Joy Before Her love your channel! Your tips help my curls so much... Where do you buy your products? I'm from South Africa and I've never seen these products in store so I'm guessing I'll have to get them online 😊
Awilda Jimenez i thought the same thing that’s way to much work to just refresh your curls, unless you’re going to a special occasion, I need something quick that doesn’t look too bad but doesn’t have to be perfect curls for an everyday look
I know how annoying it can be to get compared to someone because sometimes you feel like "I look like ME" but You def look like what a baby by shakira and Beyoncé would look (if that were possible) ;) Very pretty
Okay, you probably figured something out already, but what I noticed is if I put a bit of wax in, that helps, just on the tips of your fingers and kinda scrunch it in. I get super frizzy. Also, I wet my hair in the morning with this DIY mix of green tea and glycerine, the glycerine helps your hair move past each other with less friction and the green tea supposedly helpt re-hydrating.
I just wanted to say that I am so happy that I found you, and I want to let you know that I am so grateful for you and what I’m learning from you. I never knew about curl type before and now I know I have 2c and 3a curls. I have very long hair. I’ve ordered many of the products that you recommended and I can’t wait to try them. I also want to get the diva curl blow dryer. That looks amazing!
Haha thanks for watching! Yeah I messed up lol, I meant on day 2 I add water, and day 3 and on is where I add the rest of the stuff. That's why I put day 3-4 in the title
I just recently discovered that my daughter's hair is curly. Mine and my 3 other daughters all have straight soft hair except for one. Hers is coarse and always wavy/curly. I've been doing the curly girl method and its amazing how her curls have come alive. I love it! The only question I have is how do I brush it the next day? I usually rewet it and put a next day curling product in it, but do I brush it or not? I have a Denman brush and it helps with her ringlets when her hair is wet, but what do I do the next day? I don't want her to end up with a rats nest.
Serious question here. Why not just wash ur hair again since ur wetting it and doing everything you did the first time. What the reason not to wash instead? TY
I need to wash mine, otherwise it feels like my scalp is burning. I can not stay that much without washing my hair, and I go to the gym, so it gets worse faster.
Curly hair is on the dry side. If you wash your hair everyday (with shampoo) it will make the hair a lot worse! And washing hair everyday is not good for any type of hair. All the products she used had a hella lot of moisture. So instead of washing just wet your hair (water is the best moisture) and apply your favorite styler (for extra hydration and locking in moisture).
She cant be for real with these products (sponsored)... I have similar hair and I get these results with water and diy flaxseed gel. Hope this helps for those who are beginning their curly journey and are like, WTF?!
How would you describe your hair? Fine, thick or normal? I have fine curly hair and have problems with products weight my hair down quickly. I definitely feel like I need moisture in my hair as it's been frizzy lately with new growth happening.
Hi I saw discover your channel by helping my 15 years old daughter with her hair and I loved all your tutorials and I have one question what do you put on your eyes cuz it's looks so natural.... and what lipstick you are wearing...as well... keep up with the videos 👍🏼😃💖🌹
Yay... i love this... especially cuz Im not the only one waiting 4 days to wash their hair. My hair is finally growing... love your layers!! Do u have a vid about how u get ur hair trimmed???
Thank you for the video! Can you post the list of products that you used, pls? I didn’t understand all of them from the video. It was so fast :) thank you very much!
Love your hair. My hair is similar but my hair always looks dry. I use all the same products on wet hair. Is there a mask or something you recommend to get some luster back?
Gorgeous! I am caucasian...do you think these products are too heavy? I have very coarse, curly hair that gets very frizzy, but I like it to have a lot of volume.
My hair is alot like urs. Ty 4 the reviews on the products. I tend 2 use a little of everything do as different products. I don't use 1 type of product as in gels leave in conditioners pomades masks and etc. Thank u so much 4 the info. Do u kno if they give free samples? Jus askin u kno...lol But will differently will try the technics with my stuff. Eileen from The Bronx.
I am so happy I stumbled upon your channel! I am considering buying the devacurl diffuser and I watched your review and about 6 other videos now lol! I am slowly trying to nurse my curls back to health.. question? My hair is at shoulder length and I cannot do a pineapple 😩 Do u have any other suggestions for sleeping with curls? And have you ever tried bouncecurl? I've heard so many people talk about it on instagram and I want to try it!
Erika Verdejo I'm glad to hear that! To sleep, I suggest getting a silk scarf to wrap your hair in, a silk bonnet, or sleep on a silk pillowcase! I haven't tried Bounce Curl yet but I want to. Thanks for watching 💕
Sorry if you've addressed this in another video, but do you ever shower and just rinse (not wash) your hair? If you do, do you do this routine or do you do the full wash day routine? Thanks very much! Also you're gorgeous.
I actually do this. I just rinse my hair with my hair and add conditioner cause it gets very tangled and afterwards, do a full curly hair routine without shampoo
