What To Do When Your Ex Goes Back To Their Ex
So, you are worried because your ex, went back to their ex. Usually the thing I encourage people to do is to determine if they are the rebounds for their ex. I have done many videos about how your ex is going off and having a rebound a relationship. Well this video is asking if you are the rebound.
Well there are two things you need to be looking at
#1 - How quickly did your ex move on from their previous relationship to you?
For you to be the rebound then your ex needs to have moved on from his previous relationship very quickly, let’s define what quickly looks like. Generally speaking, we’re looking at a relationship being moved on from within a week to a month.
#2 - The four phases of a rebound relationship
One of my most popular videos here was the four phases of a rebound relationship,
Phase #1 - The mini honeymoon period, we’ve all been in a relationship that is all candy and roses. This is the first phase that a rebound relationship goes through
Phase #2 - Cracks begin to form, often this happens when you have your first argument and sometimes arguing can appear very early on if the honeymoon period is shortened. It’s just every relationship is different.
Phase #3 - Fight or flight phase, when the cracks being to form in the relationship your ex with either argue with you a lot or they will fly away or run away, and skip the fourth phase all together.
Phase #4 - An epiphany, a moment of clarity where they realise they made a mistake in a relationship. I should have gone back to my previous one, i didn’t know how good I had it.
Now the point of me recording this video is for me to give you an idea of what you should be looking out for, most of the time when we enter into a break up we look at our situation with blinders on afraid to look at the broad view of the relationship. And you notice the relationship fit these four phases you may have been the rebound to your ex.
There are three things that I want to tell you about and if you find that your relationship falls into one of these sections it is likely that you are not going to succeed. That doesn’t mean that you can’t succeed it just means that your chances are exponentially lower.
#1 - Your ex is still married to their ex. But that is pretty much common sense, you shouldn’t be trying to get an ex back who is married.
#2 - How long your ex has been with his ex for. If you look at your ex's relationship on a whole, if it was five years, six years or even ten years it is pretty hard to complete with.
#3 - Your ex cheated on his ex, with you. Now there are two things that you need to hear as hard as it may be. If your ex is willing to cheat on his ex, what’s going to stop him from doing the same to you. Secondly, do you want to be with a man who values women so low that he would cheat on them?
Now we have only been looking at the bad, sort of red flags that you should be looking out for. That doesn’t mean that there isn’t good flag that you should be keeping an eye out for, and in my opinion, there is one big good thing that you should keep your eyes peeled out for if your ex and their ex is in a on and off again relationship quite frequently that can actually be an extremely good sign.
One of the tell-tale signs, that there are phases and those are the on and off again phases. What can happen is that your ex is in the on phase and you were the off again phase. So, what should you do?
So, what you should be doing is extending your no contact period, there are three different types of no contact, 21-day, 30-day and 45-day rule. And we have done some research and what we found that, 45-day rule is the most effective. Quite frankly we think that the more time that you leave your ex with his ex the cracks start to form, and that’s when the break up starts again. And that is where we recommend the being there method, this is a morally grey area, but the being there method is using the exes girlfriends insecurities by simply being there, competing for your exes time, where he and you are often communicating and the girlfriend is growing insecure blowing up her relationship and he will start looking at you for a better relationship than his current girlfriend.

@@s.elizabeth1753 yes, he did. We got back together, because I was stupid and believed that he changed haha. We were together for about one year and two months, but it didn’t really work out and I broke up with him in January. Which was the best decision for me.
A friend of mine found him on Tinder while we were still together, which she told me after we broke up.
So, I am glad that he is finally out of my life.

So if there out of a relationship for more than a week to a month then they’re no longer on the rebound ? Umm hell no . People can get hung up on exes for YEARS ! I’d say at least 6 months minimum . You’ll know by how much they talk about their ex, even if it’s negative talk about them . The negative talk is due to them being angry at the ex for being hurt . If they were over it they wouldn’t be talking about the ex at all.
My ex was in a LDR prior to me. She said they decided to just be friends. But they knew one another for 10 years. One where he wouldn’t date her when they lived close.

I just don’t understand why would anyone want to get back with such a weak-minded and cowardly individual who goes back to their ex and then can’t make up their mind. Look for a better option who had a clean breakup and is over their ex. You might be the love of their life.
I too am going through a tough break up. The red flags that Chris alluded to were there and I ignored them. To make a long story short, my ex that I have dated for 5 years cheated on me with her ex that she was in relationship with for 7 years. She pretty much did to me what she did to him before she ended up breaking up with him. She was actually was sleeping with me and then sleeping with him behind my back for at least 3 weeks before I kicked her out of my apartment. She was so disrespectful and dishonest. They say time will heal of course so we just need to stay positive and be strong and work on a better version of ourselves. Let me know if there's anything I can say or encourage anyone who is hurting and if there's anything you can share, please do. There should be a support group for broken relationships. haha...seriously though

We're in the same situation. It's been one month now since we broke up. This is the red flag that the guy is talking about. It's better not to go back with this woman anymore. Be glad that she's now destroying someone else's life, not yours.

