      Lol Thanks. They do stay together pretty well though out side. The thing I do need to worry about are the squirrels. Thankyou

    Those are cool.
    It’s great you made them able to be opened cleaned.
    Makes it so you can actually use them.

    They’re so detailed, I feel like they’re worth more than $65 each.
    But I can understand how that’s the most you can expect someone to pay for a bird house.

    What kind of glue are you using for outdoors? Because we made some similar with the split logs etc and they started falling apart only after a few months.

      @Birdhouselady  2 года назад +1

      I use Titebond 3 and pin nails. Some of the little things like windows I just glue on. I live in Idaho. Its cold here, and it snows. I leave most of my houses out all year, and they stay together. Titebond 3 is the best I've found

    I want to know how you made your shingles for your barn is it cedar😁

    • @Birdhouselady
      @Birdhouselady  4 года назад

      Cedar or old Redwood post. I use a big knife and a mallet. First I cut the post as long as I want the shingles then I use the knife and mallet to cut the shingles. I love making shingles.

    How long does it take you to build one?

    • @Birdhouselady
      @Birdhouselady  3 года назад

      Well it takes about 4 days. I can't stand very long on the cement so I take my time making these. If I put shingles on the houses it takes a few days longer because I need to cut each shingle.

      I cut the shingles out of a old cedar 4x4 the used Titebond 3. Its very relaxing cutting the shingles
