Finally an orchestra that understands when brass whole notes matter instead of hiding them behind the melody.
This is a Wind Ensemble, is what maslanka was renowned for.
in this case, the whole notes are the melody. It’s quoting the doxology
What an incredible piece to perform, it’s truly indescribable
We played this at Michigan State last spring. One of the coolest pieces.
Just played this as a trombonist with a professional wind ensemble - LOVED this part
I love seeing this many french horns it's beautiful ❤️📯
Horns keep it mello
As a bass clarinet player, I feel this...
So…… many……… bassoons. I am in love
UT just played this again last year :)
Some power behind those lungs
Maslanka is NOT easy
My dumbass: "(deep fried filter) *E* "
Outstanding
Didn’t even mention if they were sharp or flat

No comments on the Maslanka bones. Sad. 😭
the horns play it too 🙄
Played it when I was in college - meh; just sounded goofy; especially the clarinet “crying” part.
