NIce one! congrats! I will try the same spots next year and most definitely I'll have lunch at the same restaurant, the food looks amazing. Cheers for showing the menu! Happy travels!
Awesome! Thanks Adrian! You'll love diving here, and the Trader Jacks. The food is really good. Feel free to check out and subscribe to our channel for more Cook Islands vlogs :)
The restaurants in the CookIslands accept tips but it’s optional for the customers to tip the waiters or service if the service is good. They don’t expect tips.
Your videos are great! Love them. We just returned from Raro and Aitutaki 2 weeks ago, so a lot of the sights you posted are very familiar to me. Regarding tips... even though tips are not expected people should be tipping. Anytime you receive good service you should tip. IMO anyone that can afford to pay thousands of dollars to go to such an exotic place, can afford to leave a tip. Even if it just a few dollars. I think too many people are so cheap that they want the old tradition of "no tips" to stay around. The fact is that times have changed,. Think about it, they are not well paid, many work several different jobs to make ends meet, so any tips they get makes their days. The same goes for tour guides. IMO anyone that can afford to pay thousands of dollars to go to such an exotic place, can afford to leave a tip. Even if it just a few dollars.
Hey Danny, Thanks for the suggestion, and glad that you enjoy our vlogs! Yes, I left tips appropriately in Cook Islands, even though many folks advised me not to do it. Extra money for great service is always appreciated!
I'm watching all your video's.. As I'll be in the cook islands in 3 weeks and your vlogs are very informative. Can I ask what cameras you use.. Particularly for underwater video. Thanks.. And yes I caught into the star wars humming 😂
Above ground, I used the Sony RX 100-IV. Below the water, I used the GoPro Hero 4. So probably similar to what most people use, at least underwater. We're a few versions behind on the GoPro. Probably time to upgrade. Thank you for watching AND for the positive feedback!!! :-)
