i started playing Elite maybe 8 months ago because i was looking for some relaxing space game. Didn't know anything about the Thargoids and the unique journey ahead of me. Big Thumbs up and assured sub
Wow.... At first I was like "these connections definitely seem like a stretch", but by the end I was thinking this cannot be a coincidence. Really fascinating stuff, for sure! If Raxxla is some sort of gateway or teleporter, I suppose the Dark Wheel could be... anywhere, if they control it. It also makes you wonder why Jaques Station happened to break down in Colonia in particular.
the Dark Wheel could have relocated the station to Colonia when it was established. They also could have named the System Carcosa as all the systems were previously unnamed. It is already suggested that Raxxla (it being some kind of teleporter) can actually relocate itself and is not in a fixed position.
We can't rule out other possibilities, as always. From what we know the "misjump" (what ever you may call it) seems to be a result of malfunction by corrosive thargoid artifacts (Thargoid sensors in this case), maybe even a hyperdiction. The station was damaged and needed meta alloys for the repairs. Jaques: "As for what happened, well...I guess it was a little ambitious to try to jump all the way to Beagle Point. As soon as I entered witch-space, it was clear something was up with the drive engines. And the navigation system. And the power distributor." Also we may not forget that "The Hands of the Architects" (is that a player group or just a lore thing?) tried to sabotage the station prior to the jump to force a misjump and find the mysterious "Architects" (Halsey storyline). To conclude: It definitely was a sabotage. Probably by the players who were messing around with the thargoid probes at that time and sabotaged the crap out of every popular station. At least there is no apparent connection to the Dark Wheel and no clues either I can see at the moment.
To futher add: Solving Jaques Mystery forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/solving-the-jaques-mystery.276967/#post4288468 Post in the Raxxla Thread by Jorki Rasalas forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/the-quest-to-find-raxxla.168253/page-192 Could not find much about "The Hands of the Architects". They seem not to be a player group. So a connection to TDW may be possible. TDW are treasure hunters and mystery seekers after all. They couldn't miss the opportunity when a self-sufficient station jumps to sabotage it so it might misjump to "The Architects" (which may be connected with the Raxxla mystery after all.)
YO! The faction at Carcosa is "The nameless" , HP lovecraft wrote a book called the nameless city. There is real lovecraft link to that system for sure, and the devs had it well in mind.
It's a nice theory, but we also need to consider why this would be the case in-universe. Carcosa is only named as such because Jaques misjumped and ended up near it, in what is now Colonia. For Carcosa to be the location of the Dark Wheel, a lot of assumptions need to be made. We need to assume that the Dark Wheel somehow orchestrated the misjump, despite all evidence saying that it was sheer chance he ended up where he did. And also, we need to assume that the Dark Wheel would want to have the system named Carcosa as a "clue" - and I'm not convinced that name is anything but a coincidence.
Its also possible the Dark Wheel simply took advantage of situation (rather than being responsible for the misjump) just so they could move their station farther away from the bubble. Its also also possible they were the ones who gave Jacque the idea for the jump in the first place.
Got a recommendation for the channel and I love this kind of stuff! I personally don't have the foresight to do this kind of stuff and amazes me the ppl that do! So hats off to you man you got a sub out of me look forward to future content. o7
Any thoughts on specific dates and the location of Orions Belt during those dates? Perhaps it forms an actual X marks the spot? We have the Pyramids of Giza as a reference point to start with. What other important/relevant dates do we have? We know the Raxxla myth predates Tau Ceti, 2151; the Mars artifact, 2280 could be significant. The Osiris/Isis (Orion/Sirius) legend also seems significant. The ideas around birth-death-rebirth (cycle/circle/wheel/gate/paradox). It might be worth looking at Egyptian astronomy and how the Constellation(s) align on certain dates. If the Sphinx is Leo and the Nile, the Milkyway, we have more waypoints. Possibly only stars visible by the naked from other are relevant too. Anyway, it is interesting to think about and discuss. You can find me in game, Cmdr Jhaelen Von Bek.
I don't know much on the subject but from what I heard on Gal net and on this video I'd say you've got a great sound theory going. I'm really good at figuring out things, I'd say you've hit gold
07 Guru, your video and the request at the end really peaked my interest. And sparked an idea. Has anyone tried anything yet? I would like to try some ideas out this weekend. -CMDR Luvenstein
I kinda think that the Thargoids come from raxxla. In the codex it says that they might have come from another galaxy. One of the theories about Raxxla is that it’s an intergalactic gate. That could explain why thargoids exist near colonia. Maybe it’s where they entered into the Milky Way.
