I love your curly hair videos! I am 45 years old and have finally embraced my curls with the help of Deva Curl and supportive how to videos like yours. I learn something new everyday! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge!
Dawn Behrend I’m right there with ya. I’m 48 and I wish there were more videos for older curly hair. It’s great to see these. Just wish there was something to deal with the thinning bangs that frizzes easy.
I'm a mixed girl who recently started wearing my hair natural, as opposed to flat ironing it or roller set under the dryer for 2 hours! I rarely find tutorials for girls with hair similar to mine. Your videos are so helpful! I will definitely be subscribing!
buy thinning shears/ scissors and section off your crown and cut your hair...or go to a salon and ask to have your hair thinned. my hair used to be so thick but my aunt lent me the thinning scissors and now it's way less poofy and thick. plz don't thin on the top layer of curls as that creates a frizzy look
I twist my hair and use a claw clip to hold it on top of my head. I keep it like that when I shower and I have great definition. Probably because I have tighter curls tho lol nice video
I only wash my hair weekly. Or rather, I co-wash it. Not sure I can put all of those products in starting at day two. Might be a lot too much by the end of the week. But I appreciate the suggestions. Just bought a bunch of those products.
Thanks so much for this video!! My daughter has curly hair and I am just trying to figure out how to take care of it! I have straight hair! Any tips for the winter? Since you have to usually wet curly hair to style it...any products that dry quickly? Thanks again!!!
For the winter I highly recommend diffusing! As the seasons change though, I may find that it like different products so I will keep you updated! Thanks for watching💗
Sleeping with a satin scarf or case over your pillow definitely help preserve curls... i don’t use any protective style i just sleep with it out and spread over my pillow it doesn’t get ruined for the most part except for maybe a few random pieces the can be fixed with a little water & product
I had that same problem. It helped me to part it in the middle when it wet and twist the front section. once it dries it will be curly and i usually just leave mine twisted cayse it looks really cute
Mayti Maldonado it's because of your clothing, where your hair rubs and catches on the harsh Cotten, best thing to do is either switch to a synthetic smooth material like satin or keep the hair off that part, by tying it up
HI Dana! im new to embracing my curly hair and have just discovered the deva products and innersense line which I love and your styling tips have made such a difference for me! the one area where I am not pleased is with frizz halo that is still there because the products are only on the bottom 2/3s. Any suggestions on how to calm the halo, to match the awesomeness of the rest of my hair? karen
I have your type of hair and the only way my curls come back to life the next day is by wetting it really wetting it, then applying some hair smoothie scrunching and plopping that basically reactivates my gel and then I diffuse on cool setting otherwise it just looks stringy and dull.
I most of the time sleep like this too, but sometimes I like to scrunch up my hair, while it is upside down and then put it in a bun on top of my head. It gives me more crazy curls. 😁
Pin the crown of your head up and sleep on a satin pillowcase or in a satin cap. This is working for me currently. Make sure your original set is firm. I have to use a gel based products on first day. Or mix gel into a cream styling product.
I have a short bob and I find that wearing a Buff over my hair works the best. I flip my head upside down, pull the buff over my head and up to my hairline. It’s a bit of a Marge Simpson look but it really helps. I tried clipping and it was a tangled mess in the morning. This made a world of difference in being able to pull off 2nd and 3rd day hair.
I can't believe it but everything that you've shown in this video is what I normally do and I thought that I was the only one that did that pineapple on the head thing. I will definitely check out diva curl products. One question though. Do you have any tips on making the hair on the top curlier or more voluminous because usually in my case the top is wavy and flatter than the bottom
What is your workout hairstyle? It's so hard for me to get my hair looking fine after a workout if I don't wash it after(and I workout every day, please help!)
Would you consider your hair to be extremely thin and dry naturally, or thick? I've been struggling with finiding products that really hydrate it, because its very temperamental with the types of oils I put in it (they normally make my hair overly oily and flat instead of hydrated and defined). Also, for keeping tangles out of second and third day hair, i have to keep mine up a lot for work and it ends up giving me dreds if not brushed out with a hair brush.
