Love my 2020 Ram Laramie! Not only best truck, but nicest vehicle I have owned and I have owned a couple luxury suvs previously. Plus at 6’ 6” and a tall family the leg and head room is greatly appreciated!
I’ve had the current generation of all three in similar trims. Chevrolet was #3. The interior felt cheap, it was uncomfortable, and had a tiny fuel tank with no larger option. I did like the 5.3. Ford was #2. It had the best tech, but everything feels cheap and rattles. The wind noise from the driver door was terrible. It was in the shop the most. It was also covered in rust from day one. The 3.5 eco boost was great. The rest of the truck had issues. Ram was #1. The interior was the best, it was quiet, it needed nothing but maintenance, was free of rattles, and it pulled like a tank when towing.
Great video and great comparison work! You speak clearly, you don't talk fast and your sense of talk is comprehendable. I was wondering... When you do these truck comparison videos, in the back seat area, when you fold the rear seats up and adjust the individual side board panels (under the rear seats) that keep items from shifting around while you're driving, can you please use a tape measure to measure the distance from back of front seat to the edge of back seat that it lifted up? Often times, some tradesmen would rather keep tools, drywall panels, vacuum cleaners inside the back seat area and knowing the depth of space available would be great selling point. Also, can you please check to see if the front passenger seat folds flat? These ideas tremendously help the potential buyers. Thank you for your time and understanding! I look forward to your upcoming comparison videos. I appreciate you going into the details of your descriptions of each model.
Excellent review. I came from a Ford F150 eco-boost 3.5 traded for a ram 1500 5.7 off-road package all black appearance package Ownership of the ram six years Zero issues with it. I went test drove the new Fords. I just wanted some different so I went with the Silverado, RST with the Duramax so far I am enjoying that mileage, 28 Highway . All of the manufactures make very nice trucks
@@ChadscarcompsI have the Y currently, and coming from the Jeep Wrangler. LOVED my Jeep, but as someone who really loves tech, I think the Bronco is better. Come review the Tesla!
@@cinder9950 If you are comparing nameplates like Chevy vs. Ford, NO. FSeries outsells Silverado/1 ton series easily. Comparing GMC is a tired, old debate. GM has been a bigger company than Ford for decades.
@@michaelsheedy Trying to push this nonsense about Ford being the best selling truck is tired nonsense and anyone with a reasonable level of intelligence sees right through it. It's Ford trying to market themselves as the king of trucks using a technicality. GM builds trucks. Chevy and GMC do not. There is no Chevrolet headquarters. There are not separate factories building only Chevy truck or only GMC trucks. There are GM truck plants. Sometimes they put a Chevy logo on the truck being built, sometimes they put a GMC logo on them. They literally will switch between a Chevy and a GMC on the same day on the same assembly line. They roll off the same factory production lines with the same frame, suspension, axles, transmission, and engine. Trying to break down sales numbers by brand rather than manufacturer is a weasely thing Ford did because it's the core of their marketing strategy. At the end of the day, GM is usually building and selling more trucks than Ford on a given year. It is what it is.
This is the 2nd 3-way comparison video I've watched and there seems to be a slight bias by the reviewer toward the Chevy in both. Maybe I'm imagining it?
Hi Mark. Thanks for the comment. I try to be as objective as possible in my comparisons. I try to point out things I like and dislike, keeping in mind that these were not completely apples to apples. Unfortunately, I rely on the dealers to give me something from the inventory they have. So if I “gushed” over the features and technology of the Silverado more than the others, my apologies. Ram and Ford offer technology very similar to that of the Chevy, just not in the examples I was given to test.
The Tundra is pretty irrelevant. They sold 125k trucks last year. Ford sold 750k, GM sold 839k, and Ram sold 295k. Plus the new Tundra just looks weird and disproportionate.
Vehicle designers are going to that big/flat front look on so many vehicles. This truck is no different. Seems like a lot of people aren't super-enthused about it. I don't know, I kind of like it. :-)
Chevy worst riding truck ever! Nothing beats the ride and comfort of the multi coil suspension, I can almost compare the Chevy and GM ride with the government vehicles we drive totally uncomfortable
You seriously couldn’t tell us which one you preferred and why? What a waist of time. Two things happening here: 1) this is click bait or 2) you’re too scared to piss off one of those dealerships
I am not sure what click bait is. 😀But my goal is not to give you my opinion of what I would choose. My goal is to give mostly objective comments about styling, features, etc. I will give comments about what I like and don’t like, but everyone’s ideas about what is good are very different. For instance, many negative comments recently about the front styling of the Silverado. That’s actually something I really like. 😀
They're all really similar. Picking one is pointless because it's up to what the individual prefers and a youtube comparison video probably isn't going to make them change their mind.
All 3 are great looking. You couldn’t go wrong with either of these trucks. All 3 manufacturers make the best pickups in the world.
Right on

Ram does have a partition under the rear seat that extends out
Maybe that is an option the truck I borrowed didn’t have.

In my opinion best comparison out there 💯
I have a 2021 RAM Longhorn Limited, I absolutely love it!
I'm going with the F-150.
Great video Chad. Thanks for all of the information. I've been looking at the Ram for my next truck.
Glad to help

The market place determines who is number 1. Auto reviewers have nothing to do with it.
So GM trucks are the best since they sell the most?

Chevy has the accessory now to put the keypad on your vehicle.
You need to work on your wireless mic. Your evaluation of the 3 trucks is very good but the microphone flopping around on your vest was very annoying
Duramax!
I had a 2009 ram with nav it had a night mode. Any of these new trucks have that??? I have to shut my 2018 screen off at night. Anyone????
Can you please review family SUVs
Which SUV would you be looking to compare?
Navigator and Escalade please

The side steps on the Ford are long enough to extend to the bed. No 2 step needed.
Its either the Ford or Ram for me. I don’t care for the Chevys looks or interior.
It’s so funny. Interior and exterior styling and how it attracts buyers is so subjective.
That’s right!
After seeing this it seems the f150 is the best all round comfort towing and power Chevy not to far behind and the Ram a distant third
I don’t know about that front grille on the Chevy, it’s fugly!
I'll take the Chevy!!
Shot gun how nice
Ram
Hunting rifle !!!
Nice who makes 4000000000 a year to drive these??? Dam.

Chevy seats are garbage. Sitting on cement is more comfortable.
I don't mind them. Firm seats hold up way better over time. My previous F-150's had firm seats too.
Chevy diesel engine tow 13300 lbs gas tows 9300
I will have to look back at my notes. I think the 3.0 diesel with the rear gear ratios as tested was rated at 9300lbs.
