I think it is made for short distance ride in the city where the small packing size and easy movement is import.

I'm returning mine but for different reasons. The size of the pole is OK for a short person, it all depends on the use. The turning angle is OK too, you're not supposed to do sharp turns on a scooter anyway, it's just not possible. The range is also OK depending on the use case. I complement my train commute and use it for the last mile.
I'm returning mine because the Air T15 is difficult to carry with one hand for a woman. I need to get it down some stairs and onto trains every day. Also the front panel rattles quite a bit so it erases the upmarket feel of the rest of the scooter. I also don't like that the stand exposes the plug, if you leave it standing under a sheltered but open bicycle rack it can get water in there.
I bought this to see if it would be a smoother ride than my bottom of the range Eco Zinc. It's not. It's also 1.5 kg heavier than the Eco Zinc so it wasn't an improvement for me, except for the nicer look, the lights and the wider platform.
I loved the wide platform, the front light and the back wrap-around break light.

Yes I got mine today, the advert makes it look not heavy to carry but my bike was a lot lighter in comparison lol

At last, an honest to goodness review. I am loving mine for months now. I live in a small but hilly city; i am 6fttall and weigh 65kls around 142lbs and sometimes i carry around 5kls or more of groceries and market stuff in my back pack and still it can carry me around town back to my place (less than 10km of usage), except for steep hilly road and so i walk it around which is good because it is lighter than my other 24kls of a 500 watt of a scooter, and i think it is doing its purpose for me.

Thanks for the review. Nice to know what you thought. Love the engineering on this thing. But as you said it definitely needs at least double the range and a more comfortable ride. If they could get all of that in about the same size package it would be one of the best scooters.

Agreed! I love the design and how nicely it folds up. If they could add a suspension and make it easier to maneuver, I would consider going back to it. BUT for now, I now have two ES2s.

Thank you for this, I think you've saved me the hassle of returning a scooter... It's such a shame that such an awesome-looking scooter is so full of issues. The folding part is the best for me, really nice to take it on the train. But the lack of suspension really kills it

Thanks for the reviews and the other people comments about small details you won't think of . It stopped me from wasting au$599, although it's appealing for the compact size and practicality .

I'm considering the T15 for its compact folded size. I'm an ex skater so I'm used to shock lol so I'm more curious of your experience w/ range & hill climb compared to your ES2.

I returned mine because the front plastic panel made noise, and I could not get it to start when climbing a bridge or a steep road; it wouldn't start. It climbs ok if you're already going but you need to kick start with your foot which I wasn't strong enough to do when in a standing position in a mild incline

Hi thanks for the review but I thinks you miss the whole point with this scooter. You have maybe 100 or more scooters to choose if you want stuff what you talking about but it is only one problem. The scooter will be bigger and heavier. So ask yourself. What do you need from the scooter ? Small to put in the car - perfect. EASY TO LIFT NO MORE THAN 10KG -perfect. You dont need more then 10 km speed because you will be riding mostly on footpath and short dystanse -perfect. Ride along someone who is walking - perfect. Taking to the public transport - perfect. So if this is most important for you you will have very difficult to find a better option.

Thanks for the review! We already own a pair of ES2's and I was about to buy an Air T15 that I found at Walmart for $199, but it doesn't sound like it's even worth that.

Thank you for the review, Elliot. It's really easy to compare, how compact is T15 near ES2. Compact scooter for lightweight compact people, for smooth ideal roads and short distances...

I purchased this to take it with me when I travel. Since I purchased the Segway I have only ridden it 10.13 miles. For the 10 miles I did ride the scooter, it was extremely rough. I was prepping for a new trip and tried to charge the scooter and it would not charge. I reached out to Segway and here is their comment,
"This is Mae from Segway Support.
I'm sorry to hear about what happened.
Based on what you've said, this type of damage is not covered by the limited warranty.
please see the attached file for the warranty manual and warranty exclusion.
Still, we can offer you a paid service, in paid service you're going to shoulder the diagnostic, shipping, and parts/repair fee.
however, we are still waiting for the resume operation of the service center, but we can put you on our waiting list to be prioritized once our service center resume on operation.
We will look forward to your response.
Thank you and have a great day!
    Mae

That sucks! Customer service is crappy pretty much anywhere though. If mine ends up going out I plan on taking it somewhere else to get it serviced. I found out uBreakIFix is close to my house and they told me they fix pretty much any electronics. My brother-in-law had a different brand go out on him. I told him to take it there. We'll see if he listens to me. Lol

@@ElliotGeno I’ll give it a shot, a scooter with less than 15 miles should be fine 😡 Wanted people to know what could happen. I’ve had other things break, out of warranty, that were not my fault and the company honored the warranty. Klipsch send me a new speaker 4 years out of warranty because the board went out on mine. They said it was a one time thing, but do you think I will ever buy a different speaker brand. Same thing with secret labs. Had an issue they sent me a new chair. I’ll sit on SL forever now. It’s just bad business, especially since I can share those experiences with thousands of potential customers,

You'd be taking it back? Where? I thought segways couldn't be returned if used.

    Is the air t15 smoother?

    • @ElliotGeno
      @ElliotGeno  3 года назад

No. The ride is rather stiff compared to the ES2. The ES2 is just way more comfortable and easy to maneuver.
