Here's a way to make old roses return. Right-click a rose bush with shears to pluck one off. Said rose could be placed in pots. Same would apply to its brother in bushhood.
that would be a cool feature. wonder if the same could apply to peonies

If they plan to add more paintings in the future, it would be great if they could implement a feature that allows you to use a loom to select a specific painting, eliminating the need to cycle through all the options to find the one you want.
This would’ve been perfect for 1.20
How would that work? Paintings have sizes determined by amount of space. Maybe just by holding the loom in your hand and interacting with the painting?
@@glowerworm no you put a basic panting in the loom or any block that makes sense, and you can click on a painting you want, THEN when using the painting it only works if there's space for it, and it will tell you how big it needs to be in the item description/name/etc
@@glowerworm paintings in creative mode nowdays are divided by the name, size, and artist in the tooltip. We could do the same with loom
Not to be buzz kill but those would be tapestries. I'm fine if Mojang change the word paintings to tapestries if they want to add a feature where you could use a loom to weave the painting/tapestry. Or if they want to keep the name painting, they could add an isle.

@@rifter4478 pack.png is the image previously used for the default resource pack. It’s one of the most well-known images in Java Edition alongside the original title screen panorama, and the pack.png project finally found the seed it came from in September 2020

I can’t believe I complained about the lack of paintings last week only for it to happen. Hopefully they keep adding at least 1 new painting every major update.

I wish they would add new painting sizes like 3x3, 5x5, 3x2, etc.
I love how classic the new paintings are. Specifically Pack.png.
If only Calcite got it's own building block set. It would have been grate for the Trial Chambers to have some Calcite variation. And that "The Whole Pack" Achievement should be renamed to "The Wolf Pack".
The achievement "The Whole Pack" is a bit of a play on words lmao, whereas "The Wolf Pack" is very forward and, as politely as I can say, a bit uninteresting. They don't always do it, but it's usually Minecraft's thing to make achievements' name playful and/ or clever, yk?

@nevascalange3091 There are free add-ons made by the community, which are free and much better than the paid versions in the marketplace.
I honestly hope they add more in these small updates. Maybe I'm in the minority but I like having small amounts of features regularly instead of giant updates once a year.

I accidentally discovered that on some level the Jigsaw block does work (on some level) on bedrock as the new structure uses it.

What pool name you enter in jigsaw Block ?

@@rexyht2697 No worries, Now I knew it. We have to just enter the file path in game files. You got this content file message because there is no file path named Trial_Chamber/chambers/end but they are end2 and end1.

Its crazy how this started as another random update that was going to be terrible, but ended up being the best updates in years

Chemistry items in creative is actually huge. There are so many cool items (see: balloons) that are currently so time-consuming to get in creative mode.

I'm also happy because I have a world where I'm collecting every single item and it's variants. I'm currently waiting for 1.21 to relase so that I can continue my collection.

The new ones feel like basic paintings for decoration rather than abstract randomness. I like both new and old ones, but i don't like the inconsistency. Maybe they should somehow be separated

They're not exclusive, they're going to be in java too. The tweet they were announced in literally said "coming soon to Java snapshot".

I wish paintings were distributed as loot like music discs. Yes it would further clog up the inventory but it's an easy to implement exploration reward that gives the player bragging rights.

I have a question that may be good for qna. I’m not sure if you’ve answered or clarified this before but I understand maps corrupt world saves. But is it having maps on item frames or just having a lot of maps even in chests not being displayed what corrupts the save?

That wolf advancement is going to take a while
I'm pretty upset they're making new paintings less ambiguous, the beauty of the original paintings was that you didn't know exactly what they were portraying, and your mind could make sense of in an a more unique way than the next person.
Ehh it's fine. They look like it close enough. Even the horse one looks like the wither, meaning they are the two worst paintings. I mean there's stuff like the skeleton and guy and link and ninjas and pig painting you can easily see what's happening
That’s a pretty fair point. However, if you actually look back at most of the paintings, pretty much every painting has at least one solid detain you can make out as something, like the three skeletons or the donkey Kong stage. All of the abstract paintings are in the 1x1 and 1x2 blocks range

im glad they're adding new paintings, but these ones just don't quite do it for me. feels like they lack the creativity and surrealism that made the other ones so special.
This is the best update compared to the last 4, don't get me wrong, the caves and cliffs were great but they were split into 4 different updates. And then after Mojang messed that up, they sort of lost the momentum and didn't really know what they were doing. The mangrove and the bamboo thing are not that popular, so it feels great to see that things are getting better

The paintings will probably be coming to the next Java snapshot.
I hope, i dont see much of a reason to make more differences between the two.

If you ask me bad omen being changed to a potion you drink to get the effect is a little unnecessary. Could just have made it so when you get it the effect you can choose to use it for a raid on a village or a trial chamber. (I understand that it was made into an item you drink to get the effect in case you come across a village on the way to a trial chamber or vice versa, but it just feels weird for it to be a choice to have the effect)
As for the new paintings, they look too detailed and out of place compared to the old ones. But they’re great otherwise

Are there not other Minecrafters, that did not get upset, by the fact that rose switched places with poppy flowers and came back as a whole bush. That's usually how roses grow.
Poppy flowers however, do just grow out of the ground, like you might see a dandelion do.
The poppy flowers make more sense to me. And roses did at least come back.

I’m on ps5 and can’t get the update even with 1.21 experiments turned on. I checked for updates, said I have the most updated version. The 1.21 version I have only has wolf armour and chambers, no mace or ominous potions etc

For all Mojang talks about parity between versions, there's a umber of things Java doesn't have. Didn't even know there was a chemical creator until checking the wiki. Education Edition!
That's for the old stuff that already happened. They want to have parity with all the new stuff they add in updates
Did they ever say you can craft the potion of bad omen or is it only found in chest? Also does that mean if you kill a pillager captain you no longer get that effect?

You get them from killing a pillager patrol captain or from a regular trial vault

Wouldn’t the players who would come back for the smaller update come back for the bigger update anyway? In which case, wouldn’t it blow them away more if the update had all of this content rather than divided portions of it? Splitting it in two just makes both updates objectively less impressive.
Yeah but you get to come back multiple times for less instead of once for more. You can choose to not come back for the minor updates and only for major ones so you can experience more new stuff at once
