My m6 was throwing a "wheel stuck error." I've torn down the wheel on the robot to find out it was the electric motor inside that burned. Replacing it was much easier than soldering wires together, I would definitely recommend looking into that before cutting any wires
@@TheDowner911 I salvaged a motor from a broken m6. The motor is in a black case along with some white cogs. It's on it's own PCB. You will still need to solder, however you will solder in a much more convenient spot at the PCB rather than splicing an entire harness.
@@Radi0he4d1 Hey Thanks for the reply, I called irobot, and god support is useless. Do you by chance know what the model id of the servo motor it is using? I unfortunately don't have a broken m6, so I'm thinking maybe the cheaper way + easier less soldering than buying the entire left wheel module is to just buy the motor as you said and solder it on to the PCB. Also how has your repair gone? Works like brand new?
I have this same error 10 on my Braava. Unfortunately I am not this savvy to cut the wire or shoulder anything :) Why do they have this model with such complicated assembly to replace wheels. !
Irobot does not sell this part. The only way to get a replacement wheel is to buy one from ebay. Or if you want a new one, you can send it into irobot for repair and they will install with a new part.
Thanks! This robot is trash! The design is terrible: extremely difficult to repair, and spare parts are impossible to find. After buying it, I’ve reassessed the iRobot ecosystem negatively, and I’ll probably never buy their products again. The 6xx series is definitely better, much easier to fix!
I was able to solder a new wheel to my Braava using this guide. Using the heat gun on the plastic bracket was a pro tip. Working great now!
Thanks for the tips and tricks! Time to turn two roombas into one

I replaced a motor without any problems, motor +pcb on the motor sold on aliexpress, 5 euro fix. Only long waiting time
Where did you buy the motor? and how did you replace it without soldering any wires?
@@glennH93 Can you link the motor + pcb you needed? I am bumping into the same issue!

Where can one buy the replacement wheel assembly?
Thx
Rick
Ebay is your best bet
Buy a whole faulty M6, it's cheaper
Thanks!
