Some black women are anti white men and cant find the good in any white men. They make sure to let you know all white men arent wonderful even though nobody said all where wonderful in the first place 🤭
True. Met husband 3~ 2010. Engaged 10~ 2010 Married 11~11~11😋😋💜💜 It happens... my dad met my mom when she visited his island on vacation. Married 3 months later. They did divorce, though, but after 18 years. Mt dad remarried a woman he knew 3 weeks... 28 years later, they are still married. My dad says when you know, you know.🤷🏽♀️
Not entirely true, a desperate man can also have a "sense of urgency" about you stemming from his fears of loneliness or his insecurities from society telling him he should bemarried at a certain age... so l feel that statement is a bit misleading as seriousness shouldn't be gauged by urgency, but by time, wisdom, intuition, experience and discernment. Remember the wise saying "Fools rush in where the wise tread carefully." Urgency is merely #speed, what's more important though is #direction... You can have speed/urgency but be going no where fast... So just because a man has a sense of urgency about you doesn't mean he is serious about you, he may very well be trying to urgently get with you to tick a box off of his life/fear checklist or he may just want to hook you quickly before his true unsavoury self shows up. Take your time to know who you let inside your physical, emotional, spiritual and mental space. Don't be too quick to judge #actions of urgency alone without discerning the #intent behind them. A man having a "sense of urgency" about you is but an action, the intention fuelling that action is more important than the action. That's how one avoids being played as a woman, when you connect your intuition to a man's intentions not his actions because though actions speak louder than words, intentions speak louder than actions.
So true! My husband popped the question one year in, married the next year. I knew he was going to ask me to marry me 6 months into our relationship because he made it clear that's what he wanted. Men don't take their time when they're ready
Also notice how carlton referred to himself as a king and acted as if he was the prize, but Cameron emphasised his ability to provide and constantly reassured and complimented lauren.
What I didn’t like was that nobody told her about her wig Like wtf? They were wrong for that 🙄😐 And I know they noticed because he called it out and tried to shade her for it But she didn’t deserve to be treated like that 🙄
There’s a difference between biphobia and not being open and honest with your partner. He clearly hasn’t done enough work on himself to be with someone
I was so disgusted with Carlton. He displayed typical narcissistic behavior blaming Diamond for his own insecurities. The name calling and bashing was so uncalled for. I felt so bad for Diamond. He didn’t represent black men well at all!
It's always the black man who is obssessed with hair in general. A white man will appreciate the hair you have as a bw as long as you take care of it and look good with it.
Gotta give this production five stars for finally casting an attractive articulate and educated non white washed black woman. Honestly Lauren was the most attractive woman on that show by a far distance compared to the other women, had her sh*t together and seemed emotionally stable. Cameron is lucky to have her and I'm glad she has a father in her life that shows her fiancé that he can't just take her home like that but he has to meet certain STANDARDS.
@Barbara Ann because they made us so but when you free yourself from their expectations you start to appreciate it by taking care of it rather than obsessing over it.
She was exclusively dating black men before this experience, and she ended up 32 and single. A common occurence for black women. But then, she expanded her options, and found someone of a different race that she wouldn't normally go for. Now she's happily married. Take note, bw.
Exactly. Lauren’s dating experience is very educational for Black women who like her only date Black men. Hope Black women are learning that you marry who loves you. Or remain alone.
Carlton was dead wrong for not telling her from the beginning. I also felt as her reaction went better than expected. It’s sad she’s still hurt by this experience.
Black women having high HIV rates is a direct reflection of these nasty bi males but we're wrong for not wanting to be with males who make love to the bodies garbage chute?!?! One thing we have to do is stop giving a f about people judging our choices. They can drag me and kiss my ENTIRE patooty while doing it. I refuse to knowingly date a bi male.
Here come the “it’s only a fetish” comments 😂 it’s only a fetish when anyone non black is attracted to black women but never when black men drool over non black women.
I feel like Kelly made a mistake. She turned Kenny down because she wasn’t “infatuated” with him like she was her ex, so she felt like that meant he wasn’t the one. Women will wise up one day, and stop equating intensity of emotion as a prerequisite for a lasting connection. Infatuation fades!
Calexia Black I feel like Kelly is used to wading through dating waves. She’s used to push and pull instead of a strong mutual feeling of connection that stands strong. Kenny was classy from beginning to end. The speech he gave after she left him at the alter & how he conducted himself & spoke on their situation afterwards when the camera crew was egging him on to say something bad (which he didn’t) shows his maturity level. He’s amazing through & through. I know he’ll find someone. Even Kelly’s mom said he was a stand up guy after his speech. Heck I hope to date and marry a man like Kenny & Cameron any day of the week.
My husband is morally and emotionally EXACTLY like Cam. These men exist, ladies. Stop settling for bums, regardless of race. And stop assuming that you need a spouse to be your skintone. That’s painfully outdated.
I’m also happy that Lauren was the fan favorite, she’s what all black women should aspire to be in terms of options. LADIES you have options, Lauren is stunning, sexy, funny, smart and an unambiguous DARK SKINNED black woman. Look at all the rest off the ladies. Jessica was a hot mess, Kelly was homely looking, Amber is lazy and entitled. I have a feeling that if Diamond expanded her options and talked to more non-black men she would have gotten a better match and a similar experience like Lauren’s
