    I’ve never used glass. Always aluminum oxide. I’m going to empty mine and try another abrasive. That said. This is a huge upgrade from my cabinet. Very nice Phillip.

      Thank you Chad. It’s a pretty sweet cabinet. 🔥👍🏼🔥
      I have a bag of Al Ox here if I need it for a heavier job. What I am learning, like sand paper, it’s good to have different “grits” around. The glass bead has taken everything I’ve thrown at it so far. It did a great job on some thin aluminum I had here. Didn’t distort or pit the hell out of the piece. So far so good but I’m sure like anything else there will be a bit of a learning curve. 😉

    Great job, machine seems work great. Getting rid of dust is main thing. The pattern on the spray has got me wondering. . Seemed really small, like should have blown the battery tray out on both sides in about 4 minutes . Maybe it was my setup. A man who use to blast carnival equipment showed me how build it. Been 20 years now. Great job. I may get one. Can’t bring myself to buy harbor freight. No offense to anyone (except harbor freight ). Yes they got lifetime replacement. If I was the type who does t mind driving 50 miles to trade my tool in every week or every other week

      Can’t go wrong with the B60. It’s been running great zero issues and runs at 7 cfm @ 90 psi. Any reasonable sized compressor will be up to the challenge. It would be an excellent addition hooked to your new air system. 🔥👍🏼🔥

    Do you have a video on the scroll? Looking to purchase both these items this black friday, When blasting bigger pieces does the scroll ever get down below the PSI you blast at? I'm use to my 30gal 2 cylinder husky compressor and I'm always playing the waiting game than letting it cool off and repeat. Hoping with this setup i can just blast all day. Awesome videos man!

    • @HouseofChop
      @HouseofChop  5 лет назад

      Thank you! I really appreciate the feedback 🙌🏼🙇🏻
      I don’t have a video on the scroll compressor but in the two years I’ve owned it it’s been absolutely rock solid. I’ve never had any issues and it’s always been up to the challenge.
      As far as the blasting I’ve used it for some long sessions and the compressor just kept chugging along and kept up. It will drop a bit below ideal pressure at times if you’re really in the trigger for a long time but it never overheats due to its 100% duty cycle.
      Most times the brief pauses during the blasting process, resituating parts, or getting a different hold will keep it at ideal pressure. It outputs a boatload of air fast for its size.

      @@HouseofChop Do you think if you had like a bonus reservoir tank (I already have one on my current compressor) it would have a less of an issue with the occasional drop? I'm really getting close to pulling the trigger on one of the QST compressors. Thanks!

    • @HouseofChop
      @HouseofChop  2 года назад

      @@CraftwerksMC You can never go wrong with a extra tank. If I had the room I’d have one. The QST will have no issue filling it and anything else. It’s a pretty mean machine for its size.

    Would I be able to use my new b60 cabinet WITHOUT a dust collection system?
    Thanks

    • @HouseofChop
      @HouseofChop  3 года назад

      Absolutely, but understand what the dust collector is doing is keeping your vision clear while you blast. So you would probably be doing a whole lot of stopping and starting. For the money some kind of dust collection would improve your day and save some time. Even if you just hooked up a shop vac you’d be WAAAAAAY ahead of the game.

    Quick question sir. I purchased the Eastwood B60 blast cabinet, however it was pretty damaged when I got it had to send it back for a replacement got it and it was still a bit damage but assembled it anyways. I installed the Eastwood dust collector same location you did fired it up yesterday there so much pressure in the cabinet it sucks the walls of the cabinet in and unlatches the lid, and while your blasting it has dust go everywhere. any ideas of what could be causing this issue?

    • @HouseofChop
      @HouseofChop  4 года назад +1

      That sucks you had all those issues in shipping.
      That dust collector really runs hard. You need to get more air into the cabinet to balance out the pressures a bit. I have the inlet ports on the back right near the top as you look into the cabinet wide open. Give that a shot. If it doesn’t solve your problem you may want to reach out to Eastwood and tell them what you have going on. Their customer service has always been top notch when I’ve dealt with them. I bet they’ve see it before and might have some insights.