I love your videos! I have the same hair as you and use similar products many times. I am experimenting with the shea moisture high porosity line and so far I like it. Have you tried it?
Great video! Some questions: 1-How long does this entire process take? 2- how would your hair look if you air dried your hair? I am very confused, if I used all of these products my hair would look and feel very 'coated"! Why do you think that your hair does not? Thank you !!
This process could take around 20 minutes depending on how much energy I have that day haha. But the more you do it, the quicker you get at it. My hair air drys differently, it doesn't curl as much on the bottom and doesn't have as much volume so I like to diffuse since my curl pattern isn't super tight. My hair doesn't feel coated, it absorbs it all pretty well, but it all depends on the hair type you have. Thank you for watching!
I had a question. I feel like my hair stinks by the 2 day so I have to cowash it. I tried using the deva curl to restyle it but it gives a funky smell on the second day. Is their something that can be used so I wont have to cowash ir every other day?
Thank you! You can google "the pineapple method" and the image will pop up, but basically you gather all your hair on top of your head and put it in a loose ponytail to maintain your curls from getting flat while you sleep.
Thanks! SImilar to my hair color, type of curls & style... But there are in the the world there are many people who can not afford economically so much money for a hair product, especially expensive because of other waste and priorities, sometimes because they do not have parental support ... And in many countries, earnings are very small and even not on sale Garnier Fructise for curls ...And we do something simple to get good result... But when someone is not alone anymore & have a lot of job or priorites-he coudn~t spend soo much time & product just for hair...I`m just talking from my huuuuge life expirience!...
Honestly it all depends on the person's hair type. I think it works great, but any diffuser would work as well. It's all about preference because some diffusers do things a little differently
hey no need to get excited lol. no I don't need all those products, but in the past when I'd use only 1 or 2 products, my hair would be super flat. so I just got used to using more products, but the thing is I don't use a lot, I only use a little bit of each
Sorry but this seems like way too much work AND product for a refresh of curls. Might as well just have a wash day. Have you tried just wetting your curls and scrunching and letting the products that are in your hair (esp gel) reactivate?
I do use a lot but that's because I've tried to only use 1 or 2 products and my hair just doesn't last. My hair is fine and my curls are loose so I need more product for hold and volume.
Exactly! There are in the the world there are many people who can not afford economically so much money for a hair product, especially expensive because of other waste and priorities, sometimes because they do not have parental support ... And in many countries, earnings are very small and even not on sale Garnier Fructise foor curls ...
Alex Al But if this is what works for her it's what works for her. Shes showing how SHE does it. Not how you need to do it. Some people need that much. Its just how it goes.
No you're not ^^ - I also do it but I'm not happy with it because it always flattens the bottom layer of my hair. This part is also tricky to refresh... have you found a better way to preserve curls at night? Btw I have mostly 3a curls
This video is old and I don’t do this routine anymore. I used too many products lol. Check out my new videos to see my latest routines! 💕
Joy Before Her love your channel! Your tips help my curls so much... Where do you buy your products? I'm from South Africa and I've never seen these products in store so I'm guessing I'll have to get them online 😊
I was gonna sayyy! Loll.. I'd rather just wash it again lol.. I'll look for the updated ones 😄
To refresh your hair you are basically redoing your hair with the exception of not shampooing.
Awilda Jimenez no detangling/no deep conditioning. Those two things take the longest
I hear u, it's so true
Right !
Awilda Jimenez i thought the same thing that’s way to much work to just refresh your curls, unless you’re going to a special occasion, I need something quick that doesn’t look too bad but doesn’t have to be perfect curls for an everyday look
Awilda Jimenez my thoughts exactly.
I know how annoying it can be to get compared to someone because sometimes you feel like "I look like ME" but You def look like what a baby by shakira and Beyoncé would look (if that were possible) ;) Very pretty
This is too much product for me. Which one do you think is best for taming frizz? My curls get really frizzy after 1 day.
I have the exact same curl pattern as you! I just started using the devacurl products this week and they have been a LIFE CHANGER.
Yay! Aren't they great? Thanks for watching :)
Ciara Lanham what deva curl products do you use?
Are they very expensive?
Wait I thought they made people’s hair fall out and have them headaches and stuff??!!!!
I'm so happy to finally find a girl who has the same curl type as me! I love your videos!
yayyy :) thanks for watching!
@@JoyBeforeHer : so by day 5, it’s time to shampoo the hair?
Just want to say I absolutely love your channel but more how humble and honest you are!! 🙌🏼🤗
Love your curly hair tips! BTW you remind me of Shakira!☺
Steph Daniela yes, she does look like shakira 😍
OMG YES I WAS LIKE SHE LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE FAMILIAR

