And when I saw her and him look up at her efforts, I was thinking that Link was kindly saying, "look what you did, Midna." And she was all, OoO holy shit!

After Link beats Demise (the villain), he said that he will place a curse on those who share the blood of Hylia and the spirit of the hero. The spirit of the hero was pasted down to all of the many Link's. And maybe that's what makes Link part of the first royal family (in Skyward Sword). Just a theory.