Jessica was a mess! She said she wasn't processing Mark's physical appearance... like GIRL make up your mind! She went down the isle JUST to turn him down...
jessica pissed me off how infatuated with barnett because of his basic ass white boy looks even her friends said she falls in love with looks mike dodged a bullet
@@Tamaraudenyefa There are many couples on RUclips that have been together for many years. Adanna&David and Gabe&Babe come to mind but I do think Lauren and Cameron should keep their relationship on the low they shouldn't do RUclips.
Tamara Adeyeba- No they cannot and will never breakup. They must love each other till eternity, have wonderful children’s and have an everlasting, blissful marriage. Please do not project any miserable, negative energy unto this divinely ordained relationship. Please let us celebrate a beautiful marriage were a beautiful, vivacious, educated black woman called Lauren being worshipped and loved by a down to earth, smart, handsome, caring, sweet, kind, gentle, loving, financially successful and highly educated, sexy husband called Cameron. This is the relationship and marriage I aspire to have. And may the universe grant me this type of husband.
I found it so interesting how the white women on the show had no problem voicing their desire to be taken care of by their husbands, particularly financially (e.g., Amber) and their parents wanting that for their daughters as well (e.g., Amber’s mom). The white men had no problem with this at all and, as we saw with Cameron, being financially stable and taking care of their wives is pretty much expected or considered the norm in marriage (they take pride in it). Meanwhile, most black men nowadays view this as negative or gold digging. Black women are expected to be strong and independent, taught not to financially depend on black men. It’s quite interesting 🤔
taught not to cause they can't but bw also need to have better standards about the bm they hve relations with, they're dropping babies with multiple aint shit bm, that needs to stop
I've seen a lot of commentors calling amber a gold digger on mainstream videos on the show - so it's not seen as very normal in the white world either. I'm white and live around mostly white people and I've never personally met a stay at home mom (except for a year or two of mat leave sometimes but most just get a few months off work, or even just weeks after giving birth they're back at work). When im shopping in the swanky neighborhood I think I see small flocks of them jogging with their strollers to the park, but noone I know. It must be nice for people who can afford it, but it's just not a part of my middle class Canadian world.
@@carolsimpson4422 I'm a middle class Canadian too, and more than half of the mom's at my daughter's school are stay at home moms. But I do think the gender norms here, at least in Toronto, are much more relaxed than they are in the US. Watching this show, I was truly surprised that so many of the men and women were focused on their partners being able to provide financially. Even people discussing their christianity so openly was a shock to me. And SO MANY people here identify as bi or pansexual or trans or nonbinary, I was surprised Carlton was so insecure. I'm literally one of very few heterosexual people that I know, even as a black person.
@@carolsimpson4422 Amber was called a gold digger because they made her out to be a hobosexual who was looking for Barnett to take care of her because she was homeless, which really wasn't the case. But a large chunk of the white women I met in college never intended to use their degrees. They really only went to college to husband hunt and fully intended upon being taken care of stay at home moms. One of my former roommates being one of them. I've never met a black woman with that idea and found the thought to be pretty puzzling at first.
Chrissie I’m a 16 year old black male teen, thank you for teaching about colorism and opening my eyes to the issues the black community sweeps under the rug❤️
Hello Chrissie, a Latina here who watches your channel and has learned a lot from it. I enjoyed this show and regardless of what happened with Diamond, I am still so happy that the darkskin woman was the one who found a handsome, professional, masculine providor. I could tell her beauty, femininity and maturity was what made that man fall for her completely. Lauren and Cameron were definitely the best catches of this show and they ended up together. Such a beautiful couple, God bless them.
They are a beautiful couple couple and I am happy for them. As a American black women engaged to a Japanese man I encourage American black women to go where they are loved. ❤ There are so many great men out there. Stop looking at skin complexion. Lauren and Cameron are a wonderful example of love.
My deep chocolate aunt was married a white guy who worshipped the ground she glided on. After decades and five curly haired blonde sons she died. David remarried after some time....to another mahogany woman.
What annoyed me was people are STILL questioning Cameron's intentions or saying "I hope she doesn't get fetishsized." EDIT: It is an insult! Because they are saying they dont believe men of other races could find us attractive and marriageable! Also so what if what first attracted him was her skin or booty? Most men like certain things about a woman (individually) that's what draws them in, what keeps them around is interest in the woman AS A PERSON. No one blinks when men say "I like blonds", it doesn't mean that's ALL they care about that's just what drew them in, DAMN.
I’m not speaking to specifically just in general it’s time to be oblivious to comments like those. I haven’t seen not one negative comment about them at all. If it’s people that surround you or trash places like the shaderoom avoid them. We don’t need negativity in our lives and there is far more love out there to give and receive!
Brittany Davis the same people don’t give a shit when black women marry black male colorists who spread that nonsense to their children but “care” about bw being fetishized...lol
Sara L child when he said “Don’t worry I’m gonna take care of you” I was like Lawd!!! It wasn’t about Lauren asking to be taken care of. It was the fact that Cameron took it upon himself to assure her that they’re always gonna be good. 🙌🏾🙌🏾
I would also like to add this:Cameron meant it when he said he will he take care of her.He recently told a white lady to stop touching Lauren's hair.It was in one of those live videos that Lauren had streaming

