  • D-rings are used for several rigging & recovery purposes. They come in multiple sizes based on pull demands etc. Also serves as an excellent securing point for the winch hook.

Awesome setup! I'm torn on the Ekko, its my first and only choice if I decide too drop the hammer! My concern is always the after care in the event you have some issues! Those are too be expected, having my rig tied up for weeks on end would not be a good scenario!👌
Any feedback would be appreciated! I'm retried and would be fulltime!
    New Sub Also!👍

Hey Steve, Thank you very much for subscribing…. The Ekko’s are great rigs and a pretty solid with the Ford Transit Chasis, accompanied by the Proven 3.5L Ecoboost V6 power plant and 10 speed transmission and the Intelligent AWD system. This was a big contributor on the purchase for us. We have an older sprinter and she is work horse, but she’s also one of the older best engines Mercedes ever produced. When we started looking at the next move for us, I decided Ford. Figured that if I was broke down somewhere, pretty confident that I can find Ford parts as well as a mechanic that can get her up and running quickly. The Mercedes’ on the other hand, too many stories of being stranded, towed 2 states over and waiting for parts from overseas. Now what led us to the Winnebago EKKO, that’s a easy. Loved the layout, real bathroom with a trick hidden door to separate the shower form toilet/sink area. Awesome rear garage with not only a ton of storage and three access points allowing for multiple entry points based on cargo storage sized items, but equally heated and separated from sleeping quarters. Not to mention, true all season, Truma heating system and tankless water heater, lots of amenities, Winnebago USA built, and of course all the other cool additions. Also all items Winnebago creates are stored in there computer system and can be accessed years later and reconstructed as needed. Also, just stands out a little different. We noticed traveling around, the EKKO strikes up good conversation and builds relationships in random towns we travel. Hope this helps, you need anything else, don’t hesitate to ask. Also once your EKKO arrives, send us a photo. Lastly, we are working one some partnerships with a few manufacturers and if all goes well, we will have some affiliate links soon.

@@ekkonesters599 You hit every important issue in regards to The Ekko itself! Ford has a good reputation with the Transit! My concern is Warranty Work regarding Winnabago part in their build! How good are they fulfilling their Warranty and they only warranty for a year! Did you upgrade the Warranty on the Ford and how much does Winnabago charge for an extended Warranty on their portion of the build?
Not sure if you've seen the Company on here that Professionally installs a 2 inch lift designed for The Ekko and have a few functional upgrade!
Thanks for your response and apologies for the interrogation in advance!🇺🇸

@@Steve-yo4ld Lol, no worries on the interrogation, I don’t see it that way, I’m grateful for your interest. I’ll tell you briefly what I know about warranty work as it is now based on my experience. To start we purchased our vehicle out of state only because it was available. Consequence was out of state vehicle tax due to here on purchase. The dealer we purchased from was great about initial warranty issues/recalls right from the begging. For that matter they ordered us some pieces we felt could/should be replaced. In respect to what we experienced through two local dealers regarding potential warranty work, well that was a little annoying. We were told we were not a priority because they, the dealers were taking care of their clients first that purchased from therm. In a nutshell, I contacted Winnebago and they were attentive to supporting me and said that’s not how it works with their relationships. Winnebago has been incredibly helpful and documenting any and all concerns. I was especially impressed with the support I received from Truma.. There was a seal missing from the water heating unit and as a result, the representative actually FaceTimed me and we discovered the issue. So, what that tells me is Winnebago deals with quality companies and products. Like anything there is always room for improvement. But, that can be said across the board. There are ford dealers right now that are not setting appointment times based because they don’t have enough staff. There are supply issues across the board in the automotive industry and I think no matter what you purchase you have to know life’s going to happen when we plan or expect something else. But, again, Winnebago and Ford have not turned their backs on us and we believe they care about their customers and product. Not sure if that helps. I have a neighbor that loss use of their sprinter for several months due to and “unexplained wiring harness issue”. It’s everywhere.
