1986 Barefoot Skier / American Skier Full-Refit

Marine Custom Solutions, Inc. is located in Daytona Beach, Florida. We operate a full service repair and refit facility. A customer brought us a barn find ski boat and wanted it fully restored. This vessel required a full structural teardown of all components, mechanical and electrical alike. The vessel was completely stripped and the engine rebuilt, floors removed and replaced with Coosa board material to prevent any future rotting of the floors, carpeting replaced and positive flotation closed cell foam installed beneath the floors. All running gear was rebuilt or replaced, all the electrical components were replaced along with the wiring and modern ABYC standards were applied in the rewire of this vessel. All the upholstery was remade in line with keeping the factory finish. The exterior top side was fully sprayed with new gel coat and all the cracks and damage from decades of exposure were repaired. The hullside was sanded and buffed and the original decals were recreated and applied to the hullside and deck. The window frames were removed and refinished to the original black satin finish. The vessel was painstakingly reassembled and water tested to confirm form and function was maintained.