I don't understand why some black women feel white men would care about our hair. In my experience black men make a bigger deal about hair with black women versus white, hispanic, or asian.
I grew up in predominantly white areas for most of my life, and I’ve never had a yt man say or care anything about my hair, unless they were just saying they like it. That’s literally it. They don’t seem to care much because they’re so used to yt women cutting, dying, curling, straightening their hair. Black people are the only ones that obsess about hair, if you ask me.
I wish they had shown how Cameron's family accepted Lauren. Lauren said they received her and his Mother said she was as beautiful as Cameron described her. But, she said Netflix cut a lot of the clips with his parents out. Lots of Black women and White men are concerned about his parents.
@Pooh Asia his parents are used to him dating bw, he had a 5 yr relationship with a bw before this, pretty sure they were cool with it. his Mom is very nice and very supportive
On his mom Instagram, she post a very lovely post about her finally being able to announce her son got married to a wonderful woman. She also says that their family have come to love her family very much and they're looking forward to many get together.
*ALSO* important to note: A lot of black women who date out were raised with a strong black male presence and unfortunately can’t find that same energy from modern black men.
kyra williams exactly!! My black, biological parents are still married til this day. My father only cared that I was happy and taken care of, not the color of his skin.
Finally someone mention this and it is so correct. Most black women that date out want better, simply because of what they’ve been exposed to growing up, which is having a strong male presence or strong male figures in their lives.
Absolutely true. My father was a great example of a strong black man who was family oriented. He made sure all his daughters was intelligent, strong (mentally, physically and emotionally) and financially able to take care of ourselves if we need to. All he asked is we find a mate to match our level or more. Because he wanted us to be protected and taken care of after he's gone. RIP love you Dad 😊
I have had this exact conversation with my mom. There's a lot of behavior I simply won't accept because I had a positive example of what a good father and husband looks like.
Carlton's preference was clear to me from jump; he's not into women at all, he's gay as the day is long and he went on the show for a comeup. He was dishonest at minimum and deceitful at maximum. His behavior when he did finally come clean was disrespectful and bordered on violent. He strikes me as the type that hits women. Diamond deserved better and if she thought she deserved better she would not have chosen Carlton. Just my opinion.
@@kaydenpat you, me and everyone else who watched the show saw only mere snippets of the in depth conversations these people allegedly had that led them to believe they were ready to marry each other. I find it difficult to believe that Carlton did not convey questionable views and/or say some things that were probably rude and disrespectful before he went full fuck boy during his "confession". You can play devil's advocate if you like but we women KNOW when a man is a foolywang and a fraud...a lot of us just choose to ignore what we know so we can have what we think we want. I said what I said; if Diamond felt she deserved better, she would never have chosen Carlton. Stevie Wonder could see he was gay. Y'all need to stop believing everything you see on "reality" TV.
Exactly. My thoughts as well. Everything he said in the pods was self centered and all about him. And when they got to the resort, he switched up, and was Hella rude and disrespectful. That alone would have been enough for me to bounce. Then, once he told her about his true nature, he played the victim and acted like she didn't need to process all that craziness. You right, he definitely wasn't on this Show for love, he was there for clout and a come up.
I think it was more of the producers who urged him to do it. You know for “entertainment value”. Since they were such a drama free couple, it was their pathetic attempt to inject some spice into their story.
Omg I knew you would make a video on this! Cameron has fully converted me, I want sure about white men just because black men are the comfort zone but he is just amazing and a dream. Plus he had a WHOLE BEAUTIFUL HOUSE ready and waiting for his wife, the levels ladies!!! And you forgot to mention that laren is a great example of a classy black woman, shes beautiful, fit and smart. We need to see more of dark/brown skin women like her all over the media.
ace boogie It doesn’t need to be to serious off the bat if your worried. You can always just try dating. Just treat yourself to being taken out and experiencing men from different cultures.
Girl you should have been converted. My man is white and he treats my like a queen. Doesn't care about my bonnet. Helps me take down my braids after I taught him how to do it.
In the Caucasian community, it has been my experience, that lots of Caucasian men and women get married between 25 - 35. Marriage is still a "thing" in their community. They want to get married, are expected to get marry and do get married.
There are several black communities. Black is not a monolith. In many black immigrant communities, marriage is a big "thing". We are more conservative as well.
@@nedunedu747 for the love of God. We know. We always know who ee refer to when we say black people, African Americans. Yep. Going to my bfs friend's wedding this summer... they both graduated last year! He also had a friend marry is HS sweetheart last year right after graduation. I've seen 4-5 weddings/ proposals from white classmates on my TL in the past year and I'm 22. Just in the past 6 months my bf has mentioned at least four convos that he's had with different friends about their possible plans for marriage. These guys are 23-27 and discuss seriously marriage with each other. Crazy concept to most of us. This is why Jessica will probably have to sober up and marry a divorced man to have the type of WM she desires... all the 35 year old Barnett's with a degree, a solid career, and property are married! ESPECIALLY in the south and midwest. The majority of Americans marry between ages 25 and 30. This means that most of these couples are meeting early to mid 20s.
Nothing against bisexual men, but it’s a no for me. I am a heterosexual woman, I want, prefer, and require a heterosexual man, Period and I said what I said.
