Why. If you knew a new Camry was about to drop.
I just bought the honda touring today, this thing feels light weight 280 horse power this thing drives like my s2000 but more room.
After seeing this it seems the f150 is the best all round comfort towing and power Chevy not to far behind and the Ram a distant third
The problem in Canada is cablegate on the RAV4 hybrid. We use a lot of salt on our roads around here. However the Hondas are a lot more expensive than the RAV4 even the XLE Premium. I mean you’re talking 57 grand OTD and an xtra five hundred if you want all weather mats and a trunk liner and no spare tire. At least Toyota will throw in the all weather mats lol.
I use a wheelchair, I removed the rear seat behind the driver, then the sliding seat bracket from my 2022 Honda Odyssey so I can load my wheelchair behind me, no handicap conversion nonsense for me, I never considered the Sienna once I heard it was 4 cylinder CVT, no way, never, I prefer the Honda, I travel back and fourth through the Smokey Mountains from Tennessee to North Carolina, so far my van has been loaded with several coolers full of beef from a cow we had cut up, it handled the load quite well, you could tell it was loaded tho. I've been used to big vans that get single digit gas mileage so believe me, 26 MPG is a blessing, and I need a vehicle that lasts, this replaced my 99 E350, it got 15 MPG at best when new. I don't know why they all need a sunroof/moon roof, its just something to leak later, stop putting holes in vehicle roofs. The Honda will shut off if in traffic long periods, I hate that, turn it off, and I miss using a key, shut it off and the radio stays on until you open the door, making you think its still running. #1 Pet peeve is with the windows down the damn back doors wont open all the way, another unwanted safety feature for morons, I can't get my wheelchair in or out unless the sliding door is all the way open.
Pilot the easy choice. Unless I’m trading in the car within 3 yrs or leading it, you choose Honda. Hyundai is a good reliable vehicle these days yet the resale are atrocious compared to Honda. As in 20-25% difference after 5 yrs. If you are purchasing or putting a high amount down on a car…Honda Pilot. Proven generation too
Hey future reference I don’t think that was a fair comparison I own a 2024 Honda Accord hybrid touring you can’t compare a civic touring against an accord ex obviously the civic is going to have way more features. Not tryna hate but again how fair would it be if you compared the Honda accord hybrid touring against the civic lx obviously people would choose the accord touring because of the features like the heads up display & leather seats with the bose sound system and way better screen and ect… I think if you’re gonna compare something compare it to the same trim. I owned the 2023 civic sport touring I loved it but once I got the 2024 accord hybrid touring I most definitely think it’s better then the civic
Thanks for comment Damian. I agree that comparing apples to apples would have been to compare the civic touring to an Accord touring. And maybe that is a future comparison to do. The purpose of this comparison was to take two models that were essentially the same price and compare them. For someone that knows they want a Honda and has a $30,000’ish budget, which one is the better car? That was my purpose.
@@Chadscarcomps thanks for the reply I see I see but I really hope u do make a video comparing touring to touring because I feel like people will get mistaken yk and some points in the video u will say for example “the accord got the smaller screen” it can be misleading because the sport hybrid and up has the bigger & better screen not all the accords have the down grade screen if that makes sense. Not hating or anything maybe I took offense because I have an 2024 accord hybrid touring and it’s a fantastic car 😭😂 again I just feel like that wasn’t a fair comparison but I appreciate you and hope u don’t take no offense!
VCM system in odyssey’s suck!! Cause engine oil consumption- rings freezing to pistons. Have had a 2011 with 150k miles, now getting massive problems, even though we took care of it, it has reached its end of life😩
I’m honestly pissed. I was looking at a civic sport but didn’t really like it. It didn’t have a nice interior so the sale lady shows me an accord ex. For 31k I wish she would have shown me the touring civic. It had all the things I was looking for in the interior. Absolutely gutted
How long have you had it? If only a few weeks, go back and talk to the dealership GM. They should take it back and give you a smokin deal on the Civic Touring
That's funny. I traded in my Pilot for a 2024 Civic Touring. Was first looking at used accords and my sales person pulls up in a White 2024 Civic Touring. After telling him my likes and dislikes and what I was looking for in a vehicle he hit the hammer on the head with this one. Love my new ride. 😊
This guy is underrated. Only 422 subs? Make that 423!
No. Tbird 1964
Not a very good comparison with the trims is like comparing apples to oranges. Comparing a top of the line Toyota vs a base trim Honda.
The looks are ruined on both of them by black wheels that look naff imho. Black wheels are ok on a wheelbarrow or lawnmower but look terrible on a car.
The Sienna has one huge advantage in MPG but three giant knocks against it in my book which are that the middle row isn't designed to come out, that in top trims you are limited to 7 passengers instead of 8, and that you can't get them without a long wait and/or a big markup. The markups mean that even with the better MPG, you may never recoup the cost difference with the Odyssey which can be had for thousands less in equivalent trim levels. For me the middle seat situation in top trims is a deal breaker. I need 8 people and I need sometimes to take out the seats.
