Personally I was given a job from Nigeria. I am a trained Social Worker from Nigeria and I got the job which allows me to came to Germany with my wife and children. I will advice our graduates to search for jobs that are in high demands. There more jobs opportunities in Germany. But I will advice people to enroll in Language course, and actually this is not a legal requirement.

All the examples given were biased towards school and language. I say so because I know people who relocated here with the job seeker visa which is similar with the opportunity card. They don't speak German and are high flying in their careers (across domains such as tech, law). Some have grown into leadership positions and are doing well by any metric used to measure success in Germany. Also there are people who are vast in the language, studied here and are still in search of a job. It would have been beneficial to your audience to give pros and cons of each visa type and let people decide for themselves what works for them as everyone's situation is different. Just my two cents ✌️

I got the opportunity card. While i agree with most of what you said, I think you got a few facts wrong with the Chancenkarte requirements. For now i would not speak much but I'll get in there, experience it for myself, and hopefully have an interview with you on the matter 🙂

The problem is getting a university position. I have tried applying for masters in IT in Germany but its so difficult to get a chance. I have Second class upper division from best uni in Kenya and C1 goethe certificate. I think opportunity card could be more easier.

Clearly... these guys didn't do their home work concerning the Opportunity card before this video. They seem to have more information concerning being a student. You need to bring someone without a student background.

Maximum time you're given to complete your masters is generally 8 semesters ~ 4 years and not 10 years as mentioned by one of the presenters (cf time 11:47) . Generally this maximum duration is always stated in the Studien- und Prüfungsordnungen for each Uni.. There can be exceptional cases, but I doubt if any Uni will allow you to do a 2 year Msc Program in 10 years.
