Me too. I have tried everything. Pineapple, silk and satin pillowcase, Medusa clipping. NOTHING WORKS. I always wake up with weird shaped/stretched out curls.

SOO BEAUTIFUL. My hair is naturally curly and I just started the curly girl process the other day and I also love the 2nd- 3rd day hair!! I will do what you do in this video and see what happens. Curly hair is so beautiful.. i finally realize my natural hair is beautiful
All my sisters and my mom have straight or loose wavy hair so I never knew how to take care of my curls so your channel is a GOLD MINE for tips and products for me! Can't wait to start wearing my natural curls the way they should be- healthy and beautiful 🥰
I didn’t know how to take care of my hair (it’s exactly the same texture as yours) but I’ve seen some of your videos and they’ve been super helpful! Thank you!!!
Great video!!! Some people talk for TOO long about irrelevant stuff but you gave us the facts so quick. By the end of the video I was yelling at my phone "yasss bb!!" I love volume too :)
I have 2c, 3a, but i'm still transitioning (i'm getting 3b curls at the bottom which is crazy lol) but I found out I like refreshing my hair by wetting it with my hands instead than with a spray bottle, you could try it

OMG I love your hair! I had curls down to my hips and I hated them, the top was always straight and the rest super frizzy! 4 years ago I got a pixie cut and I loved it, it was so easy to take care of. Slowly as the curls started to come back, I really liked the short curls. But today is now the first time I'm going back to the hair dresser since January and I have no idea how I want to cut it🙈 It is about chin length now, straight on the top and curly further down and I kinda want to cut it short again (but still with curls) but everyone says they like it longer... Having curls is a gift and a curls, I like them but they are so much work and there is so much trial and error before you get it right🙃
I just want to say thank you because even though I don't have the same curl type as you (I have 2b/2c) you have really helped me into looking after my hair and I've been researching because of you!! My hair isn't a matted rats nest now!!
I would put my hair up in a pineapple but my scalp is sensitive, like my pineapple won’t be tight but I wake up with my scalp sore because my hair was up, I sleep on a satin pillow case
I would say use a bonnet without putting your hair in a pineapple I sleep like that and it works just as well and your scalp won’t be sore in the morning :)
Omg 6:40 I relate SO much! My refresh days a re always better than wash days. My hair is too soft and often has more fluffed curls, but that 3 day texture brings out some gorgeous ringlets. You're probably the first person I've seen on my little youtube search who is a curly girl with hair as similar to mine as curly hair can get lol😂 time to dive into your channel
Love this 😍 I love my curls but they look terrible once I've slept on them. So I'm definitely going to try all these steps, thank you so much for the tips gigi!! 💖
im a fashion student and bcz of that i have a lot of fabric especially satin silk cuz they are pretty, im just starting my curly hair journey this year cuz before i have straighten it and i stop cuz i want my curls back but i didn't think that stopping myself from straighting it will get my curls back and like january i start to learn more about my hair and turns out there's a lot of things you need to do and sorry for the long intro tho haha but i want to give tips for ppl that are under budgets like me, im still 16 and that means i still depends on my parents money and i can't work part time jobs yet here in my country at the age 16 so the tips is if you can't use silk bonets and scarf bcuz they kept falling off when ur sleeping but buying silk or satin pillowcase are expensive then try buying the fabric only, it's much cheaper and then you cover them over ur pillow. it works very well for me cuz i move around when sleeping and my headscarf and handmade silk bonets kept falling off when i sleep. i can't really recommend products like gel, cream, etc cuz i myself is still learning tho lmao
You can also do this in the shower with day 3/4 hair if I don’t have time to wash my hair I usually get my hair wet and put leave in treatment all over my hair
I just came across your channel and i love your hair. Looking back on your hair and mine we have the exact same hair, to the curl type and pattern, the colour and almost the length
omg tysm! my curly hair has become really frizzy in the back and almost straight at the nape of my neck😭 i will definitely try this so my curls can go back to normal!
when I had long hair what used to bother me was this layer of frizz which would happen, and was what everyone saw when they saw my head, and then the curls which were UNDER that frizz. so frustrating
Thank you so much for this tutorial!! It was like seeing magic unfold 😅 I only wash my hair 1-2 times a week and I was wondering if sea salt spray helps because I remember how my hair seemed to love to be tousled beach wind and it got so ferociously curly
I also 100% prefer my refresh days over my wash day results - there’s always just a perfect balance between definition and volume. I literally have the same hair type so maybe it’s a 2c/3a thing haha
alexa janelle what’s your routine? Im still trying to figure out how to get good wash day results - I get really good definition but no volume :( and I’m a hoe for volume lol
Jadythelady I have the same curl pattern Gigi does and I get crazy volume blowdrying my hair upside down on low heat while flipping to the other side regularly and only lightly shaking my hair at the roots, no other touching.
