- Hello and welcome in this video I will be showing you a quick and easy way to scribe in 2 legs of architrave / trim. This is designed to be quick and accurate taken into consideration that this is price work! This 2nd fix is worth £700!! So the faster it gets done the more money I’ll make. With little tips like these I will make more money whilst providing a quality job.
We will go through the process of marking up the scribe, cutting the scribe, glueing up the scribe and fixing it when all together,
Feel free to ask me any questions or suggestions as to future videos.
Much love

Some of the products featured will be on my Amazon storefront so go over and take a look.

Nicely done, but who were the plasterers that left it like that in a new build!?
Very valid point, actually the plastering is pretty decent for the most part 🙈🤣
Looks like the nibs + door liner were narrower than the arc so even if the walls were spot on it would have still needed a scribe. Nice work Dave,
@@gavincollins9376 cheers pal. New builds try to cram as much as possible and never think of how the arcs will fit etc
Nice👍
Thanks
Hi Dave, can I ask you with your methods and the process of how you do things how do you remember the techniques?. Do you write it down or do you simply rely on your memory, as you can be doing roofs for months and then have to fit a stair case. Do you take notes or read books? Or is it simply learning from experience and making mistakes and then just relying on your memory to repeat the techniques that work. As you seem very competent in different aspects of carpentry and spray painting. Thanks
Thanks for the comment, I suppose it comes down to a combination of things. I do rely heavily on my memory but it’s like anything once you knock the rust of it it comes back pretty quickly.
I have also established a network of fellow carpenters in all aspects and lean on them when a problem presents itself. That is key.
Lastly, I’m passionate about all aspects of carpentry I love researching I love the challenges that it throws at your feet. Part of the reason I have done this channel is to hopefully enable someone to take something from it. Sounds cheesy but ultimately to give back. Hope that makes Sense
Dave
How do you know what size to cut the block?
It’s the same size as the skirting
You find the table saw light weight enough to carry around? Just thinking of getting one
It’s easy enough to carry yes. Wouldn’t say it was overly lightweight but eAsy enough to carry
@@dave_the_carpenter_ nice one make going to the dewalt outlet at the weekend to pick on up
