“Naturalistic” is the perfect term for the dialogue in this version! I loooooooved how much like real life it felt! I totally agree that this version gets Laurie just right! I forgive Timothy Chalomeet not having the exact look I wanted 😂 He does get that introverted while also being effervescent at the same time quality. The first time he gets to see them as a family 😍 I also agree that his first meeting with Jo was like meeting your best friend. Also loved how Beth was more bold when she was just with her sisters. This film can’t get on dvd fast enough!
I agree! I can hardly wait to own it and watch it again and again! Yes, I loved how Beth was bolder with her sisters, than in public. I'm so glad you enjoyed it too!
I adore your 90s look! You can pull off anything!!! And I know I have said this before but I adore your excitement and enthusiasm when you talk about books you love! I’m not going to listen to far! I don’t want spoilers! But love this videos :)
Good grief, this movie is amazing! It felt a lot more cohesive to me than most other versions I've seen. I loved how realistic the sibling relationships are, and it has my favourite Little Women cast.
I also have only seen the 2017 version of Little Women. And this 2019 version is my absolute favorite! I loved it. I never thought that Jo and Laurie should end up together and this version just confirmed it for me.
I loved how they did the ending very open ended. And I loved Jo and the professor scenes because it showed that if she did want to marry she would have done it with someone that was more like herself. That scene when the professor tells Jo that he also tends to burn his clothes was so perfect. But I loved the whole thing! Also should I watch the 1994 version of Little Women ?
Yes, I loved that scene! I'd totally recommend watching the 1994 version. I don't love it as much as the 2019 one, but it was always a favourite movie growing up.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this! I've seen the trailers and was skeptical. (Wynonna Ryder's version is my favorite.) I'll have to go see it! ❤

It was so wonderful watching this with you and Sarah! Sorry for bawling through so much of it.... It was absolutely incredible!!
It was a natural response 😆 I'm so glad we got to see it together too!

Thanks so much! Yes, good idea to stop early on in the video so you're not spoiled. I hope you love the movie if you end up seeing it!

Awesome video! Also should I read Anne of Green Gables? I already saw AnnE with an E on Netflix and I loved it!
I adore Anne of Green Gable and definitely recommend you read them!
I will definitely watch the film.
Your looks dashing😘
Thanks so much! I hope you love the movie too!
Happy new year and omg I can’t wait to see the film 🎥 😊
Have you seen it yet? It is such a beautiful film!
Meghan Hanet I cant see the film due to my chronic pain will wait till it’s out on dvd
Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that. It'll be worth the wait, and you won't have to hide any sniffling when you watch it❤

It's my favourite Little Women cast too, and it IS so cohesive. That's a good way of describing it!
@@meghanthestorygirl4581 thanks!

Agreed! Out of all the versions I've seen I'd have to say that this is my favourite!
I totally agree with you about this version!
I hadn’t planned on seeing this, but I think you’ve just convinced me, sounds amazing!
YES! It's amazing! (Although, hopefully I haven't raised your expectations too high 😂)

Thanks! Yes, I've always loved the Winona Ryder version, but I loved this one even more!
Should I read the book Little Women?
I love the book so I'd definitely recommend it!
I also really liked this Laurie! My biggest complaint was Marmee, though. She does not fit my vision of Marmee. I really want to see the movie again!
Me too! My vision of Marmee is pretty flexible, but I absolutely love Emily Watson's Marmee in the 2017 version. They give her a lot more screen time.
Meghan Hanet Emily Watson definitely seemed much more like the wise, warm, and non-frivolous Marmee of the book!
