Also let’s hear it for Jerry. He may have been a bit awkward, and wasn’t as much as fun as Fletcher, but he was a genuinely good guy. He dealt with the loss with dignity and understanding. I always give him credit for his behaviour throughout the movie.

For some reason the when Audrey is describing Jerry saying "just because he's a little bit..." And he shouts "..Magoo!" Has me crying every time! 🤣🤣🤣

fun fact. at the airport scene, when fletcher is on the stretcher. You can see a fireman on a radio in the crowd. The fireman is Jim Carey. he was an extra in his own movie

The gorgeous and talented Jennifer Tilly is one of my all time crushes, in large part to how fantastic she looks in Liar Liar. She also has a very sultry and iconic voice (and does some voice acting work for Family Guy). For more of her movies - Bound 1996 (crime thriller), House Arrest 1996 (family movie), Goosed 1999 (comedy), and she's been the best part of the Child's Play horror series since Bride of Chucky 1998
My favorite line of hers is from the movie “Let It Ride” when Richard Dreyfus says “those are nice legs” and she says in that amazing voice, “Yeah, they go all the way from my a$$ to the floor.” 😂
@@heidi_d I haven't seen that one! I love Richard Dreyfuss! And yes, Jennifer Tilly has an absolutely iconic voice. It's probably her biggest trademark. ❤
One of my favorite pieces of movie trivia. After the plane stops and it does a sweep across the tarmac with the police barrier, Jim Carrey is in the crowd dressed as his character Fire Marshal Bill from the show In Loving Color.

The Truman Show is a classic Jim Carrey movie! It's a drama movie.
It is truly fantastic.
He definitely needs to watch it.
'The Truman Show' is one of the saddest movies I've ever seen, to this day. The idea that everyone you've ever known, everyone you've ever loved, has never actually loved you, has been lying to you, and what's worse: has been being paid to pretend to care about you, is one of the most heartbreaking concepts I can ever imagine. I think it hit me extra hard because one of my recurring nightmares as a kid was that I'd wake up to find my parents being viciously mean to me, then telling me they don't love me, that they've never loved me, and sometimes telling me to leave or kicking me out of the house. Watching this as a young teen was like watching a horror movie, tailor-made just for me. I've seen a few reactions to this movie, and I haven't seen anyone grasp the unbearable grief Truman must've felt once he found out his whole life was a lie. It's gut-wrenching.
Jennifer Tilly is an actress who got into poker. It's kind of fun seeing it perceived the other way lol
It's like when some reactors watch Back to the Future and go "Wait Ronald Regan was an actor?"
I had no idea she played poker so I learned something new.
"THE PEN IS BLUE, THE PEN IS BLUE, THE GODDAMN PEN IS BLUE!!!" So many funny lines in this, and so quote worthy. Probably second only to Ace Venture Pet Detective. Glad you reacting to this, you should do Ace Venture next.
Nobody else does physical comedy like Jim. One of a kind. Hopefully he gets back into doing wacky fun movies again. The world could definitely use some laughs.

Jim is great. Since Christmas is right around the corner, he did a great job in How the Grinch Stole Christmas too.

I remember that my best friend and I went to go see it when we were in seventh grade. The time slot we tried to go to was sold out, and so we got tickets for the next one. We still had to make a phone call to our parents, just I case.
Couple of tips for your green screen. If you can get further away from the green screen you wont get so much green spill on the edges. Also if you use a rim light to light you from behind it also helps remove the green spill. Finally you can apply your green screen effect twice once to get 95% of the edge removed and then again to fine tune the final edge.
This was one I regularly watched on VHS growing up. Still just as hilarious today. 💕 Never knew that about Jennifer Tilly and poker. How interesting.

You know Jennifer Tilly by default lol. She was great in the Chucky/Childs Play horror franchise. She's also a regular voice actress on Family Guy. She's awesome!
So darn funny! The script for this movie was very highly regarded, as pulling off the dialogue when he can never lie was incredibly impressive (never mind the hysterical performance that would follow).
So glad you finally watched this, this is probably my favorite Jim Carrey movie of all time. He does have many others that will make you cry from laughter IE: Ace Ventura and Ace Ventura when nature calls. With the holiday season in full swing I highly suggest watching his version of the Grinch.
Carey Elwes played the boyfriend, he was Wesley in The princess bride.
You think he was crazy in this one, you just see his performances in the grinch and Ace Ventura pet Detective

Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet (Titanic) starred in Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind. It's a thinker.
The Claw was something Jim’s own dad did with him and I just think that’s all kinds of sweet.

