAngelos Ceaucescu's government?
@@rocioaguilera3555 No, this happened after. There was no way he was giving anything back to its rightful owners.
He stuck a few ottoman heads on spikes, so what?
I wanna go there 😛
Do you??!!🧐
1:54 that is 100% a false statement ! This castle was not intended to stop ottoman empire!!!
It was built by Germans Saxon to defend against the ottomans just like any other fortified building in Transylvania
Woooo
Magnificent 🖤
can you guys explain to me if this dracula that appeared there biting a person is real or not?
Discovery You don't even show us the castle interior. Cheaper!
I wouldn't go anywhere near those places.
Is Josh Gates getting a little hefty?
How much money would it take for you to stay there for a night... alone?
None
5000000000000
So they only do the cliche parts at the mansion.
Epic joke
I think vlad did what he had to do.
Nah bro. Torture is too much.
so you say edward cullen is real 😅

First. Vlad never lived in that castle. second this is stupid.
