Bro, you have too, you HAVE to listen to all of The Weeknd's projects from beginning to end. Each one is extremely different than the next and shows his growth as an artist, his career, and his life. Each project is also the best piece of music you'll hear in a long time. Starting from Trilogy, a triple, 30 track, mix-tape record with House of Balloons, Thursday, then Echoes of Silence. Probably the best piece of music you'll hear in a long time singlehandedly. Then after that his debut album Kiss Land. Then his sophomore album Beauty Behind The Madness; you might know a few songs from this album unexpectedly. Then his third album STARBOY; you also might have heard one or two from this album as well. Then, his 2018 EP that was supposed to be a callback to his older, dark, grim, and depressed music back in 2012 with Trilogy: My Dear Melancholy. Then listen to his recent 2020 highly anticipated album After Hours. Then the 3 bonus tracks. It will be an amazing ride to watch and see you become a fan and enjoy The Weeknd's extremely good music, and seeing you go through all of his distinct eras. Each having a different sound to the next. Please try and do this, make it some series- you'll gain so much recognition from The Weeknd's fanbase 'XO'. Thanks again man, you're amazing, XOTWOD.

The weeknd is Magic. He's different special. His voice is hypnotizing. In every song of him i hear MJ. His voice is not in words to describe how amazing. He's live even better!
His trilogy album is phenomenal. Probably the best first project an artist has ever released. If you enjoy the raw vocals, listen to those three mixtapes, Kissland, and a few songs on Beauty Behind the Madness

The real song is called D.D. so that may be why you couldn't find an official version (this one has some slight effects that the original doesn't have) and the song is on the Trilogy album of his, you can find it there! 👌

The Weeknd killed this cover, MJ & Prince were his biggest inspirations If I’m not mistaken, The Weeknd took certain elements from them, made it his own. He’s prolific and very underrated, I’m just glad he’s getting more recognition.

Dirty Diana is my favorite song from Michael Jackson as he is my fav artist and i discovered The Weeknd in 2012 with this cover and he became my other fav artist...Funny to know this song from MJ actually inspired The Weeknd the write songs and i think during trilogy we can clearly hear that he was inspired by this song from the very haunting instrumental, lyrics...

hey man! just been binging ur videos big time! love the channel and breakdowns. The weeknd (abel) is my all time favourite artist so this is awesome to see! just a heads up of his old music - a lot of it can be quite dark and he liked to explore this side of himself and sort of 'expose' it so he can see the mistakes he's making. Its a common theme across all his music about his past but just know that he does like to explore the darkness which is exactly the reason he grew so much because of how unique it is! Abel's a good guy, he's just had troubled pasts and delves into his character in his music.

@@MetalGuyReacts yeah I would say it is very much worth it if you have been enjoying his tracks. It's very different from either starboy and Blinding lights which I know you liked but it's got its own vibe which shaped a lot of the RnB scene of the 2010s

I enjoy this version so much better than the original, I like his take on it. He made it so much darker and more seducing than MJ, who has a more... aggressive approach, I guess you can say? At least compared to the weeknd's. Obviously, without the original, this cover wouldn't exist lol, but still, never cared for it. Don't get me wrong, I love MJ, he'll always be the king of pop, but I never considered Dirty Diana one of his best songs, I actually think is one of his weakest, so I'm not hesitant to say that I think this cover is better than the og. I like everything off this version better than the original, from the vocals to the production. And yeah, I said vocals, I know MJ had a better vocal range on his song, but I don't think that's necessarily a good thing, sometimes less is more. And the production is heavenly too, from the echoes on the background, to the drums, the harmonies ugh man, it's just eargasmic.