Hi! My curls are similar to yours and I'm having a hard time getting it cut correctly. Any tips on how ur hair gets cut that I could delay to my hair stylist? My hair is a little thick and has been thinned which helps but I still feel like it's missing something. Thanks!
I am a curly girl too and I like the Ouidad line for the gel and Botanical spray. I haven't tried the Diva curl, curling products yet. Thanks for the tips! (I too sleep with a pineapple on my head😏👍🏻)
The only experience I have with ouidad products is when I went to a salon for a specialty cut. I wasn't impressed (product wise) only bc they used a gel which I really don't like. Any recommendations for softer products? I'd love to try some!!
I will combine Moroccan Oil (the real brand) with Deva Curl Wavemaker, and then add a little water to thin out the texture, start at my ends and work my way to my roots. I will also use a curl creme and again, dilute with water and work into my hair...try to use as minimal product as possible but these combinations do not make my hair crunchy, which is nice!
I've started sleeping with the crown of my hair pinned up. It's on the short side so can't pineapple really. The heat from my head works with the clips to gift lift and tame frizz for the next day. Just got a deva cut last week after straying to Ouidad for various reasons. Deva is working very well. I love your tips and I'm currently obsessed with 2nd and 3rd day curls and I'm able to get them for the first time in my curly hair journey. My biggest problem now is breaking out at the hairline from not washing!! Any tips for that? Going to be trying a few solutions on my own. Toner...retinA....hydrogen peroxide?
Rahila A I would like to know that as well! My hair tangles up on the first day and I don't feel comfortable not combing it through on the second day, but that's no good for the curls/ waves 😱
I have a question but I can’t find someone to answer it so I’ve always had curly hair it was really pretty and full when I was younger I’m 12 now and it’s not the same I don’t have my thick nice curly hair as I used to before. Now it’s mostly straight but it does have some very loose waves idk why I have never dyed my hair and I’ve only straightened it 3 times, but until know I want more my hair to go back like it was before. I asked my parents when my hair began to become straight they said when I got my first haircut my hair never grew back the same but idk if that’s possible. Does anyone think they can explain?plz
Mariela Cruz maybe your hair changes with time. But you could be also doing things wrong. When I was little, my hair was 3a-c but now it's around 2b-c. I've been trying to recover it by doing things right. I don't brush it (I only comb it upside down while it has conditioner in it. In the shower), I only wash it once a week, I deep condition and put oils in it and i make sure to use sulfate free shampoos. I stick to baby shampoos now since they're the cheapest. It has done some good(it's still my 2nd week) but I'll have to wait and see
My hair is really confusing and does its own thing... like it'll start off pretty good, but at the day goes the top will go flat and extremely frizzy. Is there a way I could fix this or is it just my hair?
Omg watching her channel 4 the first time and she made DIY leave in conditioner IN THE SAME BKTTLE AS ME this might sound like um ok but I just thought it was a wired consistence 😂😂♥️
Finally I found someone with the same curly hair like mine.... I've just subscribed to your channel.... where I grew up it's impossible to find products for curly hair... no hair dresser would give you a good hair cut that suits curly hair.. I used natural oils and I waged my hair daily to maintain my curls.. I live in Canada now and I am using curl deva no poo and one condition... and I use curl please by maltrix..I will get the other products that you used and try them..I am sure they will work coz we have the same type of curls
Can anyone here please tell me from which American state is she ? Because I'm from Italy and I really love her accent but I don't get to know where it comes from.
I’ve only had successful second day curls one time in my life. I sleep with a CPAP which prevents me from actually doing the hair protective things at night. 😒
I sleep with a very loose braid on my head. So I flip my head down and braid bit down lol. Looks kinda funny but it's the only way my hair Kees the wavy curly look without frizzing and tangling.
I wasn't a huge fan of the scent when I first got it but it grew on me. My boyfriend used my products in the shower once and he said the shampoo smelled like beer 😂
About a quarter size per half filled bottle of water. I think the combination depends heavily on your hair type tho, so feel free to play around with the ratios 😊
how do you wear your hair when you workout?
I love your curly hair videos! I am 45 years old and have finally embraced my curls with the help of Deva Curl and supportive how to videos like yours. I learn something new everyday! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge!

