The oil looked pretty clean. Was it worth it or will a top up do? My Jazz has done 116k miles. It shifts OK but im thinking maybe i should change it as ive only owned it 3 months and dont know if its been changed out.
Hi I got the oil changed out on Saturday. I hope it stops slipping into neutral when I go from first to second gear. It still did it just after but been OK last two days. It does seem quite a long throw and notchy compared to other manuals like a vw.
no, check manufacturer's manual; typical its every 100,000 kms or more, I would lower vehicle try to get all the oil; i would set it down, start the engine, raise the drive wheel, and go briefly thru the gears, incl. reverse. Raise it and replace the oil. I would epoxy a neodymian super magnet on the lowest point of the case. use only approved oil.
Single best 'how to' mechanical video I've ever seen, thank you. Succinct but specific, all information written out.
Excellent, clear-cut tutorial for the Honda Fit. Others I've watched are either low production quality or just not very explanatory.
Thanks excellent video.
What is the exact location of the gearbox I have a 2005 Honda Fit?
Hose size?
How many liters?
What is the size of the robertson screw used for the removal of drain plug?

I shifted much smoother after changing the oil. Easy to do and not too expensive.

Its the metallic dirt you want. The oil will go 300k -- its an ancillary lube only.
@@heyhandersen5802 I changed it a month ago. It was OK. However the clutch fluid is dirty so that's next.
it's like a step is skipped. Where is this located? The front drivers side I think, based on other videos.
Yes you are correct.