In Frontier First Encounters, the Thargoid homeworld was a system called 'Miacke'. This system doesn't exist in Elite Dangerous, and didn't exist in the original game either. So I'm not sure that Raxxla is linked to where the Thargoids come from.
I think we should take dozens of ships and go orbit that moon to see if we can accidently bump into it. We did find that coded message recently that 'just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it's not there' so if there's a low power or no-signsl station. Maybe it's there and has collisions to kick us out of supercruise but doesn't have a detectable signal and we could just have a couple hundred pilots orbit it for a while and try to collide with it. ? I think (if found) Raxxla is likely going to be some doorway into Col-70, and when we open it impactful game changing things may come out. I also was thinking the riddle in the codex may be some instruction on how to set a specific approach to sag A black hole to pass through it by lining up from source B a certain way. If you listen to some other commanders interpretation of the riddle it's definitely referring to Sag A as the mother eating up all it's baby stars and becoming remorseful. The jewel being source 2 so maybe that makes sense.
Fascinating. Possibly Thargoid tech might help - or perhaps guardian tech - the fact that Felicity Farseer is quoted in the codex (a prominent engineer being that she's the first one most players encounter) might her modifications to sensors be a help? I know for a fact there are times I jump into a system, honk and don't see everything in that system. But my sensors are slightly engineered ones not massively engineered. Thinking.
Iirc, sensors affect the distance which you can see while out of supercruise, but not much else (that we know of). It's a good thought though and id imagine it wouldnt hurt to try.
I'm sitting in Carcosa this very moment. It's my home system and I'm waiting for the FC update debacle to get sorted. Maybe I should go poke around the system and see if if there's anything out of the ordinary.
I don’t remember when but one of the Frontier Devs mentioned that someone has honked in the system Raxxla is in but then jumped out. It has been touched.
Also the fact that Colonia has its own codex entry at all. It was a CG event with some minor lore happenings. What's it's lore significance today? Other then the type9 that's crashed there by the Black Flight.

We must put our minds together to find Raxxla. We can't be keeping information and experiences from each other. It is simply impossible to find something in this vast galaxy with one person.
When you first start elite dangerous you venture out to sol once you gain the permit, fly to Hutton orbital and buy a mug, take the mug to felicity farseer and when you Dock look out of your left window and on the wall outside you see the coordinates for raxla on the wall.. You may have to record this video capture so you can pause it to write them down, it's on the wall as the ship is being lowered into the bay. They only show up on the wall when you Dock with the mug in your cargo hold.. If you don't have the mug from Hutton orbital you will never find raxla. Once you write down the coordinates you need to go onto Google maps, this takes you to an ariel shot of someone's house (I suspect braben's) and on that roof is the name of a system you need to fly too. Raxla coordinates are written in the stars viewable from the first moon orbiting the second Sun. You have to wait until 12pm for the orbit to align.. Write these down and put them into your galaxy map, journey is then a 200 jump neutron highway journey to raxla. When you get there be prepared for an amazing unlock in the game. You get rewarded with 1 trillion credits, your very own thargoid ship fully equipped, (very strange cockpit).. You also have access to instant system jumps no matter how far. It really is that Simple
I want to know why there is an engineer out in the witch head that is just a copy of Palin? If you can get to witch head you don’t need an engineer. Is it just for the small anti-corrosion hold? Is that where we are supposed to fit the thargoid modules? 4 types of thargoid module have been found and there are 4 thargoid data packets on planet bases. I think there is more to the map room than a light show.
She's out there because there is a strong possibility when Fdev starts ED's lore up again, Palin will "mysteriously disappear/dies" and CMDRs will need someone to give out Grade 5 DDs.
i just stumbled across this video and considering that there is something going on in colonia with thargoid research delivery stuff this is becoming quite the strong theory...
There is no Raxxla, currently, in the game. It was, but was taken off, alongside the Elite/Founders missions, when Michael Brookes left E: D. (was put aside?). Imho.
And what happened to your passenger mission? What is the next video I should see? Also, were you already allied with the nameless? Were you already elite and dangerous? Tip off missions?
It's not Thuban from memory, the binary ancient Egyptian Pole Star which Nasa recently released more data on regarding the star that during precession becomes the North Star and is well documented in Ancient Egyptian Mythology and Pyramid design. Had a little frameshift jog to there and nothing unusual to report so tick that off. It is very very important in Egyptian Archaeology as it was the North Star to the ancients.
