    Why would my clutch start to slip after installing mnnthbx heavy duty clutch and springs? Line is adjusted properly. Doesnt slip when warm

      @speeddemon370  Год назад +1

      Can't be installed properly if it slips until warm. Sounds like a "take it apart and redo" scenario.

    So you have to drain the engine oil before removing the clutch cover, correct?

    Does the longer temporary assembly bolts come with the springs??

    • @speeddemon370
      @speeddemon370  5 лет назад +1

      Yup. They are included with the springs.
      (I fixed the product description so it now says that, thanks for the catch)👍

    Anyone know the ebc part number for the springs needed??

    Are these the 10-15% stiffer springs? How did it effect lever pull weight?

    • @speeddemon370
      @speeddemon370  5 лет назад +1

      Yeah, they're about 15% according to EBC. I could not notice any difference in lever pull. I'm sure there is a miniscule difference but I couldn't feel it.

      @@speeddemon370 Interesting I'd have thought you would have felt something. I did a 60% stiffer spring and immediately pulled em out. My lever pull was insanely hard. Riding for more than 5 minutes my hand would cramp lol.

    • @speeddemon370
      @speeddemon370  5 лет назад

      @@1337mathis 60% is a lot and should be noticeable. 15% is the difference of friction coefficient between hot/cold. My drag bike (the 10R on this channel) has the heaviest springs Brocks Performance sells. After riding that for a few years there is almost nothing the Z125 can do to make the left hand notice (which unfortunately does not give an honest review regarding lever pull "effort").
      A long time ago some old timers taught me a trick. Tie a rope to a bag of potatoes. Wrap that rope around a broom stick. Lift and lower the potatoes by rotating the broom stick at chest height and arms length in front of you. Do that at least once a week for at least 10 minutes. Problem solved.
      PS: Thanks old timers!
