Luffy can be cut it's a major weakness for him. The reason bullets don't work is because, as per the theme of pirates, the bullets aren't pointed but instead round balls
Not to mention flintlocks didn't have rifling so the rounds didn't rotate, which would cause penetration through friction, and it also made them exceptionally inaccurate compared to modern firearms in real life.

Having been a fan of ONE PIECE for two decades, I'm continually amazed at how the show consistently captivates new audiences when they decide to watch it. The 8-episode live-action adaptation only managed to include a bit less than 50 anime episodes, but the writers decided to bring Luffy and Garp relation thing from episodes 313/314!
Puns were on point with this ep. Respect! This episode does my boy Usopp dirty. It's my only real gripe with the live-action show. He got to be much more heroic and brave in the manga/anime.
Genuinely my only criticism of the live-action as well. Personally I wish that the ball he shoots at Kuro turns out to be a smoke bomb, so after Kuro catches it, it ends up as a clever moment where Usopp distracts him with a burst of smoke
context of this and the previous episode with Kuro and such, in the anime/manga is Wildly different and this is the most reworked part of the LA. They condensed it all to be one night in a mansion and give Kuro a much more slasher villain creep vibe while in the anime/manga it's pretty standard shonen fare of load of episodes being around the village and the final fight is on a beach and also showing more than two of Kuro's crewmates. Honestly a good change and a glow up since Kuro is such an early villain in OP he wasn't very fleshed out and Oda the creator was still figuring out how to do a manga and the feel of his series
Kuina was going down the stairs to get a stone to sharpen her sword. She tripped and fell (it was raining in the anime so the stairs were slippery). The Sensei isn't suss, he's Kuina's father.
There's two people in the spyglass, there. Obviously Koby is Luffy's grandpa. Why Luffy has never acknowledged this or mentioned it before is a mystery.
I still can't believe you guys are new at doing videos, you two are so organic it's so fun to watch your videos and btw we don't even know if she's alive or not no spoilers but kwina is a complicated matter in one piece, the theory is the creator of one piece (Oda) had something planned but dropped it off midway
No it’s confirmed Kuina is dead. The whole crux of Zoro’s drive and his promise is because of the fragility of life. It would seriously cut his character’s core down at the knees if she was alive. However there are some parallels and coincidences to keep an eye out for.
this isn't a spoiler since it's related to something you've already seen and already know, it's just a difference and little context that wasn't given in the live action, but i like to explain this before saying it just to be as clear as possible, also this is related to Kuina's fate, in the manga her body was actually shown and there was more details about the accident, what happened is that she fell down the stairs while going to sharpen her sword and died, that's as much as it's told however it's possible that she pierced herself with her sword while falling down the stairs, but that's just my guess, also there's a theory that some people have that she might have commited suicide because in Japan sometimes they said that someone fell down the stairs when they commited suicide, however i don't believe that, based on Oda's words, the creator of One Piece, it seems more like it was meant to show Zoro a harsh truth, that "no matter how talented you are, how much dedication you put into something or how much you work for a goal, things can always change from one moment to the other, so nothing must be taken for granted"
You shouldn’t be telling this so soon. How the show portrays her death being so vague is leading towards what Zoro will face in the next ss, just like in anime. Now you just ruined the vibe.
They will just buff up the actor for Koby a bit but it’s not going to be anime level proportions, they didn’t with Garp and Arlong. Hi fellows! I'm just loving your reactions. And well, cutting short anime and manga are more "wacky and goofy" blending humour with face expressions. Besides the story are not so summarized like is in Live Action, so have a bit more characters and developments. The Kuina issue is not a spoiler and is a definitive fact. Straight to manga she dies in an accident falling the stairs and her body is shown at the ground with a handkerchief covering her eyes and a blanket covering her legs. That sword master is her father and he own the dojo. He talks about the fragility of life with Zoro to bring him out of his despair (Zoro got really upset about Kuina death). In the anime there were a discussion between Kuina and her father about the dojo inhertance (and the problem of she be a woman - they were a patriarcal society). Also in anime the accident in wich she dies was because she was going to sharpen her sword. Both these informations created an especulation about her death by suicide. But the author already denied these rumours. Obviously he would not aboard teen suicide at the beggining of his work, and naturally the value of the Kuina promisse to Zoro would be ruined.
