“A rapper-ish?!” Bro that’s Will Smith. He sold 50 MILLION RECORDS. That’s before the internet based music scene made selling music easier then selling rice to an Indian restaurant. Oh, and he won FOUR Grammys and was nominated for another eight. He wasn’t a “rapper-ish”, he was a bona fide rap STAR. He was more successful than about 97% of all rappers in history. He’s listed at 21 on the top 25 best selling rappers of all time on music grotto and the 12 best based on Grammys won. The only reason he doesn’t generally have the same status as a rapper as people like Nas, Eminem, Joyner Lucas etc is because he was successful in the 90’s. Which I argue was harder because it wasn’t a mainstream genre and it was harder to sell music.
Your record sales figures were based on JUST how many physical copies people actually went out to a shop and bought them.
Also Will Smith is one of the best actors in history and by far the best black actor (apart from Denzel Washington) in history. You should definitely do more or his films. I Am Legend is a great movie. Focus is a good psychological thriller also. Seven pounds is good. Also The Pursuit of Happiness is incredible. You can’t be a movie reactor and not watch that one. The only reason I’ve never done it is because I’ve already seen it….

Kevin James also starred on a pretty big network TV show, The King of Queens, so I’m surprised James hadn’t heard of him.
This is exactly the job I could have seen Will Smith actually doing in after the Fresh Prince if the rap thing didn't work out.

I cannot fathom someone's first Will Smith movie being Hitch. That's wild man. Save Independence Day for July, but you definitely need to put something like Men in Black up on the top of your list.

I am surprised this movie was picked. I don’t really hear people talking about it. But I liked it. Will Smith brings incredible energy to his roles. In case nobody told you the movie they were showing was Jerry Maguire (1996). That was a good movie. Cuba Gooding Jr. won an Academy award for his role.
So, I was in rehab with a roommate that liked having movies on in the background. He chose the movie hitch, and having seen it at least 4 times a day, for over a month I can tell you this film is near perfect as a movie. You can watch from any point and still feel engrossed, no matter how much you've seen it.

Kevin James is not part of the original Sandler group, but he has become one and starred with Sandler in I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. Sandler produced the Kevin James vehicle Here Comes The Boom - the best MMA movie ever. (Also stars Henry Winkler).

Ok, if you've never seen Independence Day with Will Smith it's a must!!
Trust me when I say this, dating is much much muuuuch harder for men. Approaching people in public about 7 years ago, I used to to get rejected so much and I wasn't being creepy or cheesy. Of course some experiences were just naturally more awkward. But nowadays, you have to worry about someone freaking out and filming you if you come over and say hi.
I don't usually like rom coms, but this one is fun =)
Be curious to see this same concept done for gay folks.
