I had 4 compressed nerves in my right leg as a complication from knee surgery. For 2.5 years I tried everything tens/nmes machine, physical therapy, muscle activation, chiropractic, cranial sacral, hellerwork, injections which all failed. I ended up having surgery to decompress the nerves that included putting them in position and inserting a protection around the nerve to prevent any further problems! This was the last shot and I am happy to say that I am slowly healing and getting my life back!

I had no choice. I had to have an ACDF at the C6-C7. Mine was a complete compression. OMG, I was MISERABLE. I only had to wear a neck brace in the recovery room and take it easy for 6-8 weeks. That was 6 years ago. :-) No problems with that one, but with the Degenerative Disc and Joint Disease I'm in some sort of pain all the time. I have a herniation at the T4, and my lumbar....well, let's not talk about that, LOL. Injections, Spinal Cord Stimulator, Traction, etc., hasn't helped. At this point, I'm just taking it a day at a time. I'm glad that has helped you, Travis!

I certainly accept what the previous commenter have written - definately not as easy than some people make out to find a natural remedy for neuropathy.
You should be aware of this and seek advice from other people. I searched round many websites and discovered a lot of great help by searching google on sites such as Gabs Neuro Guide. Good luck and hope you succeed!

shadowhead masked bandit I can relate to that no one believes you part. I had all these scans MRI, X-ray, ultrasound, and all negative so they told me it was in my head. Turns out my nerve compression doesn't show up on any standardized testing that we able to perform but through a nerve block test instead.

Dr Stork is very cute. I feel for him dealing with pain. I have bulging disc in back from falling inThe house 2012. It also causes my right upper leg to go numb and swell. Not sure if it's a pinch nerve. I've been to physical therapy about it and they did from exercises and one place did the attraction. It did help the pain for about a week then came back. I tried for neck pain I have from dystonia. It did help some but then few days later I would get dizzy and felt weird. I'm glad it's helping you Travis and hope it helps others. I also tried dry needling for awhile. It helped the pain just was sore for few days. I also been taking magnesium for pain and it helps me sleep better. My neurologist has tried about everything for pain in neck. I get sensitivity and side effects so he just has me on headache medicine now. I like going to natural stuff. What other remedies could work?

I have a lesion along my cervical spinal cord which causes me to have nerve pain running through both my arms and hands. This lesion also causes me to have stiffness within my body and weakness in my right calf muscle. I've been experiencing these symptoms for about a year and a half now. Would the cervical traction be something I can do, or would it be a bad idea due to the lesion along my cervical spinal cord ?

My only concern ran is they talk about Spinal injections like it's pure doom and such a horrific thing. I have full body CRPS type II, a degenerative neurological disorder that attacks the Sympathetic Nervous System. It's the single most painful chronic disease known to science. The only way to tackle it fully is with a multi-pronged approach. For me, that means a wide range of medications, physical therapy, biweekly Spinal injections, biweekly IV lidocaine infusions, and a Spinal Cord Stimulator. With all of that combined, I can manage to shuffle around my house, walk on forearm crutches for most excursions (though I'm starting to need my wheelchair more often again), and mostly care for myself. I live with a 7-8 out of 10 on a bad day, a good day is a 6.
Spinal injections might hurt, but most doctors offer the option of an IV medication to relax you and help with the pain. They also use a topical injection to numb the tissues with a very fine, slender needle, so when they use the latter epidural needle, you don't feel it as strongly. And trust me, the pain of my disease untreated will ALWAYS be worse than a simple injection! The injections help a lot and you'll pry them out of my cold dead hands.
