Been in the pool business for over 11 years servicing pools.( Commercial and residential). I was basically a salaried employee the whole time untill recently. I have opened my own bussiness and am currently subcontracting. Thanks for this vid, gonna give some of the things you said a try. I want to start getting more of my own pools and not have to give a percentage to another company. I want 100% the money for my work.
I want to start up a pool cleaning business. I'm trying to find the training and that seems to be difficult to find. Would you recommend simply working for a pool cleaning company and getting training that way?
Most are always looking. Apply online. Then visit them in person 2-3 days later. Or just go on in. Be ready to suffer and have thick skin. Study online. Understand the plumping and the chemistry. Within 2-6 months you can at least have a solid foundation for cleaning and maintenance. repairs depending on previous experience and mechanical inclination. that can be 6 months to 2 years. Nice thing is, if your personal expenses aren’t to high. you don’t need a lot of customers when self employed. Please make sure you don’t live off your gross income. Put money aside to pay your taxes end of year. 15-20%
It should be in the building part of the counties site. You can also go down there and request it. Some municipalities ask you to pay for it and others don’t.
Yea I'm still here. I formed a second company with a couple of partners that builds and renovates pools so that has been taking a lot of time working through. I'm hoping to ramp up more videos this year.
@@ChlorineKingPoolService do you advertise to pools who currently have a pool man? I'm in the beginning process of building a route, no accounts yet, im in Los Angeles, thanks in advance
If you use real estate software like batchleads you can pull a list of all the homes with pools in the zip code, skip trace there cellphone numbers then text blast them.
I feel like that’s too pushy, If I have random pool companies texting my number out of the blue offering service I wouldn’t think much of it but that’s just me
Hey I just wanted to let yall know that we can bring in more customers for pool services for your business. We are already working with a client who has been quite disappointing so we want someone new to work with. We don't charge upfront. You can try out our services before committing or spending a single penny. But we have certain criteria: - You need to be located in Orlando - You need to have a medium size business - You have to provide good services to the clients we send you - The prices of your services should be reasonable. If you think you fit into these criteria, please comment here. Thank you.
@@ChlorineKingPoolService That's a bummer. Maybe someone will come across this comment who is from Orlando. We are just bummed out by a client who is holding out our payment for 3 months. We sent him like 20 - 30 clients per month for the last 5 months. Maybe someone who fits our criteria will come across this and we both could help each other out.
I remember back in around 2011 being one of the first companies in my area to use Google adwords man that pulled in a whole bunch of new customers nowadays it’s hard to compete against all of the franchise companies.
Exactly. A lot of people don't put in the effort to position themselves organically so you don't have to sink money into a saturated google Adwords market.
Very surprised you never recommended, nor even mentioned just going out there and knocking on doors. Try to win people over in the moment with your face, personality, and fully-stocked truck
You can definitely do that, it's just there are more effective ways to do so. I tried that, brought my Taylor kit for free tests, and the conversion rate was very minimal. I quickly stopped doing that.
How can I get started with getting my brand on google? What do I need to start a website? (for a first-time user, and first-time business owner) a little background info: I’m about 6 months into this industry, and have left the comfortable checks from my best local pool service, and have gone completely freelance. Let me know some detailed instructions whenever you’re available; you sound like a busy individual.

That's the way to do it. When you work 100% for yourself you'll reap all of the rewards for the work you do!

Me too. I don't know where to look for to get trained!

Yes work for a pool company for at least 6 months, that’s what did and now have 20 accounts in a few months
How do you find the homes that were sold on the past month? Tried to find on the county’s website but couldn’t find it

Hey boss man do you use test strips or Taylor test kit ?
I always use the Taylor kit. It's what the DOH uses so that's what we use.
Are you still grinding it out in the pool service biz?
Yea I'm still here. I formed a second company with a couple of partners that builds and renovates pools so that has been taking a lot of time working through. I'm hoping to ramp up more videos this year.

Want to start the business what will be the way to start
Establish a business name, logo, website, file with state for starters.
Your business logo is pretty brilliant tbh
When your on google earth look for the green pools.
I've actually done that and sometimes when I go to the house the pool has been cleaned up lol
