Great feature for modeling panel lines

Will definitely give it a try with your course. So many applications for that way of modelling.

THANK YOU for making this. I’m trying plasticity out right now (and definitely going to buy it), and was wondering why this feature seemed to be missing! Well it isn’t, just hidden in the long list of tools :p This program is… the best.

I believe the difference between vector and normal is this. Vector is a vectorized line projected onto the 3D body, good for most models, however Normal aligns with the normals of the 3D body which if you are going to export to another 3D program you might want to use that one. Because when I tried both the vector in Blender and 3D coat was giving me weird artifacts and stuff.

The more videos I watch regarding it, the more I'm interested in Plasticity. Is there a way to import a vector file to use for imprinting?

Is plasticity better than blender and max or is it just another option

it's different kind of software, blender/max/cinema are polymodeling softwares. Plasticity is CAD modeling software, but it's very user friendly and intuitive. If you're a noob at 3d modeling and want to try jumping in to that world, especially hardsurface, plasticity is, one the best options to try.

@@TheSzymonszymczak thanks for the reply. After abit of research it just seems to be another tool. Kind pointless using it if you are advanced on max or blender in my opinion

@@enensis Plasticity opens up whole new ways of modeling hard surface to people who are not used to CAD modelling software like Siemens NX, Solidworks, Inventor. The closes thing available is probably Fusion 360 from Autodesk, but Plasticity has a much simpler user interface more similar to Blender than to any of the CAD packages I mentioned. Max and Blender are not able to do this type of modelling because they are built around polygon modeling workflows.
