Hello, This particular radio, the RA4 (RA3 as well, Uconnect 3 8.4") is compatible with 2013-2017 RAM 1500's, 2500's+. If your RAM is 2013-2017 then you will have no issues with the camera populating on the 8.4" as long as the camera showing on your factory radio and not in the mirror. If your RAM is a 2018, or 2019+ Classic (pointing this out because you mentioned Classic), this radio is not recommended as it will persistently have an error message stating "Vehicle Phone needs assistance Please see your Dealer" regardless if you have our C-911 override cable that prevents that message (That cable only works for 2013-2017 RAM trucks). I think you might be commenting on the wrong video. This radio upgrade doesn't require replacing the USB hub. Any radio upgrade that has the Apple Carplay feature will require the USB hub to be replaced, because the new USB hub has a verification chip in it that tells the radio you're plugging in an iPhone for Carplay. If you're referring to the Uconnect 5 UBD, we will have the USB function fixed soon. But I do not think that the factory hub would be recognized as well, as the UBD has different coding for USB data transfer than every other Uconnect radio we've worked with so far, and retrofitting the UBD has indeed been challenging. We've come a long way from launch, and we hope to have everything working ASAP!

This video is a little old. We've actually revised the volume knob wiring where it doesn't use a T harness anymore. It just plugs as a passthrough to your HVAC controls now. However, I must say that I do not think this will work properly for a 2018 RAM nor 2019+ RAM Classics. We don't put the RA4 radio into those years because those vehicles changed over to the Uconnect 4. It's hard to figure out, but the RA4 will always throw the "vehicle phone needs assistance" error message, even with the C-911 cable we provide with the RA4, when this is installed in the previously mentioned vehicles. This radio upgrade only plays nice in 2013-2017 RAM trucks. With that being said, the volume knob should work, but we haven't tested it on 2018+.
You will be able to stream audio via Bluetooth. But If your vehicle is not equipped with Uconnect, you would need additional hardware to utilize the hands free calling functionality.
