Thank you for taking me back to Nigeria for a little while. My heart beats hard every time I see this because I want to be there so badly. This is the place I'm going to retire.
@@dollyosadolor1489 me too my sister!! i don tire for dis US were i dey!! i don tell my hubby i wan leave n stay in Nigeria. i no dey happy living here
Thank you for showing me this. I really appreciate it. My husband tells me about Nigeria but it is hard to understand what the roads and such are like unless you see it. He told me about the markets as well. It is just as he described with your video showing the market and the roads. Thank you again!
Another lovely video, thank you so much for taking me home. Mile 12 market- tomatoes, pepper and onions central I don't know anyone who eats tomatoes as much as Nigerians. Not even Italians can compete. Waiting to Part 2
Thank you for a very good insight....a lot of people posting their experiences never take the time to go in-depth, always keen to show the glossy side (VI, Lekki etc). Well done.
Aunty Flo thank you for this video. God I miss Nigeria, my anxiety was also up because of how busy the market is and omg you driving into the market, props to you Aunty
If you're ever in the US and you happen to stop by Maryland, you're more than welcome to stay with me. I charge one pot of ogbono soup per week. I'm serious!
Waooo, my beautiful sister FLO, you have taking me to NIGERIA oooo, waoo I love this video, please ooo, part2 please, I need to watch to the END. You no I am a Nigerian woman, I love that country, good or bad is my country, I love it Beautiful people. Thanks for sharing. Part 2 PLEASE.
I visited this market last week. It’s very much more congested by over 400% of this clip. You’ll literally be pushed down, you and your phone, it was impossible to even bring out my phone let alone record. Lovely clip. Weldone
I really enjoyed watching this episode.i can’t wait to visit Nigeria again.my sweet home that I have missed for a long time .wether we have good road or not,I still love nigeria 🇳🇬.
yeeeeh another market video. Flo next time just take us straight to market, Lagos driving can give someone high bp😂, i wasnt the one behind the steering but i was scared. Nice video i enjoyed it.
Flo, you really tried oh! Wow, to be walking through these muddy markets. I am not sure if I could still do that. I remember when I was younger going to the market with my mum was a whole days event. We would park the car and then trek miles through the diffrent corners of the market. I used to hate it then and even though I really enjoy watching these videos I doubt I will be going to market in any of my next visits to Naija.😂
Wow! Very Interesting as usual. That guy that directed you to pack and still guided you to the tomato arena.. Did he ask for money or u just tipped him anything u wanted? Nigeria is so blessed in it's own way. See ppl hustling. So many people. Those yams the yam seller was talking about, were calling my name. White yam with red oil.. Yum!!! 😍
Aunty Flo ooo,U remind me of this market used to follow my mum to the market...cos she sells yam in bulk and still do Wow thanks for sharing oo. Nah lie dat guy dey talk go inside the yam market itself u go see yam berekete.
She actually goes to the farm to bring yam to mile 12 ,so is quite cheap .But am sure she will do discount for u lol.....But seriously aunty Flo I missed 9ja market everything nah fresh oo
Chai!!, I followed you all the way. You tried, driving in Lagos. I don't think I can. And driving inside that market was something else. It sure didn't look drivable and see people struggling with the cars. Walking to the tomato depot was something else. I was even tired for you, while I wasn't the one walking😜 and the ground was eeeeewwwww. I so miss Naija. I felt like I was there with you. Thanks so much for sharing😘😘😘
Edith M lol @ tired for me. Kosite driving in Lagos is inevitable o especially for someone that is there often. If you don't drive, na public transport be that o. Frying pan to fire because you can't catch uber all the time.
This video reminds me of home, I live in mile12, and I go to this market everyday cos my mom has a shop dere, chai I miss mile12 o, I heard they are moving the market soon.
Wow. Mile 12 have not really changed a bit. I used to go to that market with my parents and later we moved to mile 12. It still has horrible roads and the bridge where you turn to head to mile 12 is a trap where council men extorts money from the u turn offenders. I hope you enjoyed your trip.
You are correct. Having lived there for a few years I had my fair share of run ins and know the best time to use that first turn. Anyways that same mile 12 market was on the news a few weeks ago where a truck failed its brake and killed lots of people. Anyways It is also the best place to buy yams. tomatoes, peppers and meat. Thank you for showing the route. It reminded me of the road I ply for a few years before migrating to America. I have not been back there since 2005.
Loving all of your videos! I'm traveling to Ibadan next year to see my Yoruba boyfriend... Maybe you can do a video teaching us how to speak Yoruba language 💖 please and thank you for great content!
Downtown Kingston , Jamaica looks a lot like this. I would never drive my car down there. I hardly go to that area at any rate- too many criminals from the surrounding ghettoes are there. I applaud your courage though! 😊
There's a car park under the bridge. That's where I usually park for 300 hundred naira. Then, I walk into the market. I don't have energy to drive into the market.
Really? We even paid another N300 in the carpark. Add that to the gate fee and it was N600.Then count the stress of driving in there. I will inform SIL. Thank you.
Drive to and into the market - pure CHAOS! 😳 I sometimes pity the Lagos government, trying to foist a 21st century city upon a largely 19th century populace. On the highway, folks were walking along the middle divider when there appeared to be perfectly functional sidewalks on each side (some folks even appeared to sitting on the dividers). Meanwhile, the mesh wire in the middle of the highway (especially around Ketu) have been torn up and bastardized as folk simply ignore the pedestrian bridges and instead prefer to play Russian roulette dashing across the highway.
Exactly! A huge re-education of Nigerians needs to happen for people to even organize themselves. When one does the right thing in Nigeria the majority look at the person like he/she is stupid. So sometimes even the few good people join the rest because it is frustrating when one is the only person doing the right thing.
I LOVE it! Sis. you are so funny and I love your market manners. It is proof that we have to be very fast and friendly while at the same time being very aware of our surroundings, vigilant and somewhat no non-sense when we are there. Example of the latter, "Don't touch me like that again. Am I your wife?" Hahaha! You get em SIs! haha Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for taking me back to Nigeria for a little while. My heart beats hard every time I see this because I want to be there so badly. This is the place I'm going to retire.

You're always at home when you visit, to the extent that you don't see our markets as different from what you have in Spain.

Looks like the streets of New Orleans!
What was the logic in driving through a busy & challenging market place? Is this the norm?
Faith H that's where the car park is. If you park at the wrong place your vehicle will be towed. Lots of things are not logical in Nigeria.
See tomatoes see onions I love my country Nigeria
