I am new to your channel! I also make birdhouses! Been looking for some different ideas . Yours are absolutely beautiful! Hope you don’t mind if I give a try at a couple of them! Thanks for sharing your amazing vision with us!
Wow these are great! Do you have to spray anything on them so they don't mildew? Do you draw plans or just figure it out as you go? I would love to try and make one!
Oh you should make some. It's very relaxing. I don't spray anything on the wood. I like the rustic look. I just start building and think what would I want around my barn or woodshed. I build with cedar or redwood fence boards. Also the glue I use is titebond 3. I live in Idaho where we get below 0° and above 100° with no problems with the house's staying together. If you need to ask me any questions about building I will try to help you
Thank you. Yes it has taken me a few years to get all my tools. Every birthday and Christmas I would get a new tool. Now I need a larger garage to fit everything in
What kind of glue are you using for outdoors? Because we made some similar with the split logs etc and they started falling apart only after a few months.
I use Titebond 3 and pin nails. Some of the little things like windows I just glue on. I live in Idaho. Its cold here, and it snows. I leave most of my houses out all year, and they stay together. Titebond 3 is the best I've found
@Reenie-D That's how I started. I just got out there and started building. I like to use pin nails, and the glue I use is Titebond 3. Have fun building
Hello from New Brunswick, Canada I have been thinking about making bird houses for some time now , but I couldn’t find the motivation, well you just gave me some inspiration, I luv your work , thank you for sharing your handy work
Thanks, I just rip boards down. Some pieces of wood I will use Titebond glue and a pin nail, and some I just use Titebond. I live in Eastern Idaho, and our temps get down to below zero, and in the summer, it can get well over 100. My houses stay together. I do bring the shingled houses in when it is winter
Oh my gosh! The creativity and craftsmanship of these pieces is outstanding!! I am genuinely impressed. Wow, wow, wow. I live in a camper in a parking lot currently, but if I had a place to hang one, I would absolutely love to buy one. They're all just darling!!
Well it takes about 4 days. I can't stand very long on the cement so I take my time making these. If I put shingles on the houses it takes a few days longer because I need to cut each shingle.
They’re so detailed, I feel like they’re worth more than $65 each. But I can understand how that’s the most you can expect someone to pay for a bird house.
Cedar or old Redwood post. I use a big knife and a mallet. First I cut the post as long as I want the shingles then I use the knife and mallet to cut the shingles. I love making shingles.
Your videos are amazing! If you like farming or harvesting videos, I look forward to having you visit my channel to have relaxing moments together!

Do you have an Etsy shop or something like that?
No Etey shop. I might start selling at a Farmers market.

@@Birdhouselady We have the worlds largest flea market in Canton, Tx and you would do very very well there but I'm sure your pretty far away
How long does it take you to build one?

Those are cool. It’s great you made them able to be opened cleaned. Makes it so you can actually use them.
Thankyou
