As a more casual player, I had a ton of fun with Wrecked's gameplay. The cars and fists were both really fun and chaotic. Combine that with a great theme, huge map changes, a really solid battle pass, and Reload, and Wrecked is like a 9 or 10 out of 10 for me.
what was bad in wrecked (bad as a game design, not based off of something else) is that they were basically 2 outcomes. either you were ramming with cars or you were the one getting rammed.
All of the mythics in each chapter were extremely OP. Cars, fists, jetpacks, avatar stuff, all INSANELY overflowed. Just for little Timmys to feel good about themselves
5 was good, the bullet drop and graphics being washed in its colors were the only real issues. Honestly every chapter has had good parts. I’d say chapter 5 was better than 4 with the map. 5 had biome diversity and I like that so much.
Facts man. Ch5 was a corporate mess. Was chapter 5 the worst chapter? Yes. Yes it was. In my opinion, I am just so darn thankful we are back on my favorite map, season, and chapter. Chapter 2 Season 2. I truly hate everything Chapter 5 changed regarding Fortnite's identity, and it made the game depressing and unfun. Chapter 2 was vibrant, well made, classic, and beautiful in terms of how you can just hop on with friends into a nice map with a balanced meta. If chapter 6 is another giant corporate experiment, I am quitting Fortnite until they fix it. I want Fortnite back for it's character.
100% agree with this. Nowadays it feels like all the newer players will tolerate anything, saying it was just nostalgia, therefore enabling Epic to ignore obvious issues with the game, continuing the downward spiral.
@@andraw4002 Well if you think so. For me chapter 1 map hit different. A perfect mixture of biomes and I think season 7 was the best map we have ever had. Titled was still there, paradise palms, Lazy links, salty springs, dusty divot, I think it was leaky lake that season but I could be wrong. It gives me so much nostalgia
@@StanleyMorgan-t9r I agree with you, it did. I just think you're not giving Chapter 2 enough credit for it serving more as a continuation to Chapter 1, whereas in more recent years, each chapter just feels like a sequel with progressively more realistic graphics, and Fortnite's original appeal gradually fading away.
Yeah. At least ch3 and 4 had objective positives that were good enough to make them generally well-liked. For every positive ch5 had there are 2+ negatives.
@@Geekmunks ik that that is your opinion but if you haven’t really enjoyed the game for the past 3 years then maybe you should consider switching to a different game or only playing ch1 when it comes out since I highly doubt that Epic will go back to pre-ch3 gameplay on main br after this throwback season.
So I liked it, I don't get annoyed easily, nothing irritates me, but this realistic map, especially in the first season, was a pain in the ass , realistic locations with a Cartoon graphic trying to be realistic, it was sooo weird, and on top of that it was just rich houses and rich cities, if it weren't for the other modes, I wouldn't even play much
I honestly thought it was really bad. At the same time as chapter 5 i was checking out creative a lot more, as well as reload, EZFN, and rewind royale because i just was not having fun in BR. The new movement changes suck and I hate that the stats are still not back to normal lol. I could care less about the animations but its so weird how when i play in creative maps my movement can feel completely different from in BR
I didnt even get to level 80 that season, game failed to realise people HAVE JOBS and other things to do not everyone who plays plays 24/7 Havent bought a battlepass since then, so salty about that crap
I personally think season 1 did mods okay, because there were plenty of ways to access the benches. But season 2 just made them so much rarer with only loot island and bunkers having them.
Personally I enjoyed the seasons except 1, but hated bullet drop and the movement changes. The following seasons were nice to play until they back track and nerfed everything. If the seasons is about cars, buy in and go all out. I had fun with the cars until I couldn’t even use them anymore and I avoided ranked bc I was having fun.
Honestly, Season 3 had absolutely amazing loot… it’s just that they decided… hey, why not bring back fun weapons like the Hand Cannon and Combat shotgun… in the car season? The Boss medallions in Season 3 are also just personal favorite ngl. They absolutely slapped.
