Just cut one wing on your white chicken that keeps getting out, that way it can’t fly as it can’t get lift off. Cut both wings and it will still fly. Burger and fries for the pigs names. Love from Australia 💕

I had a white chicken that did that all the time. So I finally took everyones advice and clipped her wing. She got attracted by a predator aka neighbors dog and she was not able to escape. 🐔😒
Often snipped the wing feathers from one wing on my Cockatiel....worked wonders and ended the attempted flights quickly...no lift...

Correct we had muscovy ducks & only clipped one wing. Just the flight feathers cut at an angle.
Worked like a charm they were still able to enjoy a foot or two of air to swim around and dive in the pond but never got out.
Willow wasn't yawning. She's getting ready for labor! ☺

Recommended to Install gutters in the goat barn and collect the water in summer . In winter put some long runners at the end of the system to detour the water far out. I my help clean the snow far out the fence.
You have some unique chickens and that’s ok, you tell us that is what makes us great lol. You are so caring about all of your animals, making sure pigs ok for night.

Seeing how much extra work it takes working around the long winters up there sure makes me appreciate the weather here in Missouri a lot more! This is the week everything should be going outside for our summer gardens here. It's hard to imagine how frustrated I'd be to have to keep my plants inside for another month!

I always planted my tomato plants deeper up the stem . If you do that the stem underground will actually root out giving the plant more access to water and more stability because it is planted deeper . It always worked for me. Just a thought

PORGY & BESS made them selves at home easily. Your camera captured all those colors in the sunset was jaw dropping. I was amazed how fast those chickens are growing. Figuro looked like he did all the work around the farm. We had a rooster I called Sir Kellogg that roosted at night in the little compartment below the mailbox. (the mailbox has a outhouse around it without a door.) Do you actually see that view from your property? Like if you put a porch example where the sliding doors are on your home, will you be able to enjoy that view from your porch? The scenery makes for a worth while day of hard work to sit down & enjoy something like that. I know when I got done in the yard which took me all day from dusk to dawn, after my bath I was ready for the porch, the sunset views was so worth it. Blessings to you and your family. It's great to have nice spring weather , eh ? That large soil blocker looks super . I still like Ham and Pork Chop for the pigs. By the way , Miss Olivia , the old traditional pig call was sooeeee , pig , pig , pig.
The white hen will be dinner for someone if she's not more careful. Al , if you want to curtail her flying , I have always read that only one wing is clipped. That is supposed to unbalance her so she can not fly. Another , more permanent way , is to remove the tip of one wing at the first joint. It's called , pinioned . Commercial hatcheries often do that with game birds and or ducks and turkeys that can fly.
I've had rain for eight days straight and everywhere on my place is like mush. Then two dry days and today I am supposed to have heavy thunderstorms this afternoon. As if I need more rain.

My garden is planted I ordered my seeds from baker creek and did myself this year next year Im definitly ordering grow lights as I really had to rotate them constantly in the bay window as they grew toward the sun but im really proud for my first time

Today the farm looked like one !!!! The pigs grunting , boy were they thirsty !!!! Chickens , Olivia running about with tanner 👌🏽👍🏼!!! I loved the way you did the planting ,,,, never seen it , we plant differently here straight into the ground !!!! But I guess it’s the things work out differently in various countries!!! I had to build a barn, I made chickens and a rooster and she pulled out little people that actually matched you and your family rather well, she said they are Al, Gina and Olivia! Next we have to make goats, dogs and a Figaro! Best of all: I get to build with Legos again 😁

The drone must have got fixed, great sunset footage. It'll be great for recording your barn build progress. Take a few birds eye shots at each stage then you can splice together for an interesting video montage.

We still have crazy amount of rain here in Kansas. Corn and wheat crops are severely suffering in our area. Flooding and large trees falling because ground is so moist it won't hang on to the roots.

I am eager to get into our garden. We are in S. Ont. & our backyard is like a swamp, our raised beds are sitting in at least an inch of water. In the 19yrs. We’ve been here I’ve never seen it like this! Today the 9th we have been forecasted for up to another 12 inches of rain in the next 48 hrs. Crazy weather! We are on top of the escarpment(rock & shale) & the water tables are most likely saturated. We aren’t in an area that gets flooded.
Glad you are having good weather finally. We shut our heat down (brick storage) for the season. Then the temperature dropped to 30 and it snowed yesterday. The dogs and I are huddled around a space heater.

We live in Central Texas and we already have cucumbers onions peppers lettuce zucchini squash and scallions. I made zucchini ,chicken,bacon and jalapenos and mozzarella for dinner last night! Its so nice to have fresh veg again!

Hey Al, glad your that free vitamin D and free Prozac. I've thought of a few more names,Hammy and Big Bacon. Hammy was a cartoon character. I always liked my tomatoes to be a little leggy. I could bury them deep if I figured on dry summer or lay the leggy part of the plants in a trench to gain more heat at the surface. Well looks like your spring has broke and you can finally kick the year into gear. The Mississippi River has fallen four inches and is predicted to keep dropping. We didn't get the five inches of rain predicted only about an inch. They did get some heavy rain and snow north of use but it shouldn't get here till the river gets down quite a bit. Short of a heavy rain in the area we should be done with the worst of it. Well enjoy the nice weather and to you and yours health, happiness and prosperity. Larry