Rest assured ladies, straight Men do not require that women be straight. In general men are much less invested in women as friends or romantic partners. Women have a desperate need for masculinity and it is tied to a need for someone to lead you financially, emotionally, and socially. This is why men have less respect for women then the reverse in general. Men simply do not want or need as much from a woman as women need from them.
Grace Giles lol not my black man 🤷🏾♀️ I can bald or have my hair however and he still thinks I’m the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. Black men aren’t a monolith remember?
If this experiment/show doesn’t teach black (dark skin) women to expand and widen their horizons honestly I don’t know what will 👀🤷🏾♀️ go find your Cameron girlsss 💃🏿
I was literally shocked that Carleton lead Diamond on and had the audacity to get mad when she doesn’t accept his bisexuality when he wasn’t open about that from the beginning. It was disrespectful and disgusting that he insulted her when she tried to have a conversation with him. Smh
Now women will be asking up front if the men are straight before they leave the pods. I would. Carlton is not a nice human being and it has nothing to do with his sexuality.
She didn't even say she didn't accept him, which makes it even worse. He cursed her out just for saying the truth that he was dishonest. He was supposed to say Sorry for hiding information, but he called her a b**** instead.
Cameron is the perfect type of guy to go for, he is mature, READY for marriage, had a house for a family, secure job and educated. I love that he was thinking to use the extra room for her office space aswell
So tired of everyone telling black women who we should be dating. I don’t see this happening to women of other races. Why can’t we have preferences like everyone else???
@@teealuuu6926 not something anyone should be telling younger pple at all but every grp no matter what colour has its haters like that. Date whomever treats you right
Exactly! When men prefer not to date black women, it's a preference, but a woman who doesn't want to be with a bi man is homophobic. Does that make gay people heterophobes for not wanting someone of the same sex? What about gay people who only want butch, masculine, feminine, or flamboyant partners? What kind of phobe does that make them?
@@princessmobucks8760 he cheated every chance he go with both men and women, and 1 day while I was at work I came home to find him and his stuff gone. So him leaving didn't bother me at all
I've learned to put race aside and use qualification guidelines instead. His career path, desire for marriage, his savings and home ownership goals, and long term goals come first. I will not put aside my future happiness and well being waiting on black men to get on my level. A need a man who is already there regardless of race.
Diamond was actually surprisingly going to accept Carlton for who he was. Her only issue was that he kept it from her for so long, and that he should’ve told her in the pod when they were getting to know each other. She felt betrayed and rightfully so. If being bisexual is a part of his identity then he should’ve revealed that to her. I personally think that the reason why he got so upset and called Diamond out of her name is because he wasn’t ready to be accepted by her/the world and he didn’t accept himself. He’s afraid and he’s hurt, so he’s lashing it all out on her. That was unacceptable. He needs to learn to accept himself first, because it seems like he hasn’t gotten there yet. Side note: I loved loved loved the relationship between Cameron and Lauren. The best couple on that show.
Glenda Stevens Yea, some people believe that they weren’t feeling each other like that. There wasn’t that physical attractiveness with each other. I’m not that observant and I didn’t see that until other people (like you) mentioned it. Maybe Carlton did all that loud talk to make her leave him. Maybe it was a part of his plan, I don’t know.
Carlton did ask Diamond out on a date and he did apologize to her by now but the fact is he LIED by not telling her in the pods...this way she would have an opportunity to make a decision if they would move forward with the engagement process. He didn't even give her a chance. She would have accepted it had he not been so crude and disrespectful...
I watched this show with my man and we literally cried together in the end because finally this gorgeous dark skinned BW found love by opening up her dating options!
It does sound like desperation. Most bw will accept a bi bm over dating a straight provider wm. I know there are slim pickings but damn! Give me a Cameron all day, everyday 🤷🏾🤷🏾
Also Carlton's energy changed after the pods because he knew he would have to tell her eventually, he was saying "you make daddy feel good" and "hop out of your feelings" and was doing the most. It wasn't just even his sexuality and the fact that he hid it but his charcter too, I don't blame Diamond.
Kay Alade exactly. I noticed his thinly veiled disrespectful comments as a distancing defense mechanism as well. You are someone who can read people and that’s a gift. Use it. Trust your gut. Always.
Damn, this video is on point. Personally, I wouldn't want a bisexual man myself. I'm a straight woman, so I want a straight man. Period. No black feminist who trots after white women can shame me. Having said that, I agree that men can be ready in their 20's. My man is 28 now and he's a doctor and a consultant for a startup and is very well off and we're ready to marry. And yes he's black. Don't believe the pro-black hoteps on the internet. They are just mad because black women practicing hypergamy means a whole lot of them are going to be left in the dust and their lineage will die out which men are hardwired to prevent. And it's easier to insist black women marry down then for them to take their asses to medical, law, or trade school for 5-10 years because black men want either want to be women or are too beaten down to want to be men and hypergamy puts a wrench in to that diabolical scam.
You’re my second favorite RUclipsr who’s spoken about this show in the last week. Gonna have a watch on Netflix!💕 I’m 30, and I’m in Lauren’s position. I know what I want and haven’t been in a relationship for years. My next relationship has to be my life partner.