The ONLY actor could play this role is Jim. He is hilarious, but also a great serious actor as well.

The film is dedicated to Jason Bernard (The Judge )who played his last role in this film and shortly after died of a heart attack.

This has been the only film to make me laugh every time. It's the pen scene that gets me. This film would not work without the physical comedy of Jim Carrey to sell the dialogue.

Sadly, Jason Bernard (the judge) passed away from a heart attack soon after finishing filming.
That Really Big Plane is Jim Carey's personal plane. it appears in every one of his movies.

Jim Carrey's early slapstick work was fun for me in my teen and early 20's years. I like though, that his acting evolved and broadened with age, as I aged. If you get an opportunity, please watch and react to Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It's not what you'd expect from Jim. It's also probably a top 20 all time favorite movie in my personal list. I cannot recommend this enough (without paying to do so, and I'm kind of broke right now, otherwise I would).
Now u have to see Jim Carrey as Ace Ventura.

I love this movie. Jim Carrey also made some dramatic sci-fi films that definitely deserve viewing. Those being The Truman Show and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Jennifer Tilly is also known for Bound (1996) and Bride of Chucky (1998). Her sister Meg is known for The Big Chill (1983), a Boomer classic that featured Kevin Costner as a corpse being dressed for its funeral, but we never see his face. All his other scenes were cut from the final film, and the director felt so bad about that that he cast Costner in his next movie, the Western, Silverado (1985). The Big Chill was so chock full of classic Boomer music that its soundtrack was split into two full albums. I really recommend it and think you'll like it. It starred Glenn Close (Air Force One, Hook, Fatal Attraction, The World According To Garp), William Hurt (Body Heat, Children of a Lesser God, Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Doctor, Broadcast News, Altered States, and the MCU), Tom Berenger (Major League, Shattered, Betrayed, The Substitute, Platoon, Sniper), Jeff Goldblum (The Fly, Independence Day, Jurassic Park), Kevin Kline (A Fish Called Wanda, Dave), JoBeth Williams (Poltergeist, Teachers), and Mary Kay Place (Captain Ron, and Emmy winner for Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman).
Those end-credit bloopers are fantabulous! In real life, the boy was 9 when the film came out.

I also grew up ' country ' but was also isolated and poorly homeschooled, but I at least had the Library 😍 we'd leave with about 2 -3 milk crates of books ( it was a 45 min drive one way) so I grew up watching old b/w movies thinking they were present and rented everything I could IF we had a working TV. I'm thoroughly enjoying binging you're channel esp making me laugh. This time of year, thanks!

Jennifer Tilly & her sister were in quite a few '80's movies. Think both quit Hollywood, but don't know why? Think this was last time I've seen Jennifer in a movie? Can't remember which ones besides "Bride Of Chucky", which is not her best either, but she was in some good movies you might wanna look up? I don't watch poker. I don't even play. But I remember when those celeb games would come on cable yrs ago & It was great!

You may wanna think exclives & ask suggestions, cause shows like Saturday Night Live are where a lot of these actors came from & they all promoted their movies there. Will make you appreciate your journey even more. Then there's The Carol Burnett Show, & on & on... Just a suggestion, friend. You do you. But you should at least watch SNL through '90's if didn't on your own if not on Pareon?

Jennifer Tilly won an Academy Award for Bullets Over Broadway, which is absolutely hilarious and one of my favorite movies ever. Unfortunately it's kind of hard to find, not sure why, but it should definitely be added to your list of movies to watch. ✌🏽

Funny story: when I was a kid, I went with my parents to watch this in the theater. I sat by myself in the row just in front of them, because I was so engrossed in the movie. I was laughing so hard, so loudly the entire time, that I could barely breathe. The whole theater was erupting in laughter, and I thought it was just because of the movie. Well, according to my parents, everyone in the theater was dying laughing at ME LAUGHING, uncontrollably. I had no idea until we walked out and everyone started telling me and my folks how cute it was, and how much fun they had. It's a story my family still talks about to this day. 😂❤
If you like this movie you would also like an Adam Sandler movie called click I high recommend it. I think it is one of Adam Sanders best movies.

I realize it's for comedic effect, but I hate that they treat "not lying" as always being forced to say the most inopportune truth when there are other truthful responses he could give.
Huh? I always thought that is what he actually thinks about the people and situations which is why when he is not able to construct lies he just blurts out his most honest thoughts/opinions. Aka truths to him.
I still love this movie.
