It's what drawn me into exploration, actually. I wouldn't be surprise if they are more of these things out there, the one FDev put it in since the earlier days, that just hiding in the farthest corner of the Milky Way, where no players has ever visited yet, and it still sitting there, quietly, waiting for a random commander to discover it. Then again, if that is the case, some data miner might have already found it in the game file and ruined all the surprised.
except for what can you actually do with them? I want to science them! gimme sciencing tools already! I want to be the one filling out the stuff that goes into the information menu's and the data gets more and more refined as more and more cmdrs analyze it. When i scan a planet i dont wanna just shoot some drones at them and poof all the info ever appears... No, i want to look at reading and gauges and estimate from experience how big the planet is, what the gravity is, what atmosphere it has, orbits, durations, etc, etc.... That, imo, would make exploration fun and gives a good reason for other cmdrs to scan already scanned planets etcetc... its not just finders keepers, everybody works together to make the best set of data!
Personally, I think the Thargoids bioengineer their ships, etc., based on organics that they have found. Bark mounds became barnacles, anemones became the central core section of interceptors, pods became scouts, etc. It makes their habit of collecting occupied escape pods even more worrying.
this was probably one of you best videos in my opinion. Maybe it's because I haven't explored outside the bubble or beyond the Maia system so this is all new to me. It does make me want to build an explorer ship and venture outside the bubble. Especially since the big update isn't due for over a year. Still great work on this one man ;)
"Defence from your own species doesnt make much sense" Oh rly? do you know humans per chance? Or maybe the Black widow if you wanna focus on animal life? :)

Use the codex, select a region of the galaxy. Select biological items and look for player reports of these things. The systems that contain them are selectable as destinations to investigate yourself, plus you're confirming them for the players who've initially reported them.
Fantastic video and a massive big thank you from all the explorers out there for creating something that shows everyone that being a explorer is not as boring as people think it is. Plus there are other things to search for out in the big black but I'll leave that for another time eh @yamiks . (Hint : the dark wheel)
6:18 It’s so called Phototaxis - movement to the light. Our plants have it, for ex (they grow to the window’s direction), so those things definitely have primitive (or not…) censoric system, witch connects us to the nervous system, witch means they can have their own analogue of brains, and because of that they can _think…_
Thank you for showing that there is life outside the bubble and worth the travel time to check them all out. Elite dangerous has so much but unfortunately alot of cmdrs never leave the bubble. Keep up the great work and look forward to many more videos! Your hardwork does not go unnoticed.👍👍 See you in the black! Stay safe cmdr.

Interesting, I've been away from Elite for some time so its nice to see whats new out there, also I liked the Stranger Things themed intro music, very fitting for this subject.

lol was that opening system NGC 457 Sector ERU, I'm currently landed on the planet in your opening that is orbiting the Y dwarf with a massive ring formation around it. Holy smokes it is, watched a few more seconds in. Small world, and hi from the surface
Like, 90% of the shit in this video spiked my fight-or-flight and gave light anxiety. I love it! Fdev, I have little faith in you at this point, but please more of these beautiful space nightmares!
The pods are fish, the Thargoids are sharks. Not to say they eat the pods, but rather that they are a larger, more mobile species of pods. The best part of this is that is suggests the thargoid homework everyone is looking for doesn't exist, because they were never planetside life.
This makes me REALLY want to be the first to visit all those currently unreachable systems, that will be reachable once fleet carriers release, like system CD-37 10033.
Of all my exploration, I have only accidentally stumbled across one. So it's a cool showcase, but I'm guessing I need to know the location before hand, like he said in the beginning.
Yamiks, consider this: Thargoids use bioengineering to make their ships, meaning they basically make a creature they can pilot through space. Why not use some of these already space-faring creatures as baselines? Thargoids using these life forms to develop the ships they fly would explain a lot of the resemblance.
6:48 I was under the impression that it's a...that thing's equivalent of......errrr.......mating ritual. To put it bluntly, I believe it tried to fuck your ship...literally.
Remember kids dont do drugs and the term for creating food from sunlight is called photosynthesis. That could also mean alien sugar exists in the galaxy.
If the biologicals are associated with Thargoids I wonder if the mineral formations have anything to do with the Guardians. They have a similar look to them, and like the guardian stuff seem to occupy the same general area.
Haven't gone very far yet outside the bubble, just to explore a few dark regions, but this makes me want to say ignore the bounty hunting and hauling distractions and just go do some real exploring.
So like, what do y’all do for fun in this game? I picked it up a while back, grinded my way to an anaconda and stopped playing a week later simply because I couldn’t find anything to do.
I still find it insane that FDev puts so much man hours into things that 1% of players see in game.