Justice haha. I been swirling for a decade now 😅 but my last proper relationship, he was emotionally abusive and didn’t care for my family and friends. I persisted because honestly was running from some other ish in my life and though having a bf would fix that. I could build something with him. I was in that for 2 1/2 yrs which was 2 years too long. Been single since 24 intentionally. Decided I wasn’t interested if someone wasn’t adding something positive to my life. And I have a very high bS meter as a psychologist. People say I’m difficult but I just like peace of mind and can’t be bothered. I’m looking now though. With a strategy to build something great with someone. Always been watching a lot of black women RUclips but now with focus on dating advice.
Omg I completely agree with you and I also think diamond choose Carlton because he is black because in some scenes he will say stuff like you are lucky that you are pretty like what is that suppose to mean
It's not bi-phobia. People just too damn sensitive. It's the fact that he was not open with her from jump. She probably wouldve accepted him or maybe not but it's her choice and he didnt allow her to make that choice. People for some reason dont get that still. Be honest from jump and let us decide if we want u or not.
Why are the lgbt SO OBSESSED with whom heterosexuals choose to date?!? It's starting to look like misery prefers company. Congratulations to the interracial couple that made it. Love has no color, ladies LET these good men give you what you've always wanted.
Jamie Janita Some of them fantasize about being able to “convert” straight people. People are just starting to realize it’s akin to trying to “convert” a gay person back to heterosexuality and call out people with those fetishes.
@@mangastar234 I have also noticed how many would like to turn a straight person "out". They even admit it during an argument, especially when arguing with women. This is obviously an open and unshamed form of fetish that no one really has the balls to call out.
Jamie Janita I’m a gay hispanic woman who refuses to date bisexual women. Everyone has their preferences. If I was straight I would also refuses to date bi men.
I was rooting for Cameron and Lauren from the moment I saw them. 😍Their chemistry was incredible compared to the other matches. Cameron is a full complete package, he is not an unfinished project waiting for a woman to “build” him up. As for Lauren she is the PRIZE, beautiful , intelligent and open minded. I respect that she didn’t let Cameron’s skin color stop her from seeing what a good man is. This is what real genuine love looks like. They deserve each other so much. A good woman and a good man that’s all theres to be needed. They are an ideal couple. Congratulations to both ❤️ Carlton is gay . That’s all I have to say about that.
Notice how during reunion the Lacheys asked who everyone thought was the most beautiful and Damien and Kenny both said they were taken aback by how beautiful Lauren was and how they dated her up until she got engaged. And I noticed she’s quite the simple beauty. Just a fit, pretty, well manicured, feminine, genuine woman.
I don’t watch the show but it’s was refreshing to hear that a black woman made it in the end with a good husband. ❣️ Also bisexuality is a deal breaker for me. I personally get disgusted when gay men date women. Just my opinion
Exactly. And a lot of these dudes are gay and closeted or haven’t realized their sexuality yet. So what if they got married and he comes out as gay? Then what? He’s just going to leave?
I have bisexual friends who say they wouldn't date transgender individuals. Does this make them "transphobic"? No they just have a preferences for who they would or would not date. I'm honestly sick of the LGBTQ community guilt tripping people into loving or dating a certain way in fear of appearing all types of "-phobic". Y'all fought for people to love who they love, so let people LOVE who whoever they want to love tf?
Calling people “blah blah” - phobic is getting lame af. 🙄 I ,as a heterosexual woman, am free to discriminate based on any characteristic I want when in comes to romantic relationships. bisexual men turn me off. I don’t owe anyone anything. Especially not my body, time, and resources.
sugarwaters right! We’re allowed to find the qualities in our partners that we feel most attracted to. Nothing wrong with that. It’s not “blah blah” - phobic.
You're allowed to not want a relationship with a certain type of person, but some people will literally call someone disgusting for feeling how they feel, that is why so many of you get called "blah blah phobic" (there are plenty of triggered people who like to be mad as well)
Lauren is a good example of the importance of father figures in black girls lives, She is so happy and care free and you can tell how much having a father that loves her and is protective over her has made her secure in herself.
Carlton is definitely gay and not bisexual. He was exposed as having been on another reality show (Real Housewives I believe) in which he was portrayed as a gay man. He went on Love Is Blind for clout only.
Night Cat that’s right, standards MUST be met. There’s just no compromise when it comes to sexual practice with me. My life and overall health is at risk.
I also want to point out further that Lauren is 32 and the guy is 28. So many fake pro black men say a woman is some dried up waste at the young age of 30. Im 26 and for years I have felt insecure reading what these men say about women only in their 30s. The ageism. Lauren is beautiful and still young. Got herself a guy a few years younger. Shes gorgeous as well. So to all my black women 30 and over. You can still find yourself a great man to marry in your 30s.
I'm in my 30's and I am married, but yeah I don't get why some men act like after 30 the woman has hit the wall. I can only imagine women in their 40's. Some even said young Jeezy can do better than Jeannie Mae since she is in her 40's but at least she doesn't have a kid they will say
I am happy for Lauren and Cameron. I have noticed an interesting trend of black men noting how stunningly beautiful and desirable Lauren is and how they are absolutely perplexed at how she could be single. I can't help but wonder if part of their attraction to her is the fact that another man wants and adores her kind of validating her worth in a sense because beautiful dark skinned women are passed over and treated like an after thought by AA men everyday... Lauren said herself she has only dated black men and has never been treated the way Cameron treats her...so why the disconnect? It's interesting that a 28 year old non AA man can latch on and adore the dark skinned weave wearing code switching, slim build beautiful woman that is Lauren Speed. I am a firm believer that the hoops that SOME unappreciative black men try to make women jump through can just translate to him not being ready, willing or able to step into a relationship properly...either way its okay for men like that to remain with themselves.