@@bowhunter8532I prefer to get beamed out of the sky than to have guns that shoot bullets like they’re traveling in mud. It made the game feel much less satisfying to play and broke the assault rifle vs sniper rifle balance dynamic since assault rifles can’t travel instantly to punish peaking snipers. Notice how every time a sniper was in the lootpool this chapter that it was one of, if not the most powerful weapon in the entire season. It was so bad that they did away with snipers entirely in s4 when they realized that they can’t keep them balanced without major changes that would go against their design philosophy or switching back to hitscan.
I liked this chapter, not more than chapter 4, but i enjoyed it. Bullet drop was cool at first, but since reload ive hated it. Mods were also cool at first, then they made the mod benches rare and sucked the fun out of it. I generally liked all the mythics.(Magneto gauntlets and hades chains especially) Great weapons like the ranger pistol and gatekeeper shotgun. But they also had the balls to remove war machines jetpack, i will never miss the full autoshotgun, and the train was so underbaked. My complaint with fortnite anymore is the lack of upgrade skins like Drift or Lynx. The battlepasses had awesome skins, but each pass felt the same, two pages for each skin. And personally ill forever hold a grudge for not giving Doom super styles. The story had some neat parts though. Even if the end was kinda anticlimactic. My favorite part was walking up to Doom's mask as Drift after the fight and tagging it like the Durr burger in og season 5, only to see a player in Dooms skin walk up beside me, double take, then try to kill me. Still by next chapter ill prolly be missing a bunch of stuff and poi's, even if i can hardly name any off the top of my head. 6.5 out of 11.
Everything was just so unbalanced this ENTIRE chapter either you had something that was unusable hot garbage and did no damage like the pump shotgun and conbat shotgun or if it wasnt underpowered it was overpowered and almost unplayable against. Like every item they added this chapter either was useless or yiu needed it there was no balance this chapter. Even the jetpack was still op at the end but they wanted to make it unusable and almost did. I dont even want to speak on chapter 5 season 3
I started playing the game this chapter in season one and personally I loved myths and mortals because that when I convinced all my friends to start playing and we had so much fun together.
I started playing this game in ch 5 and I loved it! During this chapter I have realy struggled to enjoy it. I have found my stride after several weeks but I'm really interested to try and understand why this season gets so much hate.
I started playing Fortnite during this chapter and Season 1 was some of the most fun I’ve ever had playing a video game. I don’t think that the seasons were bad, I think people just expected more of the same thing from chapters 1 and 2
I don't get why people were mad about water bending, the Thunder SMG with the muzzle break and hipfire laser does the exact same thing, and does it faster.
I feel like I’m one of the 5 people that actually had fun the whole chapter, plus we got some LEGENDARY collabs during Ch 5, watch in a year people will be saying we didn’t appreciate that chapter enough 😅😂
Fortnite is just going to keep getting worse and worse. They only do 4 seasons per chapter. They have been doing that ever since Donald mustard quit. And they are just going to keep doing the same thing. Like what’s the point of even playing. It’s basically like Starting a new chapter, have 4 seasons, have a mid ahh live event, and start a new chapter, and repeat like Wth.