Drivibility wise,we love hondas! Plus resale value isnt bad and the prices are better with whT u get. Toyotas are marked up and doesnt even have a remote start or u have to subscribe.yikes.
Honda remote start only works if you are right next to it, you can reach in and start it you are so close, not an impressive option, I used to open my other van via remote from 30 feet away.
The Kia clearly wins on looks. the sienna, with the hybrid option, appears to have the advantage, but the initial higher cost does not allow for people to recoup any savings unless they keep the vehicle for a very long time and drive many miles, mixed driving. And if you do intend to keep the vehicle along time, the Kia Warranty is so much longer. It almost makes a decision to no-brainer.
Hunting rifle !!!
Shot gun how nice
LOVED this video so helpful
Moms use the 2nd mirror!!! It shows the kids and the other is at a different angle to see outside the vehicle
Why would you not compare a touring to a touring? Goofy
My purpose in comparing these two vehicles equipped as they were was to get the price very close to each other. My review was to hopefully help someone who is trying to figure out how to best spend their money. These two vehicles were only a few hundred dollars apart. If I had compared an Accord Touring to a Civic Touring, the price difference would have been close to $8-$10k. I didn't think that would be as useful of a comparison as the one I did here.
@@Chadscarcomps that makes sense to me now! I get that it’s like, “okay if ur in the market for a new car and lookin to spend around 30 here are some solid options side by side” I think in the future if you ever came back to a topic similar to this comparing two Hondas (or any other type of car) to appeal, not to a budget consumer, but to one looking to compare two high end models to see the differences in what their money will get them! Thanks for explaining your thought process on why you went this route! I retract my “goofy”
You forgot about the Sport package for the Odyssey to make 5 different trims. Also you compare a Sienna Platinum package over an Odyssey EX-L model, which is next in line after the base EX model. Why didn't you compare this Sienna to an Odyssey Elite model? You were better off comparing the Odyseey to a Sienna XLE model. This is not a full apples to apples comparison here.
Thanks for the comment. I did not mention the Sport trim, you are correct…my mistake. If I could have gotten my hands on an Odyssey Elite I would have compared that. I was limited to the trim levels that were available at the dealership at the time I filmed the comparisons, unfortunately.
Stopped watching when you said you will compare 2021 model to 2024 when title says 2024 vs 2024. Not accurate title on video, misleading.
Yes but 2024 is not a new generation so pretty close to the same.
I bought the wife a 23 Jeep GC Altitude in Oct of 22. 35k miles with no out of pocket costs ( 3 factory oil changes for free) thus far. Two recalls addressed and paid for by Stellantis. Averaging 23.5 mpg so far. Love the car so far, only issue is the paint chips too easily on the front end from freeway road abrasion.
Honda’s infotainment screen is tiny I wish they upgraded to the 12 inch display
Now Tug-Of-War is VERY popular, type "Ford F-150 vs. Dodge Ram 1500 Tug-Of-War" or "Dodge Ram 1500 vs. Ford Raptor: Tug Of War".
GH always because of Hybrid Fuel ⛽️ prices Hurts 😢
Toyota make a superior product to Honda… no contest.
I had a 2009 ram with nav it had a night mode. Any of these new trucks have that??? I have to shut my 2018 screen off at night. Anyone????
Nice who makes 4000000000 a year to drive these??? Dam.
I have a 2021 RAM Longhorn Limited, I absolutely love it!
No second row bench seat in the Toyotas upper trims and that 4 banger turbo, these were deal killers, going Honda Pilot. Only people that know nothing about engines would go with 4 cylinder turbo. Non-Turbo only way to go for a gas engine regardless if it's hybrid or not.
second highest trim has second row bench option in Limited trim for gas, or the fuel saving hybrid model. Bench not available on limited hybrid max power version
toyotas are nice but when they discontinued the 3.5 motor i think they screwed up
We when to look at The jeep grand Cherokee L cost 10k to 12k more if you get the hybrid hemi or premium trims if look at what they are actually costing. 75k to 80k marked down to 68k to 66k . I got my 2024 ST for 58k loaded. The jeeps not worth an extra 10k
These came out about a year ago. We bought the 1st FP700 package in Arkansas June of 2023. Outfitted the truck and it's OH SO NICE.
I would love to have this as a daily driver. Out of curiosity, what did you put it in? Short bed? Single can?
I test-drove both. I like to keep my vehicles for 10+ years, so I purchased the Toyota. Its hybrid system has no clutches, whereas the Honda has three. But the Honda rides more 'solid' and feels like it is built better.
only new thing is usb and the little screen. They are 2004 mods
Love to have one as a red single cab, paint the rest red, tube rear bumper, with the "lightning", stickers on the bed sides just like my 94. But definitely big brake kit and much wider tires.