My situation is complicated. My ex and I were together four four years we lived together and were engaged. The relationship was good and happy and we never argued. Things became strained at the end in the last couple of months and I think she was cheating on me with her ex. Three months ago she ended the relationship and almost immediately got back with her ex. They were together for three years before me and they work together. I miss her so much and her children. I don’t know what to do!

My ex told me that I probably loved them more than they loved me. Should have broke up right them and there. Never. Again. And now I heard from HER EX that she wants to get back with him. He told me he doesn't quite want to.

I was supposed to move into my exes, he gave me a ring and said he wanted to have children this year, etc. Then he ghosted out of nowhere and went back to an ex. We are not here on earth just to goof around the whole day, she made my life a living hell, but that don't stop me from getting out of my job and creating my own income. I think about my kid's often, I want to be able to go pick them up from school in something fancy, my point is I'm trying to give them something I've never had in life,and I won't stop because someone does not see my value, don't beat yourself up because they promised you this and that. You have to understand that people make promises everyday, they never fulfill them. Be your own promise and promise yourself you'll become a better person and have ground,we all deserve love but learning to love yourself first is a must.

So he left me 3 days ago after 4 years for his first sons mother packed his bags left to the airport yesterday while I was half asleep no good bye All while pregnant . I’m mourning for the family I’ll never have but idk why because he was horrible to me for about two weeks before . It just hurts because they were broken up 2 years because she cheated on him during their six year relationship but this was before I came in the picture I didn’t split them up she was engaged to someone else half of our relationship for 2 years . I also just found out he cheated on me with her in July and that’s when they decided they wanted to be together for their family . The difference between her and I is I never tore her family apart they just broke up but she played a hand in tearing apart my family . She started manipulating him with his son and throwing herself out him saying he needs to be with his family and not me . They plotted together on this since July . He’s at fault to of course but this all just hurts and it’s getting worse.. the fact I was pregnant while he cheated and he left me for her is sickening . That’s the only difference is im pregnant by him and he’s gone I know it won’t last because it didn’t the first time but I just wonder if we’ll end up back together we have to deal with one another for life because of our baby. I was not a rebound I was with my ex for 9 yrs. She left me for her ex side fling from high school. They never really dated just messed around back in high school and college. When we got together she hadn’t been with her in 9 months. She got caught cheating with the girl and left to be with her. Two months I went no contact and then she reaches out to tell me she miss me and made a mistake. She confessed that she still loves me. Comes to see me and asks me to come see her. She have told me that the ex was her what if and she realize that they are two different people and that they will never work. I asked her if she still love me; she says yes. She tells me that the chemistry we have is amazing and she feels she can be herself with me. My ex calls me and text me everyday but yet still deal with the girl. I told her I don’t know how long I can deal with her being with this other person and she said I don’t know how I can deal with dealing with two people. Am I crazy or did I miss something?
Hey Deshay, you need to go into a No Contact NOW your ex needs to worry that you are going to walk away from her. You need to do a 45 day NC and focus on yourself. Then you need to prepare yourself for the being there method. But if your ex feels they are going to lose you they are going to be forced to make a decision. Even though you already did two months of NC when your ex told you all the right things they got to have that intimate comfort feeling from you without making decisions. Without committing to you again.
I swear we have similar stories, Most important, you have to do what's best for you.

my ex immediately started talking to his "fwb" right after we broke up. i think they were together for a shorter amount of months (maybe 4 or 5) while him and i were dating for 8 months. he told me he didn't love me anymore and how he can't do a relationship...and then within a week he started talking to her.

Yes I know what you mean, everyone tells you that because it's easy to say "f*** him or let him go" because their not in your shoes at the moment. But for us it's hard because it just recently happened and we were caught off guard and it's hard because of the time together with that person. My best advice (coming from a person that this just happened to a month ago after 5yr relationship) is to stay busy, get out the house as often as possible, don't contact them, and let time heal you and they'll start feeling like they want you back because your now doing better and moving on but don't fall for it so quickly because now you'll have the power over them!

I was with her 6 yrs she cheated on me with him. Then, try to convince she moved on fast and we.. together. Then, I went to her and talk it out but we went out together again. Then, she told me she is lost and feel like a failure after we tried to work it out for 1 yr. Then, 9 months later i heard she went back to guy she cheated on me with. My ex was with his ex for a little less than 2 years. Shw cheated on him many times and she was the one who broke up that relationship. My ex wanted to be back to her ex, wich from my observation don't go well-her ex don't want her anymore.
Before, It was just a month after they broke up, before we start dating. There was honeymoon phase, but we rarely argue over something, wich is bad in it self, but nowit makes me questioning were our relationship serious or not? after 5 month we went through an LDR and in her town she met her ex and she start missing the relationship with him. A month later she told me that she don't have the feelings for me anymore and wanted a break up. Without ever mentioning about her ex.
Now she goes through a heart break because of her ex don't want another relationship with her. And I don't know what to do.
Hey Krisman, give her some time to get over the ex because it sounds as if you could possibly be the rebound the first time around. I would work on your Holy Trinity and show her that you are great person to have and then when she is ready for dating again, be there just don't be overly keen to jump back into a relationship. Take it slow