Season 2 was my favorite season of this character Simply for the meta, story, and map I played almost every day of the season and still didn’t get level 200
I enjoyed Chapter 5 a ton, but I will admit that the movement was a bit too much. Obviously, I know unique movement in gaming is what keeps the experience enjoyable (hell, I play FFXIV and by far my most favorite classes are those with gap closers like Dark Knight and Samurai. If you can time it right, you can even partially negate a knock back attack). The bullet drop was definitely a more annoying aspect though. As it made sniper battles a frustrating occurrence when they're primarily meant to be fun in my opinion. In this case, it made them more awkward and a battle of who runs out of ammo the quickest. It's why I loved the Huntress DMR. It felt more fun to use and had the added bonus of a higher ammo count per magazine. I haven't played much of this current season (only played a few matches last night since FFXIV was down for maintenance), but we did have a bit of fun in those matches. Even referenced Jurassic Park 2 when my friend got killed in a small corn field
@@tasha4400 You think I actually watched the video its yet another damn rant video to get VIEWS I'm not giving views to a someone ranting instead of quitting the game
I hadn't played Fortnite from mid 2018 until August of 2024. I got introduced to Chapter 5 season 4. It was fun, and I really enjoyed the variety of the map. I was glad they vaulted the jetpack which made it more enjoyable. Chapter 2 remix has been a lot of fun, although the map isn't as good as the previous season, bc it does not have the variety
I know i'm going to be alone on this, but chapter5 was my first time playing fortnite. My friend finally got a console and he wanted to play. I enjoyed chapter 5 so much and now season2 reloaded feels so weird to me.
The only reason I quit fortnight for a season is because it took like half of the map out I mean look at season two and look at season three desert biome literally took out half of the old map
I actually liked chapter 5 overall. Season 1 was fun with the snipers. People complained about them when they got sniped but that same person loved sniping themselves. I liked the addition of bullet drop. I didn't get beamed out of the sky or when rotating anymore. Season 2 was a ton of fun with the dash medallion and Zeus medallion. The chain of hades was easy to counter with the gatekeeper. I shit on so many people that were using the chains, it was never an issue. If you had trouble against them it was a skill issue. Water bending was really annoying but overall the season was fun. Season 3 was horrible at first with the vehicles but once they brought in EMPs, it was fine. You didn't even mention EMPs so I'm guess you quit before they brought them in. It was so fun to double EMP a car and shit on all the rats coming out of the car. I loved the nitro and the nitro fists for movement. I never used the fists to ground pound someone. Season 4 really sucked if you didn't have a jetpack. You were simply screwed if you didn't have one.
I loved C5S1 so much, even more than OG Season imo. The map was beautiful with the snow, the mythical, the medallions, ranked was fun. C5S2 kinda had a drop off for me but I still played often. C5S3 ruined it for me. I hated it to the point where I didn’t even play it for a month (3 weeks were when I didn’t have internet or power but still counts). C5S4 was mid. Didn’t enjoy it and the items weren’t that good either. I only liked the jet packs but they vaulted those. Worst weapons this chapter was the hammer they never changed the pump damage or the actual pump in general, which sucks. Also, you mentioned some mobility (air bending) and you said comp players thought it was broken, but it was never in comp, only waterbending was.
Yeah i agree with Chapter 5 Season 1,3,4. Season 3 was the worst thing ever. People just spam the turrets and making the game not fun. Well for Season 4, it was much better than Season 3 but still not that good. I only loved the Iron Man collab, and all the other things were boring. But i don't know why people hate Season 2, it was great for me.
This was my first Fortnite chapter and I enjoyed it. It felt different to any other game. I don't have the experience with other chapters but I think it was very fun. I do think they could have done better with themes and the vibe for the later seasons but at rhe end of the day I want to have fun while playing my game after work
Ch5 Sn 1 was an awesome first season, great TMNT collab and great items added mods were good because they were available everywhere for the most part, Szn 2 was good as well, good theme, unique items that matched the theme, The Avatar event did dampen it for me however, it didn't match the theme, Szn 3 was super fun the first few weeks then got ruined by the nerfs and they threw the theme to the side because people complained so much. Szn 4 was a great marvel season with good content added every update, the only thing I really hated was the hover jets, should have been nerfed once and then left it be. This Chapter wasn't even close to bad, yes some of the overall changes in the game like rarity removal locker changes, etc. were bad, that doesn't have anything to do with the actual seasons and their gameplay. So overall Fortnite made some poor changes but also gave us some really fun seasons in my opinion
Imma be honest having to worry about a car gunning me down and hiding scared until I find the one weapon that was supposed to counter it but didn’t really do anything to it wasn’t fun at all, I only felt safe when I got my hands on the magneto mythic which bounces the care away when blocking them running into me, I remember this one clip where someone ran into a rift and they got chased into it with someone in a car and the car landed on them and deleted em I would have uninstalled
What happened to chp 5 is that we came off the most popular season in years (season og) so all the hype face planted whenever the og players said im out. Then season 2 came out half baked and just dragged on. Then S3 came out and added the dreaded car mods and infinite ammo medallion. Finally, Season 4 was really fun at first but then they didn't update anything, the story was hard to follow if you even could, and it was just a mediocre season. Side note: I don't think its good that they are sort of relying on peoples nostalgia each November to get more players in.