I have always said wm watch us they watch our community they see how the scenerio is playing out and they are cashing in chips. they are seeking us right and left unabashedly and this makes the bm look real bad!
I don't even think Carlton is bi, I think he is straight up gay, he is playing a game, did yall see that video of him arguing with Kenya Moore? I don't know what this dude is on, i think he came on the show for attention
It’s funny because although I watched the entire season, I didn’t notice that Lauren was older than Cameron. He’s so dang mature that I didn’t even notice the age difference. They’re a fabulous couple.
Hey Chrissie can you please talk about the backlash white people are leaving on the brand “The Honey Pot” a black woman owned business for feminine hygiene . Target allowed her a brand deal to sell her products in stores. They made a commercial and at the end the owner said it was a honor to be a black woman advancing her product to pave the way for others. She received a lot of black lash from white people for bring up race, saying white people cant use it and a lot of ignorant stuff. This is a very recent topic , but I do hope you discuss it on your channel. Sending love❤️.
Chrissie is always on point with the videos. In my case, I date who treats me well (consistently), who a good man and fit with me. I'm not waiting for any one race.
PSA: Lying/hiding your sexuality is unfair and detrimental to BOTH parties in relationship. You are not being true to yourself and associating your sexuality with a LIE will cause your partner to feel you will lie about it in the future. Life is too short not to love who you truly want!! I hope this show helped Carlton see that. Also EVERYONE has the right to know if their partner has slept with the same and/or opposite sex...it’s not homophobic. Carlton didn’t give Diamond the chance to show how she truly felt since about him being bi.
*The best part of the reunion was when all the other white men jumped up to praise Lauren's beauty and how much they regretted not picking her, and Cameron sitting there visibly proud af*
I would marry out (current), stay alone, be a forever girlfriend, raise cats and become a cat lady or anything else before knowingly choosing a bisexual black man.
Black women are definitely being shamed into dating bisexual and trans men and some women are falling for it which is sad. Forcing women to date men their not interested in is rapey af and I ain't having it.
It’s the pro blacks who are pushing that mess! I remember a while back they were trying to force the idea of polygamy down monogamous black women’s throats just like they’re trying to now force bisexuality on us. They’re just desperate for breeders.
@@Nicole-ei6dp idk which pro blacks you know who force homosexuality and bisexual dating because most pro blacks are against homosexuality period But they indeed try & force polygamy i agree with you on that
They hate homosexuality, but they also think it’s a choice. That’s why they’re fine with a gay man practicing performative masculinity and suppressing his true desires in order to build a nuclear black family. I’ve heard them say that. It was mainly the black love pickmeisha brigade on twitter saying “see this is why black women are single”. Black love is pro black term for breeding, period .
Hey Chrissie! I’m a 17 year old viewer, watching you for over a year now n I love your content. Me n my mom always have conversations and debates over your topics about the black community. It’s so refreshing hearing another persons opinion, especially a fellow black woman. Keep the conversation going, I love what you’re doing n I hope I can have intellectual conversations for a mass audience at some point too❣️
I wanted to return to this video after watching the reunion and wanted to point out how Lauren managed to be on the radar on a lot of the guys who were already married or dating. Damien and Kenny both liked her and remarked on how pleasant her personality was and how attractively feminine she was. Lauren is fit, and is EXACTLY what Chrissie has been preaching for dark skinned black women on this channel. Lauren is an unambiguous chocolate skinned woman, with full African features, she’s stunning, sexy, incredibly girly and funny. I just love the corrective promotion they gave her on the first season of this show!! Very enlightening!! So happy ❤️❤️❤️
I had to come back to this video after seeing the reunion and note that most of the guys said that Lauren was the most interesting to them...and they all would of been interested in her base off of the conversations they had with her. And that she was also stunning inside as well as out.
I liked Cameron's rap. He didn't just rap, to show off for Lauren's mom. Lauren brought it up, and Ms. Pamela asked to hear him spit. He did aight. He's kinda perfect, he was a firefighter for 6 years, he's a scientist and really sensitive and sweet.
You can see that Carlton is gay. When he got upset the queen popped up. 💃🏾 Not to mention the bad comments about she being "typical /stereotypical" and about her wig!
At the end of they day. Once a man crosses the line and be intimate with another man, he will never be the same okay. No women can make him feel like how a man made him feel. So....
Pissed me off that the only black couple was a girl actually named Diamond & a sexually confused man!! Other than that it was interesting with some really emotional moments. Good concept as far as removing the shallow aspect of dating.
I've never seen this show and thank God. 😤There is no way I would date/marry a bisexual man are you kidding me? First of all you can never really fill the void this man would have he's attached to both. I'm not LGBTQ phobic at all, but why is it that BW are the bad guy's for wanting a straight man who provides 🤦🏾♀️? Jesus we already fight stereotypes, colorism, wage gaps, and pickmiesha. I'm glad I'm married 7 years in october ladies don't settle.
PSA: Yes, we know “all white men aren’t like Cameron” and “all black men aren’t like Carlton”. That’s all!🙂
Some black women are anti white men and cant find the good in any white men. They make sure to let you know all white men arent wonderful even though nobody said all where wonderful in the first place 🤭
I was patiently waiting for your review Chrissie. I love your channel ❤
Thank you

