Huge fan of your channel. I bought me a 2019 Tacoma TRD when they were dirt cheap. I’ve been outfitting it slowly. Your truck is my goal. Absolute perfection. Everything you have is functional and you don’t have a ton of flashy crap you don’t need. Well done.
@@ArkansasOffroad seeing your truck makes me regret the silver color, but I’ll get a nice wrap on it someday. Maybe the wrap will be inspired by your rig. :-)
I remember when they announced these things and I thought they looked amazing. Glad to hear it's working well for you! Cool how the awning works with it too. Thanks for the video!
As an owner of a GFC Platform RTT I wish the doors opened similar to the Alu-Cab. Where the doors drop into the tent rather than rolling up to the top of tent. Also wish the bug netting was on the outside of the tent rather than the inside. Hard to beat the size of the GFC though. Absolutely zero wind noise as well. Great setup btw.
I saw you go down Dickson St. before the Mississippi State game and thought that’s a sick Tacoma. And then I thought oh wait I watch that guy on RUclips
I had those 9" path finder off road lights in my cart ,waited the next day and the price went up double.I was so disappointed. They look great!Your truck is Bad Ass !
@@ArkansasOffroad Man I really appreciate it...Question how thick are they from back of light to front.I have about 31/2"to play with on my C4 overland bumper on my 2019 Tundra TRD Pro ?
Nice review...I love your intro... we need to plan another trip to give you some new content! I love the expandable nature of this tent to be able to store your bedding. That is my only complaint about my roof nest falcon, I can't store my bedding.
Hey, I know where you filmed this! Some good non-truck trails around that spot ^_^. We saw you out on the trails last April around Flygap, I was in the 06 Tundra waiting to cross the mud hole, y'all were going the opposite direction.
I will say, I was eyeballing this tent for a while but it looks like they don’t make it anymore. Their website states “we currently have sold through materials we have in order for 2021…moving forward, we don’t plan to order more SuperLite materials for production.” Bummer.
Cool vids brudda. GIven the upside down brand name, I think the back door is upside down. lol I'm in the market for land in some of the areas of northwest Arkansas. Cant wait to get on the trails. We encourage you to continue the vids and product info. *Aloha from Denton Texas
Sweet setup!! Just wondering, have you ever had any trouble with the roof top tent contacting the cab rack? I want to do a similar setup but hearing people say that the bed and cab are separated and have independent movement therefore nothing should be connected between the bed rack and cab rack if that makes sense...
I am going to search your channel, but I am very interested in the Alu-cab awning and the rack that you have mounted to the cap. Would love to know more about both.
I tried to get a superlite tent from GFC. But they sold out and I think they also discontinued the tent due to supply issues. But if they ever decided to sell them again hopefully I will be able to snag one.
They aren't available on the website, but in the last week or so they have said that there will be an announcement on the Superlite in the next few days.
Awesome video as always! That solar panel guaranteed not to blow off the roof up to 767 mph or the speed of sound whichever occurs first! And that logo is only upside down if your truck is right side up.
I love my superlite, first RTT and it was worth the wait. Glad I didn't get the launch edition though, my outer front door rolls up. Def a two person tent, don't see a dog or kiddo being able to fit with two adults.
thats odd, my superlite's back door is sewn on the top like you mentioned. the velcro sewn along the edges of the inner tent to hold the poles in place however are to short to wrap around the poles....so there's that.
How does the spare tire carrier perform? I got rid of my rigd ultra swing. It shook the truck so much it caused horrible ride. Been thinking about your style bumper but don't whant to end up in the same boat again.
With any of your RTT's, have you had any issues with the rated load capacity of the ARE cap being exceeded? If you could estimate, what is the most weight you've had on that cap, when parked at camp? Being that this is a HT RTT, why do they have the cordura outer shell? Over time, that nylon is going to break down from UV exposure alone. At 6' tall, this model looks too short for me.
Good question. For load capacity, I used to have a 150lb hardshell on it. My wife and I have both slept up there numerous times. So us, plus the weight of the tent, plus my camper shell roof rack. Im always worried about it in the back of my mind, but Ive seen 0 stress cracks or anything anywhere. Part of the reason I went with this tent was to cut the weight dramatically and have to worry less about the cap. The shell of this tent is UV resistant and feels like it's almost got a wax coating or something. Seems really durable. And I believe on GFC's website, they say a 6' person can fit, but that's probably the max. It's 90" long.
Man, you and Matt are pushing me for a visit of the Ozarks. Now tell me how the hell did you got a Superlite.....they are out of stock till 2027🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍👍👍