deva stylist here, you and your curls are so gorgeous and this video is amazing!!! thank you so much for sharing. you really know your stuff
thanks so much!! :)
That's so many products for a refresh! Your hair looks amazing
I counted maybe 6 products and you initially said you just added water 😂 Great results though!!
Haha thanks for watching! Yeah I messed up lol, I meant on day 2 I add water, and day 3 and on is where I add the rest of the stuff. That's why I put day 3-4 in the title
Joy Before Her You made no mistake, s/he just wasn't listening closely. I understood it no problem!
That is definitely not frizz girl!! It came out looking amazing 💜💜
Aw thank you! :)

Check out my other video called How I Get Volume!
I can't waste 30 minutes of refreshing my curls when I have stuff to do ;/
Hermosisima!!!! me super encanta tu cabello!!! 😍 Cmo lo traes pintado??
gracias! Es de color marrón claro con reflejos rubios
Good tip about turning off the blow dryer, in between sections so that your hair doesn’t fly around!
Thanks SO much for this video. I have been wanting to learn how to do next day hair and I tried this and I liked the results. ❤
I wish my curls looked that good!!
Just recently found your channel and I’m already in love!!’
That's a lot of product. Does it make ur hair feel hard / crunchy?
i have curly hair and I wash it everyday is that okay?(sry i just started transitioning my hair)

Where did you get your diffuser? I really like it and I wanna try one.
So in your Deva Curl routine you use wave maker first and then gel, but in this refresh video you use gel then finish with wave maker?
My hair is alot like urs.
Ty 4 the reviews on the products.

I been wanting to try Mix Chics. Is it curly girl approved ?? Would u recommend it ?
so in one video you used all shea moisture products, do you recommend anything with those products for 3/4th day hair?

Erika Verdejo idk if you've tried it yet, but bounce curl is AMAZING. Imo it's just as great as Devacurls ultra defining gel.
I needed this! Thank you!
thanks for watching! :)

OMG! First youtuber that has the exact same hair texture as me
What is that thing on the end of your hair dryer? I live in Aus and never seen such a thing lol!
Carol Fudali that is a deva fuser. The diffusor from devacurl. It looks like Hulks hands 😄😄
oh my goodness you’re gorgeous 😍💘
Your hair is gorgeous! You said something at the beginning like you sleep in a pineapple. What did you mean by that?
Thank you! You can google "the pineapple method" and the image will pop up, but basically you gather all your hair on top of your head and put it in a loose ponytail to maintain your curls from getting flat while you sleep.

How long do you leave it that way?

Is the dc hair dryer a must for curly hair or will any diffuser work the same
Check out my diffuser review video, I compare that dryer with another one I have and go into detail about the pros and cons :)
Honestly it all depends on the person's hair type. I think it works great, but any diffuser would work as well. It's all about preference because some diffusers do things a little differently
Gorgeous hair, good video but I don’t have $3000 to spend on product 😱😆
Shakira vibes😍🙌🏼
What is the name of that defuser?
I'm glad I found you
How do you ask for your hair to be cut???
Can please tell me the exact product you used in this video
All the products I used are above description box above, click "show more"
So how long would it take to air dry?
radioactive ood It always depends on the person's hair type, or the weather, but mine might take around 4 hours.
what defuser was that
can you pls show the products you apply .
Liliana Espinoza I showed them while I was styling but all the names of the products are in the description box!

why you need like 5 or 6 products for refreshing your hair your hair is just getting weighed down and 4 of those products are doing nothingg
kate This old. I don’t do this routine anymore. I have a new refreshing routine on my channel.
I'm a 2c. Is anyone else? :)
You look crazy like Shakira for me. I know you've probably heard that billion times sorry xd
That’s a lot of products 😬
Sorry but this seems like way too much work AND product for a refresh of curls. Might as well just have a wash day. Have you tried just wetting your curls and scrunching and letting the products that are in your hair (esp gel) reactivate?
Laura Yup, this is an old video so I’m working on putting up my new routine soon!
good tips 👍

@@JoyBeforeHer well all that product is just making your hair weighed down like 3 of those products are doing nothing.

Too much product. Whyy?
Too much products. Wow.
Am I the only one who wears a pineapple and it doesn't work?!