only people who are trash liked chaper 5 last season it was ass it took no skill 90 percent of the time i wouldn't even die to a gun it would be nitro first the jetpack thing with bombs the auto turrent was op shit was a garbage
2:40 I’m going to be honest I played basically every season of chapter 5 and used the train a lot and I didn’t noticed anything bad with it other than it being really gimmicky and loot sucking after the first zone
Chapter 5 season 4 was the worst season in the first 2 weeks. Shield spray was the most annoying part, 60 damage no cooldown AND ricochet. The smg was a bit annoying, same with gatekeeper. Otherwise I didn't play a whole lot during chapter 5 since it was kinda boring.
Only season I hated was season 3, worst season I've ever played. Battlepass was cool but having 6 people driving around in circles around you is just pathetic. It's a battle royale game not twisted metal. Reload was its saving grace.
13:10 so true, at the beggining of fortnitemares i was rocking a chainsaw, gold gatekeeper with the best attachments and a gold striker ar with the best attachment+2 heals (in zero build). i have 15 kills, popping off, then, last guy has a jetpack and some shitass gun, flies up above me, starts shooting with 15% accuracy, killing me in the end since aiming up and keeping track of the enemy is virtually impossible and im in zb
For me chapter 5 was underused, all the season had great themes that just we saw the surface, no Mad Max, nearly the minimum mythology characters and items, Marvel was just weapon oriented instead power oriented... for me was disappointing for the unfullfilled potential and because they seem to be more interested in made it realistic than made it fun.
I wish season 3 would have been done better since it was car themed and I like cars, but it was ruined and the only saving grace for me was reload and fallout collab
Didn't mention the TMNT collab, forgot to mention the suitcase turret and EMP camo, Metallica collab, the Doom Island and becoming OP Dr. Doom himself, among other things. I really liked Chapter 5 overall. Too bad your video has no in gameplay footage of the Ch5 map instead of Ch2 Remix. You're welcome to use any videos I have of Ch5 off my channel. P.S. Nitrofists were no infallible. I could take them out without using them myself.
Ch5 Season 1 lasted way too long which was my biggest issue with it, Season 2 and 3 were just bad imo and season 4 was fun. Chapter 3 Season 3 was my all time favorite though, loved that season.

FINALLY SOMEONE AGREES LIKE OML YOURE SO REAL
Frfr
what was bad in wrecked (bad as a game design, not based off of something else) is that they were basically 2 outcomes. either you were ramming with cars or you were the one getting rammed.
I agree with you. It was fun for me meanwhile people were hating left and right 🫠
All of the mythics in each chapter were extremely OP.
Cars, fists, jetpacks, avatar stuff, all INSANELY overflowed. Just for little Timmys to feel good about themselves
Removed hitscan made the terrible multiverse had terrible cringey collabs, yep it 100% ruined fortnite
I hate chapter 5 for ruining the item shop
ONG nothing changes anymore
@ LITERALLY LEGO RUINED EVERYTHING I SWEAR.
The issue with Season 1 as well was that barely anything happened in it. Just a few weapons and the TMNT event.
Chapter 5 has been a really good chapter personally and the daily player count was much higher than chapters 3 and 4.
I got into fortnite because of the incredible live events that shift the map in real time, not these disney-advised glorified advertisments.