The Coconut Shine and Hold Mist from Shea Moisture is bomb! Amazing for second day curls
thanks for the recommendation!! :)

I have the same hair as yours, but I don't have the same face ,too bad 👀💔😂
Literally I was thinking the same thing 😂😭
Like, oh shit that's my hair and then damn, wish I was that pretty.
@@savannahhaley7473 Theres nothing wrong with ure face either!!! Ure gorgeous too!!
Miss Shosha, nothing wrong with ure face either!! Ure gorgeoys and unique too!! Rgds from a fellow curly girl in South Africa 🌍
My hair has a very similar texture but my hair is just so big and thick and frizzy, it's SO annoying 😖😖😖😖
buy thinning shears/ scissors and section off your crown and cut your hair...or go to a salon and ask to have your hair thinned.
my hair used to be so thick but my aunt lent me the thinning scissors and now it's way less poofy and thick. plz don't thin on the top layer of curls as that creates a frizzy look
+kaj catch isnt thinning hair like awful for curly hair?
majagaskar ...it can be. please consult a specialist. I'm only thirteen so you should double check my advice.
wow! you are so pretty!
Thank god I found someone with the same curls as me finally. Subscribed.
girl.. you have no idea how long i've been trying to find a youtuber with a similar type of hair that mine! will try your hair routine and this !
I twist my hair and use a claw clip to hold it on top of my head. I keep it like that when I shower and I have great definition. Probably because I have tighter curls tho lol nice video

Do you have a makeup tutorial for your look in this video? I love it! I never can get my wings to look that good!❤

Have someone who knows how to cut curly hair give her a haircut. I never had a good haircut for my hair type until my 30s!
Sleeping with a satin scarf or case over your pillow definitely help preserve curls... i don’t use any protective style i just sleep with it out and spread over my pillow it doesn’t get ruined for the most part except for maybe a few random pieces the can be fixed with a little water & product
peaceful soul I usually do the same thing. I’ve tried other ways, but this seems to work best for me👍🏼
My hair is really curly but the front of my hair gets straight , any pointers of how I can get it curly again?
It could be that it's got product build up and it needs a cleansing shampoo. Sometimes my hair starts getting limp when it's got build up.
Any cleansing shampoos you would recommend?
Gaby Rodriguez Cantu cleansing shampoo is really good
I had that same problem. It helped me to part it in the middle when it wet and twist the front section. once it dries it will be curly and i usually just leave mine twisted cayse it looks really cute
Deva Curl Build up Buster is life changing, used for the 1st time today LOVE IT !
My hair underneath gets REALLY tangled. What do I do?
Mayti Maldonado it's because of your clothing, where your hair rubs and catches on the harsh Cotten, best thing to do is either switch to a synthetic smooth material like satin or keep the hair off that part, by tying it up
I like your videos because your hair reminds me of my oldest daughter's hair. Very helpful. thank you.

Yasss love crazy curls 💜
i am so happy that i found your channel, it is so helpful!!!

