Hello I have a question. Apart from the blocked account, I know there's another option of getting a citizen to sign agree to sponsor you. Have you heard of that, do you have any information on that as well or do you know of someone who has done that. What would be the process incase one wants to use that route. Yes that’s option is called the obligatory letter or Verpflichtungelarung. So you if you have any family firms or family in Germany they can be your sponsor. They have to go to the the immigration office in the city and request for this

No they don’t offer that, actually you don’t even need money to get a new SIM card you can order SIM card like lebara which is free and with current account online banks like opening of all current accounts are free of charge as well. Online banks like n26 are easy to set up, also there is spakasse which is a physical bank usually on campus. Other banks like deutche, commerz bank are good as well and they all have student packages