RIGHT
This came at a perfect time..I literally just started watching this yesterday
"Men who are serious about you will have a sense of urgency about you." Boom. Thiiiiiis.
💯. I don't waste time with guys who are hot and cold. A guy who's into you will show it.
Facts! My husband proposed one month shy of two years and today we're married only after being together three years.
True.
Met husband 3~ 2010.
Engaged 10~ 2010
Married 11~11~11😋😋💜💜
It happens... my dad met my mom when she visited his island on vacation.
YES. He wanted to be catered to like a bad bitch.

I was team Lauren and Cameron from the start. Diamond did not deserve that treatment.
Poor Diamond. She was real and searching for a partner. Hope she finds someone nice soon.

Onblood
What I didn’t like was that nobody told her about her wig
Like wtf?
They were wrong for that 🙄😐
And I know they noticed because he called it out and tried to shade her for it
But she didn’t deserve to be treated like that 🙄
There’s a difference between biphobia and not being open and honest with your partner.

S O H lol
No he represented bm as they are
Actually that’s how black men act. They’re aren’t men for the most part
Exactly!
He represented black men to the T. This is usually how they are.
Lauren is also fit, didnt have exaggerated weave and was open minded. She came out of the show top tier👏👏
🎯🎯🎯
It's always the black man who is obssessed with hair in general. A white man will appreciate the hair you have as a bw as long as you take care of it and look good with it.
She was weight height proportionate! Skin and hair was gleaming!
Amen!!! Preach!!!
Leveled up in a matter of a few weeks. AMAZING!
Definitely true!
Preach!! 🙌🏿🙌🏿
Carlton was dead wrong for not telling her from the beginning. I also felt as her reaction went better than expected. It’s sad she’s still hurt by this experience.
Denise F I agree! He did her wrong😭
Denise F Diamond handled it very well, I felt for Carlton but he was very deceptive. I hate that Diamond is receiving backlash from viewers.
She missed out on a potential husband from the other men on the show just because he couldn't be honest with her
Black women having high HIV rates is a direct reflection of these nasty bi males but we're wrong for not wanting to be with males who make love to the bodies garbage chute?!?!
One thing we have to do is stop giving a f about people judging our choices. They can drag me and kiss my ENTIRE patooty while doing it. I refuse to knowingly date a bi male.

