I live in San Diego, Calif. USA. The sunflower and gladioli arrangement is beautiful, more with these flowers would be wonderful. Also arrangements with calla lilies, dahlias, and bird of paradise would be nice too.
I really like this design. The vibrant yellow of the sunflowers works so well with the pale gladioli and I love the white mitsumata sticks, fabulous design. x
Hi there, what a great question? This isn't a vegetative flower arrangement for several reasons. If you are currently studying floristry or flower arranging then a Vegetative arrangement needs to have its flowers arranged in the shape and style that they would naturally grow in, they need to be from the same season, same growing environment and the design wouldn't have an outline shape. In the arrangement the sunflowers have been arranged in a line, this isn't how they naturally grow, they been placed to create a pattern. In a vegetative style they would be arranged like they would grown in the field/garden. If you think of the dried palms and fatsia these are arranged in groups, so not the way they naturally grow. Hi Victoria, there are loads of arrangement you can watch that don't use floral foam. There are tutorials with wire netting, Kenyans and environmentally friendly biodegradable foam if you want to take a look at those too

Thank you, Gladioli are in season here in the UK, so I'll be using more of them over the next month or so.

Here in the UK it would be classed as a Decorative arrangement if you are using the European Design Schema as your reference.
Really like arrangement but don't care for white sticks. To me, not needed