Fortnights like a hotdog it’s not good without mustard
5 was good, the bullet drop and graphics being washed in its colors were the only real issues. Honestly every chapter has had good parts. I’d say chapter 5 was better than 4 with the map. 5 had biome diversity and I like that so much.
0:21 YES IT WAS!!!!!!
It was actually pretty good
im biased because chapter 5 season 4 was ny first chapter
FAVOURITE MAP?!?!? It’s not even comparable to the chapter 1 map
100% agree with this. Nowadays it feels like all the newer players will tolerate anything, saying it was just nostalgia, therefore enabling Epic to ignore obvious issues with the game, continuing the downward spiral.
@@StanleyMorgan-t9r It is. I think Chapter 2 and 1 are pretty comparable.
The fact that this is even being debated is proof enough that this was objectively the worst chapter we have ever gotten
K we can agree that chp 5 season 1 was the best one, in my opinion it was perfect
@ c5s1 was mid
Yeah. At least ch3 and 4 had objective positives that were good enough to make them generally well-liked. For every positive ch5 had there are 2+ negatives.
@ i didnt like chapter 4 at all and chapter 3 was really mid after the first season
The stats are back to normal, you’re just tweaking.
I didnt even get to level 80 that season, game failed to realise people HAVE JOBS and other things to do not everyone who plays plays 24/7
Havent bought a battlepass since then, so salty about that crap
From just reading the thumbnail, YES
I personally think season 1 did mods okay, because there were plenty of ways to access the benches. But season 2 just made them so much rarer with only loot island and bunkers having them.
I agree season 1 had them very much so available
This was easily the worst chapter yet.
Bullet drop? Just admit you can't lead your shots, hitscan is a crutch for poor aim at a distance
Chapter 5 brought me back and it was a blast
agree, had so much fun playing with my friends
Reload is great. But holy fuck the loot pool.
The loot pool is awesome, but because of how crazy the game mode is really hard to learn the weapons.
Bullet drop alone was what broke this chapter for me
Why is that? Before it was annoying getting beamed out of the sky or running to make a simple rotate.
Just say you don't know how to lead your shots bro
Would you rather have to get lucky too hit your shots or bullet drop
@@Logandoesstuff-b3if you full-auto your shots with hitscan, you’re using hitscan guns incorrectly. Learn about first-shot accuracy and tap-firing.
I liked this chapter, not more than chapter 4, but i enjoyed it.
Bullet drop was cool at first, but since reload ive hated it. Mods were also cool at first, then they made the mod benches rare and sucked the fun out of it. I generally liked all the mythics.(Magneto gauntlets and hades chains especially)
Great weapons like the ranger pistol and gatekeeper shotgun.
I used to to be obsessed with this game, but as soon as they released season 2 the game just wasn’t fun anymore😔
Chapter 5 was mid but wasn’t bad. Still the worst chapter in Fortnite
I love the memes u use for transitions bro. Keep up the good videos 👍
I dont even want to speak on chapter 5 season 3
those gauntlets in season 3 would have been perfect for a arcane collab
The entire season of wrecked was me and my friend grabbing nitro fists and screaming "UPPERCUT!" At everyone we see
The realistic theme with mods and new art style ruined it for me, I may as well be playing Warzone with building.
I started playing the game this chapter in season one and personally I loved myths and mortals because that when I convinced all my friends to start playing and we had so much fun together.
The funny thing Chapter 5 was my most played chapter as I was an active player throughout the entire thing
@@itzmaruu11chapter 3 having 4 seasons was always planned before mustard dipped and his explanation why he dipped is very suspicious
The TMNT was the best collab ever!!! The mythics were the funnest thing ever
Season 2 was my favorite season of this character
Simply for the meta, story, and map
I played almost every day of the season and still didn’t get level 200
In the Marvel season, my favorite poi was Mount Olympus.
It had a tone of chests.
It was terrible if you weren't a cheater.
this chapter as a whole legit made me quit playing it was so bland and tried too hard to be realistic
I literally remember my first match of chapter 5 I thought, for whatever reason the auto run button got unbound.