Currently investigating the Bramboo system. Console players, do exploring, buy a carrier and be your own exploring Supertanker. Just watched your Guardian structure finders guide. Keeping everything in mind when finding brand new systems, got about 1000+ bagged at the moment, about 3000 new stars, 200 neutron stars to help the players on the superhighway and enjoying not being involved with Odyssey. Enjoying Horizons to the full.
Hello CMDRGURU! Do you think the crashed Type 9 in Colonia (the one downed by the Black Flight) has anything to do with this theory? Assuming this theory has more teeth to it then we are currently aware of.
Hmm thats interesting. I am in Carcosa right now. I have here my FC with thargoid probes and senzors. Maybe I could do few experiments around 8th moon.
@@CMDRGURU951 Correct. But for me personally - FDev have not flicked on the magic switch for Raxxla, and that it is NOT discoverable in the game, simply because FDev don't know how to incorporate it in with any game play, because anything other than something mind bending, will be a huge let down for a lot of people in the game. In relation to LFT 509, it could be a location for the Dark Wheel easily, as it has an active economy, but zero population. The theory around that system is spot on, and is close to Sol. But again - for me, I simply don't think that Fdev have made TDW / Raxxla discoverable yet. All Michael Brooks alluded to, was that "it's in the Milky Way". And that's it. Coupled with Fdev's track record on lack of content, I honestly believe that they haven't incorporated it into the game. But the mystery of it keeps us all looking. But unfortunately looking for something that isn't actually there...
"Encumbered forever by desire and ambition There's a hunger still unsatisfied Our weary eyes still stray to the horizon Though down this road we've been so many times" I was wondering if anyone caught the track. Good ears, Cmdr.
I believe it was a blueprint on how to use the unknown probe as a gps type device for finding new goid sites. Not sure if it was fully cracked, but I do know that it revealed that much.
I watched some videos on this. I have the impression it could be just about anywhere and nobody seems to know exactly what they are talking about. So i concluded i'm just gonna keep jumping to random systems off the beaten path. What more could i do? I think finding Raxxla is more like hitting the Jackpot in the Lottery.
It's the world's oldest video game mystery. It's mostly just rumor, but it's most believe it to be a portal, and the developers stated that "it" exists. You can find it within your ships Codex (Ships right panel), under the Knowledge Base tab.
There was a time where governments carried our neferious items that the general public would find appaling. They managed it by stating the phrase, "For God and Country". Govenements today are still carring out neferious acts, however they now do it to the phrase, "In the interest of National Security". It's a process that has been going on since humans first gathered as a collective and formulated groups. It's no wonder, that they would still be doing in in the era that ED takes place.
@@CMDRGURU951 The permit will never be granted, because Raxxla is not in the game. It's just a piece of Lore to keep us guessing. The problem is with Raxxla, is that anything other than a portal to another galaxy / universe (which won't exist seeing as Frontier are inept at decent content creation within the game) or access to invincible shields / weaponry where all Thargoids can be destroyed with one shot (for example) - it will just be a massive let down for the player base. Raxxla has been so hyped up for years and years, that anything other than something simply mind-blowing, will just the biggest anti climax in the history of Elite. Which leaves only one possible explanation - it doesn't exist, and knowing Frontier - it probably never has been in the game. It has all been a ruse to keep players interested in the game. In terms of Lore - the LFT 509 explanation - explained here - ruclips.net/video/k1jzYld9uHg/видео.html - is the closest thing I've seen to a reasonable explanation of the Dark Wheel location. A system with a gas giant, 8 moons, ZERO POPULATION, but an active economy. And it's within the bubble - that fits the lore. The fact that LFT 509 is hidden behind a permit lock that will never be granted also adds to the evidence that Frontier simply don't have Raxxla in the game - because they simply don't know what to create FOR Raxxla, because whatever they do potentially create, will all fall short of the player base expectations, or will be something that they can't grant to all cmdr's. A massive shame seeing as Raxxla is the biggest mystery in Elite, and Elite Dangerous as a game, is probably in the last stages of it's life in 2024...
@@CMDRGURU951 The comment was intended to bring a "quick resolution" and on top of that a sprinkle of unfounded self-righteousness towards a topic that was intentionally designed to be perpetually shrouded in mystery. It was satirical in nature, because the raxxla mystery is actually never meant to be solved -- it would even result counterproductive for the lore and so even the game.
@@egnappahz Sarcasm rarely comes through over the net, especially in such a short verse of words, and even more so way up here on my proverbial high horse.