My hair is too short for a pineapple. My curls and waves are gone in one night though. Any tips?
Pin the crown of your head up and sleep on a satin pillowcase or in a satin cap. This is working for me currently. Make sure your original set is firm. I have to use a gel based products on first day. Or mix gel into a cream styling product.
look up how to «plop» your hair. you basically just tie your hair up in a tshirt
You can sleep in a satin scarf:)
Rebekah Dennison look up Medusa clipping

I loooooove your hair!! What color do you use for it or is that your natural color?
I love that make up style!
Stunning hair! I'd love a head of hair like that...
Try the Mizani refresher spray! I loooove it and it’s the lightest day 2-3 hair refresher I’ve used.
Would you consider your hair to be extremely thin and dry naturally, or thick? I've been struggling with finiding products that really hydrate it, because its very temperamental with the types of oils I put in it (they normally make my hair overly oily and flat instead of hydrated and defined).

you're so gorggg
what ratio of water and conditioner do you mix in the bottle??
one spoon conditioner two spoons water

Thanks for those tips!. How do you avoid crashing your curls while sleeping?. It always happens to me, mostly when my hair is freshly washed
I try to put it right on top of my head, I am a reckless sleeper and it's usually ok. You could try covering it with a scarf?
What is the equivalent to pineapple on short/shoulder length hair?
Velvet Clay look up Medusa clipping🙂 or maybe a satin bonnet or scarf?
Love your curly hair.. i need to try some of those products. 😍
I HIGHLY recommend them. Game changers for sure!
you are so gorgeous girll keep going
LOVE YAA
Thank you babe! Love you!!
I feel like this crown of my head gets really frizzy ...what am I doing wrong?
Usually the crown of your head is the thickest. Than can make it go frizzy
How do you take out your knots on second day curls without damaging/combing your hair??
Rahila A I would like to know that as well! My hair tangles up on the first day and I don't feel comfortable not combing it through on the second day, but that's no good for the curls/ waves 😱

I'm so glad☺️

I have this exact same problem. There’s no way i can go a day without washing my hair either.
Just found ur channel love u! You have the same hair as me! P.s I am using my brothers account I am a girl
Can I buy these products in the uk?
is this the same makeup look that you did in a previous video?
No it's not 😊
Dana Marie could you do one please :) you look stunning
Do you have a video for day 3..???
Brad your hair from the bottom at the back to the front keeps all the outside curls from getting friźzy
I have the same curls as you but my hair is super thin 😣
What's your hair type?
Omg watching her channel 4 the first time and she made DIY leave in conditioner IN THE SAME BKTTLE AS ME this might sound like um ok but I just thought it was a wired consistence 😂😂♥️
Please answer! What lip sticks is on ur lips in the thumbnails !!!
I'm so sorry I prefilmed I don't remember 😔
Yo what about those of us with short curls, like, too short for any type of bun

I try to do most of my detangling before and in the shower :) check out my curly hair routine for more info!
Você é tão linda😊
Can anyone here please tell me from which American state is she ? Because I'm from Italy and I really love her accent but I don't get to know where it comes from.
You have the same exact hair as my mom
I’ve only had successful second day curls one time in my life. I sleep with a CPAP which prevents me from actually doing the hair protective things at night. 😒
I have the same hair as you
Girl we got the same curls, let's be friends 😭
I miss her hair looking like this
She looks like that girl from star
she looks like simone from star omg
кто нибудь скажет что она говарит
I sleep with a very loose braid on my head. So I flip my head down and braid bit down lol. Looks kinda funny but it's the only way my hair Kees the wavy curly look without frizzing and tangling.
I feel like the best protective hairstyles always look the funniest 😂
Deva Curl smells awful!
I wasn't a huge fan of the scent when I first got it but it grew on me. My boyfriend used my products in the shower once and he said the shampoo smelled like beer 😂
so your telling me u dont wash ur hair acter the gym.... umm yuck
Samantha Milligan grow up.
You shouldn’t wash your hair daily. You should work out daily.
Doesn’t mean she doesn’t wet it
Samantha Milligan Also that's why dry shampoo exists :)
what ratio of water and conditioner do you mix in the bottle??
About a quarter size per half filled bottle of water. I think the combination depends heavily on your hair type tho, so feel free to play around with the ratios 😊
