Stupes and Dan Bull have obviously collaborated on a pretty wide range of songs, where obviously this fits more into the "Tune into the Madness" insanity niche, and I suspect these might be their favourites - you can really feel how much FUN they're having together. It's a great song, catchy and compelling, but man, I hope these two get to hang together for decades to come, it's just so heartwarming to see such a great friendship.
Stupendium has a channel specifically for explaining the background details; editing. He doesn't have the explanations for all his videos, but it's a start. It is called Twopendium.
that whistle before the two guys leave for tea time is a double entandre. that whistle normally is the one that tells the player that Charles is nearby and not be careless. The other being in older days in the United Kingdom breaks or ends of a shift were signaled with a whistle. So two meanings.
High Speed Rail 2 (HS2) is a Government project to build a high-speed railway linking London to the Midlands and the North of England. Originally planned to link London to Manchester and Leeds, via Birmingham it has been recently scaled down by the Government.
Loved the work they put into the intro and set. The "Sixteen Ton" lyric is a reference to a song by Tennessee Ernie Ford, that line is similar to its melody too.
The “Goriest Express” is one of the great MANY train puns/references/bars in this! Always absolutely love these productions from them, as well as your breakdowns! ~_~
My favourite parts of this song were: Dan bull spooky singing “should you want to stay safe, then I wouldn’t play games” “Won’t catch that traaaaain” (reminded me of a train screeching when it puts on its breaks) “Damn well deplatformed” “It’s all true, choo-choos consume fuel too … Ooh, you’ll do” (SO RHYMEY) “El choo-choopacabara” “Riding off peak? Don’t be ridiculous … “ The costumes. SO MUCH. Honestly just the musical esthetic of it feeling trainy. I think it’s the beat and the song feeling like it’s always moving.
I love that this song embodies the essence of train in every single part, in the music, in their vocal inflections and tones and melodies, in the lyrics, in the visuals... it's all just Train
I really loved the song and the reaction! Part of me wishes they'd stuck with the 16 Tons motif, or maybe layered it over the chorus near the end; but that's just cuz we sang it in choir and it low-key slaps. One of the few times Basses get to do something fun in choir
HS2 is trainline project in the UK, and is highly controversial and people accuse it of being approved and forced through despite the controversy. There are arguments for and against it, but in the interest of not causing a stir I'd rather not get too much into it. It is pretty much irrelevant outside of the UK. The only reason i know about this is because I read the British Broadcasting Company's news site and people like to comment about it quite a bit. On a different note, I imagine they 3D printed various props needed for the train. You'd need quite a bit to make it believable but the since this prop is a single use thing it makes more sense to 3D print it for speed and cost's sake.
By the looks of it, the train itself is built mainly from wood just painted to look right. I can't say what exactly the black edges to pieces are - whether they're wooden beams or printed plastic - but that's a minor thing. Bits like the levers, the handle for the whistle (the cord for which is an unaltered bungee cord, by the way) and likely the funnel and boiler on the front of the train are all 3D printed. In Shwabadi's video he also mentions that it only exists from the base upwards, and that the wheels and housing for them is entirely CG.
Shawabados was also in the video, and he put up a video were he talked about some of the production of this video. He also had an utter blast of a time being in the video. You should check Shawados recent video.
These are NOT fast to make. This was in development since November. If you're at all familiar with my work you'll know that I'm never on time for a trend because a high production videos like this one always trade timeliness for quality!
You should do an interview with stups asking about production. Like the passion you feel for production that I hear in your voice means you would ask the actual questions people want instead of most softball interviews that never dive in
Pretty sure it's obvious its a green screen to everyone, not cause logically but visually there isn't color or light correction done. Pretty obvious contrast between the fore and background
I remember when Stupes first updated their pronouns and you had a little trouble adjusting in the first reaction to their music afterwards. Maybe I'm stereotyping, in which case I'm sorry, but as a reactor who doesn't give off queer vibes hearing you use Stupes' pronouns casually these days is a really positive experience. You've always seemed really genuine, kind and accepting and that's what keeps me coming back to hear your thoughts in these reactions. Thanks for being a chill dude
maybe you could check out the song lonely freddy by kyle allen music its a fnaf song Its Different Then The Other Songs you Reactet (STILL GOOD REACTION)
When The Stupendium puts out a new song I can almost guarantee it will be stuck in my head for the next week at minimum.
same
More like forever, even if just a part of it.
Not forever, just until the next Stupendium release.
@@SenoraCardgage i’ve still got data stream, room for improvement, death and taxes *lists like 20 of their other songs* stuck in my head
This one is especially hard to get out of your train of thought.

Stupes actually uses they/them pronouns ^^
Twopendium is Patreon exclusive, but they're opening up older BTS videos to everyone as an incentive to support.

Thank you! I was very curious what that meant.
Das pretty cool
Being English that really made me last.
Its a banger of a song again, thats for sure. The "dining car" line was my personal favourite.

Murder on the orient express.
Funny thing. The train was actually partially a real set that they overlayed a cg train onto. Shwabadi mentions it in his reaction.
Dan bull is just literal madness, his Skyrim raps are nuts hahah
My favourite parts of this song were:
Dan bull spooky singing “should you want to stay safe, then I wouldn’t play games”
“Won’t catch that traaaaain” (reminded me of a train screeching when it puts on its breaks)
“Damn well deplatformed”

HS2 is High Speed 2, a line that is meant to connect the UK to Europe over what was at one point the old Great Central Railway.
I really loved the song and the reaction!

Stupendium is so good at making these raps and videos, that I'm surprised they can release that content so fast.
Oh yeah I love the way they're saying Charlie it scratches in an itch in my brain each time I hear it 😂
I love going through the reactions to this just to see everyone's double take after the euphemisms
8:18 Full sprint, nothing, I’m using all four of my limbs.
I'd love to see you do an interview with The Stupendium. I think it'd be really interesting.

I love their lyrics. "All aboard the WTF Express" indeed
since this came out i’ve listened to it like 20 times by now lol

Spider train, spider train. Does whatever a spider train does
Right when the whole choo-choo Charles craze comes to an end he makes a song about it
These are NOT fast to make. This was in development since November. If you're at all familiar with my work you'll know that I'm never on time for a trend because a high production videos like this one always trade timeliness for quality!
Bit late, but i love how the beat is a train chugging along
Right twin, Charles spider trains to disappears from the Internet. Then he makes a song about it.

i recommend you to watch Shwabadi reacting to this video, because he talks there about behind the scenes stuff.
Oh shit, you taught at Kstate?? Glad to see a fellow/former Kansan on the platform. What years did you teach?
Just for the year of 2014 haha. They didn’t have the budget to keep me on and since I was new I got the axe.
I remember hearing that the only real part of the train was the box they were in.

I try to be as respectful as I can. I do slip up at times when I get lost in thought however haha. Thanks!
It isn't rap, but dang if Geoff Castellucci's Sixteen Tons isn't great. It is fabulous.
HS2 is a controversial new train track being built in English that costs a shit-ton. Bit late but just fyi
ELECTROSWING MENTIONED
hello there

Why do your voice sound like ASMR
maybe you could check out the song lonely freddy by kyle allen music its a fnaf song Its Different Then The Other Songs you Reactet (STILL GOOD REACTION)