Same
No, but whats annoying is people bitching about Fortnite for VIEWS
Imagine watching the video and complaining instead of moving on with your life
@@tasha4400 You think I actually watched the video its yet another damn rant video to get VIEWS I'm not giving views to a someone ranting instead of quitting the game
Agree on all of this
I started at chapter 2, season 2. But I loved chapter 5. A lot of levellers in the game made everyone rethink how they played.
season 1 was the peak of the chapter it only went downhill from there
I loved C5S1 so much, even more than OG Season imo.
But i don't know why people hate Season 2, it was great for me.
what is your opinion on gyro aim?
Imagine if Chapter 6 was worse than Chapter 5 👀
It could be, glad fortnite OG is being implemented.
Dont say that
@@shevyjohn9308 If epic focuses on hyper mobility and uses projectile bullet drop guns, it could be.
There will never be another Chapter that can physically be worse than Chapter 5
Ain't no way bro said that bullet drop is worse than bloom. Ain't no way bro said Zeus's lightning bolt was "required to win". Like, it was trash bro
For me and my brother's first win of chapter 5, we won because every other team died to storm
No joke, one time I was in a game where there was 9 people (including me) air-bending all at once in the final circle.
This might just be me but I never aimed with shotguns so I never understood why people complained about the scopes until now
Do you open your chests with your mouse wheel?
6:30 u said air bending twice 😭
only people who are trash liked chaper 5 last season it was ass it took no skill 90 percent of the time i wouldn't even die to a gun it would be nitro first the jetpack thing with bombs the auto turrent was op shit was a garbage
Short answer. Technically.
Long answer. It was the worst we’ve had, to a good degree.
2:40 I’m going to be honest I played basically every season of chapter 5 and used the train a lot and I didn’t noticed anything bad with it other than it being really gimmicky and loot sucking after the first zone
I couldn’t even see my vampire skin just because his rarity was gone
Chapter 5 season 4 was the worst season in the first 2 weeks. Shield spray was the most annoying part, 60 damage no cooldown AND ricochet. The smg was a bit annoying, same with gatekeeper. Otherwise I didn't play a whole lot during chapter 5 since it was kinda boring.
It’s getting annoying when people say chapter 5 is the worst when chapter 4 is way worse
Skill based matchmaking has killed online multiplayer games
As a diehard fortnite player, chapter 5 to me was just unplayable, although s4 actually was pretty decent
cant tell but something tells me caspy likes reload
Only season I hated was season 3, worst season I've ever played. Battlepass was cool but having 6 people driving around in circles around you is just pathetic. It's a battle royale game not twisted metal. Reload was its saving grace.
For a chapter that had such a strong start, the downfall is insane.
like how how can u sit there and defend this chapter it's so shit 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Lmao y’all hate to much 😂😂😂 chapter 4 is my personal favorite compared to 5 but still this chapter wasn’t even that bad 🤷♂️
You know that not every doctor doom adaptation is terrible, right?
I can admit I hate gimmicks just as much as anyone, but I give credit to EG for trying to innovate.
Ch5 Season 1 lasted way too long which was my biggest issue with it, Season 2 and 3 were just bad imo and season 4 was fun. Chapter 3 Season 3 was my all time favorite though, loved that season.
Completely awful chapter. Shotguns did no damage and as always there were broken items that eat through builds. Epic hates builds.
Based epic. I also hate builds.
“shotguns do no damage” no bro, you just have bad aim the shotguns in chapter 5 were amazing
@ don’t talk if you don’t understand how pellet spread and client afterimage works.
You sure?Every other shotgun besides the pump were either alright or pretty damn good(for me).
Tbh Chapter 5 was one of my more enjoyable season, never was a fan of hit scan, and hitting sniper headshot with bullet drop always felt awesome lol.
I had this weird idea bout what if epic games made jetpack not an item but a default movement ability just for season 4?