Most of the trucks out there with this package are single cab trucks. People loved that Lightning truck! 😀😀
@Chadscarcomps yes sir I think it's one of the best looking truck they ever made.
Great Review... honest review.😀
I got A 2024 Honda Civic Sport. Im ready for them Little Dayuuuuum Kia's Now..🤨<~😂😂😂
Thank you for your APPRECIATION to your subscribers 😢😢😢
Hi Dan. Not sure if you are being sarcastic or not. 😀
@@Chadscarcomps just a hint
Probably a good idea to thank my subscribers. I hadn’t thought of that, honestly. But I will work that into future videos. 😀
Thank you
Hyundai Santa Fe has the appearance and features of a 26-year-old young man. The Honda Pilot looks and functions like a 67-year-old man.
Lets see which one lasts longer.
😄😄
I’ll take the old guy any day. Probably won’t see the Hyundai lasting more than 10 years. Unlike he the Honda; you see them 20 years later.
I have a 2023 Honda Hrv sport and I think it’s way better than both of these Sedans Crossovers are the way to go today. Plus the Honda hrv sport offers more features than the Honda civic like for instance All LEDs, Heated Seats, Blind spot monitoring, and turn signals on the mirrors and a much better and quieter ride. So those of you considering buying a Honda Civic but aren’t sure try considering the Honda hrv sport like I did and you’ll be happy. I have over 6,000 miles on mine and no issues. Also I dislike the auto stop/start feature on the Civics and both are similar vehicles as they are Hondas but the Hrv offers better features if you can get past the fuel economy numbers being a little lot lower.
the civic sport with the 1.5T is so fun to drive though. I love bombing around in that thing.
Thank you! For the very nice comparison video on these two vehicles.
The Honda, still rocking that "traditional" styling for an SUV, Hyundai on the other hand flipped "traditional" on it's head. Love the new Santa Fe design language. The back is different for sure, but I like it.
In terms of engine powertrain I will compare between prius Hybrid and Accord Hybrid In terms of size I will compare between Avalon or Crown and Accord Accord stand nowhere in front of Camry
Honda has some catching up to do with its interiors and tech for sure! On the exterior, the C-pillar looks dated IMO, prefer the all glass or blacked out C-pillar detail on SUV’s as on the Santa Fe. The gas mileage on the Pilot is also a deal-breaker, they need to come out with a hybrid. For these reasons we’re looking into the Santa Fe Caligraphy Hybrid when it comes out as a road trip vehicle. The exterior of the Santa Fe has been polarizing for sure but I appreciate the practicality of the boxy design and like that it is different. Nice review 👍
Thanks for the comment. Expect a mid-cycle refresh for the Pilot soon. That will likely not address powertrain, overall exterior look (maybe slight change), or significant changes in tech. I expect it will include a change to the multimedia screen, front end/grill, and maybe tail lights. Honda is definitely “resting on its laurels” right now with some outdated styling and tech. If it goes on too long, I would think some Honda loyalists may start to jump ship. A hybrid 4 cylinder powertrain is the likely replacement for the v6 in its next full redesign. I expect to see that first in the new Odyssey coming in 2026 model year, I believe.
OVERPRICED...Buying Used..! One With Money can Get A Great Deal without Buying New..🤨
Normally I would agree with you. But we are in an interesting time in the car market. Interest rates are very high, and the value of used cars is still pretty high. Lately, the best bang for your buck has been to buy new because of low interest rates on new cars versus used cars.of course, every situation is unique, but recently buying a new car has made more sense than buying a used one.
@@Chadscarcomps you're exactly right...
We are in the market to purchase a vehicle. Currently own a Honda Odyssey. Love this vehicle! it has served us well for 12 years but now. we are going to try the Toyota Sienna Hybrid due to the low gas mileage and I love the outlook of the car better on the inside
Going to take a long time to make up $14k in price difference though...
True. Plus no one mentions that the Hybrid batteries have to be changed around 100,000 miles which cost 3000-6000$ 🤔 . Media always leave that part out
The Honda should have been compared with the Palisade not the Santa Fe. Honda rattles a lot, not Hyundai, also Hyundai shares tech with Rolls Royce. I've had 3 Tucson's, they're just pleasant to drive.
I wanted to compare the Santa Fe against something from Honda/Toyota. Toyota didn’t have a Highlander for me to test, so I chose the Pilot. I agree that the size of the Pilot is more like the Palisade, however, Honda does not have that middle ground SUV between the CR-V and Pilot. On the short list is a Telluride/Pilot/Highlander comparison.
How about the honda passport then?
@@mrbonixan In Aus no one buys Honda anymore. Outdated.
Honda Passport has only two rows. It is not really comparable to the Santa Fe.
