so this was the first gaelic song i ever heard and this is the one i keep coming back too i like other ones but this song jsut speaks to me more deeply than other songs its atually the reason why im currently trying to learn irish ( language)
Scots Gaelic and Irish are very similar, but are very difficult to mutually grasp in speech. Many verbal variations and the diction is quite different. Both languages spread apart since the 16th Century although Irish dialects in the north of the island can understand Scots Gaelic much more easily than Munster Irish speakers in the South of the Island. Irish officially has had to strike a balance between three major dialects so the spelling has evolved a little as well. There are numerous similarities but deviations are just as many and both are separate languages now, just like Dutch and German.
I actually really enjoyed this movie I know a lot of people didn't like it because they were expecting larger than life hero's life William Wallace but to me this movie was more intriguing because it dealt with a man who is just trying to make his way in the world
Braveheart had so many inaccuracies in it unfortunately! William Wallace would never have slept with anyone in the royal family and historians doubt that him and Robert The Bruce ever met coz they'd have probably killed each other! What we need is a movie about The Bruce! Scotland's true hero
What a beautiful and tragic film. I've had this movie for over 25 years and this is the first time I've seen it edited so wonderfully. Compelling sound and a most lovely voice. Thank-you

Thanks for your comment! I am probably one of the people you envy, because if a music hits me, it hits me even if it's only instrumental or even if I can't understand the language. I usually "feel" a music or a song, if it can be explained this way. I'm happy you enjoyed it because of the voice, though!