Agree 1,000%🙌🙌🙌
Here come the “it’s only a fetish” comments 😂 it’s only a fetish when anyone non black is attracted to black women but never when black men drool over non black women.
Right! It's always "love is blind" the other way around. Smh
I 100% agree.
I think she is a lesbian in the closet.

Aw! If you don’t mind me asking, how did y’all meet?
I’m also happy that Lauren was the fan favorite, she’s what all black women should aspire to be in terms of options. LADIES you have options, Lauren is stunning, sexy, funny, smart and an unambiguous DARK SKINNED black woman. Look at all the rest off the ladies. Jessica was a hot mess, Kelly was homely looking, Amber is lazy and entitled. I have a feeling that if Diamond expanded her options and talked to more non-black men she would have gotten a better match and a similar experience like Lauren’s

Lauren and Cameron are starting a youtube channel. You heard it here first.
The beginning of the end.. It’s going to be like Nickie and Jamie
@@Tamaraudenyefa There are many couples on RUclips that have been together for many years. Adanna&David and Gabe&Babe come to mind but I do think Lauren and Cameron should keep their relationship on the low they shouldn't do RUclips.
Tamara Adeyeba 😂😂😂lol
Chenille Campbell they’ve kept quiet for 18 months so they’ve had time to build a strong foundation
@@Ilikefrogs.. if you can afford to live in Toronto, you're not the kind of middle class I meant lol
Sexuality aside, Carlton is toxic.
He was quite violent when angry

Hello Chrissie, a Latina here who watches your channel and has learned a lot from it. I enjoyed this show and regardless of what happened with Diamond, I am still so happy that the darkskin woman was the one who found a handsome, professional, masculine providor. I could tell her beauty, femininity and maturity was what made that man fall for her completely. Lauren and Cameron were definitely the best catches of this show and they ended up together. Such a beautiful couple, God bless them.

@Randy SoCal literally nobody asked or cares
Nice
What annoyed me was people are STILL questioning Cameron's intentions or saying "I hope she doesn't get fetishsized."
EDIT:
It is an insult!
They don't care when we are the butt of jokes and serve as work mule but care when or if we are fetishized? Knock it off! Boy bye
I’m not speaking to specifically just in general it’s time to be oblivious to comments like those. I haven’t seen not one negative comment about them at all. If it’s people that surround you or trash places like the shaderoom avoid them. We don’t need negativity in our lives and there is far more love out there to give and receive!
But Cameroon's ex was black for 5 years.
Brittany Davis the same people don’t give a shit when black women marry black male colorists who spread that nonsense to their children but “care” about bw being fetishized...lol
Brittany Davis they also don’t even care when black men fetishize lighter skinned women..hmm..something is not clean in the buttermilk

Sara L child when he said “Don’t worry I’m gonna take care of you” I was like Lawd!!! It wasn’t about Lauren asking to be taken care of. It was the fact that Cameron took it upon himself to assure her that they’re always gonna be good. 🙌🏾🙌🏾

I don't understand why some black women feel white men would care about our hair. In my experience black men make a bigger deal about hair with black women versus white, hispanic, or asian.
Ambi T 100% true. Black men are the ones clowning black women about their weaves. Other races don’t care!!!
Ambi T agreed. I’ve never had a problem with this.
Good point
I grew up in predominantly white areas for most of my life, and I’ve never had a yt man say or care anything about my hair, unless they were just saying they like it.
That’s literally it. They don’t seem to care much because they’re so used to yt women cutting, dying, curling, straightening their hair.
Black people are the only ones that obsess about hair, if you ask me.
I agree, but watch out for Latinos.
I wish they had shown how Cameron's family accepted Lauren. Lauren said they received her and his Mother said she was as beautiful as Cameron described her. But, she said Netflix cut a lot of the clips with his parents out. Lots of Black women and White men are concerned about his parents.
Cut out parts... they didn’t show anything that’s where the show was lacking at times too many gaps hopefully they’ll fix this in season 2
@Pooh Asia his parents are used to him dating bw, he had a 5 yr relationship with a bw before this, pretty sure they were cool with it. his Mom is very nice and very supportive

Yes he acted like he didn’t like women the way he interacted with her. He verbally attacked her before any mutual discord.
*ALSO* important to note:
A lot of black women who date out were raised with a strong black male presence and unfortunately can’t find that same energy from modern black men.
kyra williams exactly!!
@@shawnsmith4518 THIS! So true
How would Diamond have known that he had issues before meeting him when he hid the fact that he’s bisexual from her?
I think he might have wanted a woman as a cover or to see if he can get one. I doubt he ever had a long term relationship with either sex

I agree!!
Our community is so damned jacked up when you mention the word "marriage"
I agree
And that 👏 is 👏 ALL 👏🙅
Rest assured ladies, straight Men do not require that women be straight. In general men are much less invested in women as friends or romantic partners. Women have a desperate need for masculinity and it is tied to a need for someone to lead you financially, emotionally, and socially. This is why men have less respect for women then the reverse in general. Men simply do not want or need as much from a woman as women need from them.

Exactly! When men prefer not to date black women, it's a preference, but a woman who doesn't want to be with a bi man is homophobic. Does that make gay people heterophobes for not wanting someone of the same sex? What about gay people who only want butch, masculine, feminine, or flamboyant partners? Say it loud enough for the foolish bw at the back of the room.
Bielka Aime He’s gay and gay men have called him out on it. Their HlV rates should be a worry for all women
Bielka Aime she was definitely ready to talk it out and accept him.

Cameron definitely came ready.