Sorry, that is not the closest cluster. There is another one much closer near that one base that sells everything for li discounts everyone goes too. It has a bunch of stars in it and is in the bubble. It's very bright in that area. it's has interesting stars in it too. I forget what it is called. There are also some space weiners closer than that just above and just outside the bubble that are closer than plaeides. Look within if you want the closest. There might be closer than that. i just stumbled across this video and considering that there is something going on in colonia with thargoid research delivery stuff this is becoming quite the strong theory...
Fingers crossed. Crossed as hard as I can cross them.
There is no Raxxla, currently, in the game. It was, but was taken off, alongside the Elite/Founders missions, when Michael Brookes left E: D. (was put aside?). Imho.
Luckily I just search for the sake of searching and seeing just what, if anything, can be found.
I was near a strange cluster the other week didn't take note were I was but the cluster was a perfect arrow pointing to a nebula but
And what happened to your passenger mission? What is the next video I should see?
Also, were you already allied with the nameless? Were you already elite and dangerous? Tip off missions?
Guardian Thargoid hybrid relics exist now...
What if by 'mother' they mean Safe A star because it was the birthplace of all of the stars though? What open cluster is closest to Sag A?
Enjoying Horizons to the full.
i need to start wearing condoms on my ears
great video again, you make the galaxy...spicy
That's ah spicy meatball!
Hello CMDRGURU! Do you think the crashed Type 9 in Colonia (the one downed by the Black Flight) has anything to do with this theory? Assuming this theory has more teeth to it then we are currently aware of.
Great question. Yes I do!
Hmm thats interesting. I am in Carcosa right now. I have here my FC with thargoid probes and senzors. Maybe I could do few experiments around 8th moon.
That'd be rad. Best of luck.
Strong as always!!!
Hanging tough! Yeah bud!
So ya thought ya
Might like to go to the show?

Now this is good
As is the comment. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Lft 509 holds what ye seek
Havent FDev stated very clearly that the LFT 509 permit cannot be acquired?
High Hopes - very good 😂👌

I was wondering if anyone caught the track. Good ears, Cmdr.
Has the Thargoid base spectrogram ever been fully deciphered?
nope.
I believe it was a blueprint on how to use the unknown probe as a gps type device for finding new goid sites. Not sure if it was fully cracked, but I do know that it revealed that much.

@@CMDRGURU951 If I'm not mistaken only one of the systems (Merope) has been identified. The other one remains a mystery.
nice one.
Im glad you enjoyed it!
*These vids are facinating* Thx ;) ~Cmdr Spacetime~
I am on my way to Colonia for the first time. I will set time aside for this...
Oh hell yes. Best of luck.
Dude! Where you been? CMDR Anasyn
Sup dude! Ive been around, all over the place really, but around. Sup with you?
@@CMDRGURU951 I've been around too, I heard you started up with the IRHs. I talked to a few people recently just to see how you were doing.
Watching now, sorry I was working :(
I watched some videos on this. I have the impression it could be just about anywhere and nobody seems to know exactly what they are talking about. So i concluded i'm just gonna keep jumping to random systems off the beaten path. What more could i do? I think finding Raxxla is more like hitting the Jackpot in the Lottery.
Pure luck! it just might work!
Sorry im quite new who or what is raxxla ?
It really is no wonder.
Let me help you with a clue .....8 moons and a gas giant WHERE COULD IT BE .........LFT 509
How about that part about the official statement that the permit will never be granted? Is that not gonna deter your thinking on it?
That's because devs aren't going to make real content out of it ever.@@CMDRGURU951
I KNEW IT
What did ya know?
@@CMDRGURU951 The comment was intended to bring a "quick resolution" and on top of that a sprinkle of unfounded self-righteousness towards a topic that was intentionally designed to be perpetually shrouded in mystery.
It was satirical in nature, because the raxxla mystery is actually never meant to be solved -- it would even result counterproductive for the lore and so even the game.

The first cluster is near Kastushi ...spelling my be off
Katuchi? Reasoning behind that?
No way could this all be coincidence
Thank you!
7 hours ????
Noooooo

@@thefacelessone74 I think not.
I think there are, but I can't remember what they are.
Did he do the quest yet?
Found the cluster. 78 theta 2 tauri and 77 theta 1 tauri are in the middle of the cluster. It's a bit to the side of diaguandri or didgeridoo as I like to refer to it as. No idea if it's related to anything, but it's got some interesting stuff in it including a few satelites I believe.
Or is that the one you were refering too.. it has a red dwarf station there now. Red Dwarf QNJ-THN
Ok, that is what you were refering too. And it has a station in it now.
Has anyone pinpointed the landscape signal
No.
What's the point to hide something in the game and leave no clues as they say. Many of us are just fed up of this. Just a game that never was.
