As I don't have a Petzl grillon, Can use one end of my cow tail instead of Petzl progress adjust and using Petzl progress adjust instead of Petzl grillon?
The disadvantage of using the Progress Adjust instead of the Grillon is you can't lower off using it. It would be better to use an end of the rope and another descender to replace the Grillon.
The IRATA TACS says two karabiner connection to a bolt or one to a short wire sling. This is the worst case scenario, hopefully everything else is easier to deal with.
Very well done, the Grillon is the ticket here, being able to lower off it under tension makes this work well, Jim.
Thank you for uploading this I was struggling with the balance/pop technique, tried this and worked a charm first time, very good technique! 👍
Nice one, good to hear it worked well for you.
@Saul Layton yea, have been watching on flixzone} for years myself :)

@@independentropes4922 thank you first, but why I can't lower off with progress adjust?
@@chunwinglai320 if you have the weight of the casualty on the progress adjust you can't lower as the cam locks the rope in position.
@@independentropes4922 oh I see, thank you very much
Hi. What diameter of cord do you use here?
Hey, it's 5mm cord.
@@independentropes4922 Thanks
do you only do the rescue to a single point?

@@independentropes4922 Would it be advisable to replace the chain of carabiners with a strap to avoid twisting between them?

Where is his back up when you lower him onto the grillon?
There's a Progress Adjust lanyard from my waist D ring the the casualty's sternal D ring.
What length Grillon are you using ? :) thanks
Hi Harry, it's a 2m Grillon in the video but we also have some 1.5m ones that work well.
Independent Ropes awesome thanks for the reply
No resgate, usaste bem o rilon, mas falta um duplo ponto ancoragem. Quando inicias te o sistema 3/1, não tinhas.
If you look closer you'll see both myself and the dummy are always on two points.
Nice
Desculpa o formador. Vi uma das coattails. Sorry....
Single point
A single harness D ring is acceptable according to IRATA. Ch co out their Principal of Double Protection Statement. GU262
Good video, horrible sound (echo)
